The sun was looming overhead as the Dovaa went into the peaceful Valley of Andrah. Her stroll was to lead into the Forests of Aurinead so that she would finally end up at Lake Amafel. That was the plan anyway. However, who knew what the fates had in store for her today.
Kavanna oftentimes liked to come to Lake Amafel to get away, a peaceful trip to the most serene lake in all the world. She always found herself at peace, no matter what troubles she was going through in life, when she visited the healing lake. They say that the lake is for physical healing; but Kavanna had always found it to be a mental, emotional, and spiritual healing all the same.
The Dovaa took a deep breath, breathing in all of the farm air as she passed the rows and rows of growth that came from the Andrah Valley. So far, her trek was quite peaceful, but who knew what could come of such a day as today. Kavanna was always weary of what a day could bring. Despair or happiness. Harmony or destruction. These were all things she had learned to expect from any given day. One could only hope that the gods were in favor of a day of peace and relaxation.

A day off. Since when did Daesat give her a day off? Never, but recently her mentor seemed to be worried and so when Dae had told her to get out of the city and relax because she had off, Xenosa could only comply. She’d just come back from a hunting trip, trying to find some Kiandri dragons with some success. She’d fully expected to be back to her training, but it seemed otherwise. There was only one place that Xenosa could properly relax and that was at Lake Amafel. So going back to the small home she shared with her mentor, Xenosa stripped herself of some weapons, worn leather and opted for some loose pants and a plane shirt with her cloak.
The road was seemingly empty that day, Xenosa walked past a few other Orderites but no other race seemed to be going this way. It wasn’t until she was almost there that she did spot something out of the ordinary, horns protruding high and mighty from a head, which meant a Dovaa. Xen took a deep breath, features settling into a frown as she increased her pace. She wasn’t exactly equipped to fight someone, but she was curious but she was curious as to where the stranger was headed. Goddess help her if they were going the same way, she didn’t want a Dovaa to sully her peace.

It wasn't rare to see an Orderite on the continent of Serenia, obviously, and the Dovaa woman was quite used to it. They seemed like an accepting people, for the most part, who didn't want to fight with the Dovaa race whatsoever. That was the lucky part, in Kavanna's eyes.
The Dovaa approached the lake's calm and peaceful surface, dipping her toes into the water, when out of the corner of her eye, she saw yet another Orderite coming down the path to the lake as well. Kavanna always liked meeting new people, and not many were at the lake today that she could see, and maybe this would be an opportunity to make a new friend.
Kavanna took her foot out of the healing waters and began her trek to meet this new girl, who seemed rather upset about something with the frown upon her countenance. The Dovaa took it upon herself to figure out what was wrong with the Orderite. "Hello there, miss." she began with a warm smile. "My name is Kavanna. Is something wrong?" she concluded, hoping that there was something she could do to brighten the girl's day.

Oh lord the woman was turning around and coming out towards her now, if she could have shown horror on her face she would have. However, now there was no choice. She’d even spoken out to Xenosa, asking her what was wrong! Everything was wrong! A quick rude reply bubbled up to her lips and then died down as she stared the woman down. Daesat would smack her for attempting to take on a much older woman at this close a range. Better to comply now and avid a fight, but she wasn’t going to hand over her good side.
Taking a deep breath to fight down her anger, Xenosa moved passed her to sit by the water and take off her shoes. “The world is wrong.” She said in her calmest voice, or she tried to anyway. She might come off as uptight, but at least her comment had been ambiguous. She knew she would only insight further response from the woman though, better to switch the subject quickly. “So what’s a Dovaa doing so far from home?” That was a good start, maybe if she went for a swim the lake would help her relax the tenseness she was feeling.

Tasinei Sorry for the late response! @ n @ Kavanna gave a face of concern to the little Orderite. She nodded in agreement with her conclusion. The girl was right to think so, as the world was taking a turn for the worse. She wondered what the little Orderite had been through to make her so upset, but the girl changed the subject before Kavanna could even ask a question.
"Well, I live on the outskirts of Ashen City with my husband and his mother. I've lived here in Serenia for years. It's my home, and I've never thought of it any other way. The Celestial Plane is a beautiful place…but it's not for me." the Dovaa responded as she walked closer to the girl and then stared out over the beautiful valley that was before the two.
"The Valley is certainly a beautiful place this time of year, isn't it? I love it any season, but this is the perfect weather for a nice stroll through. Peaceful, quiet, and full of beauty." the Dovaa said, taking in a deep breath and exhaling it soon after. She ended up with a smile on her face after doing so, and she looked back at the little Orderite who seemed disgruntled at the very least. Maybe she was one of the Orderites that didn't care for the Dovaa? Kavanna had been through that so many times before, just walking the streets of Ashen City. It didn't bother her, because as long as she didn't do anything wrong, she would be allowed in the city, being a Dovaa.

So this woman was married to an Orderite? Bonus points to her in Xenosa’s book, granted it still didn’t beat being a full fledge Orderite. “The Ashen city has its own kind of beauty.” She’d never seen The Celestial Plane, but she was sure Ashen city was twice as beautiful. “So not so far from home.” Xenosa concluded; she wasn’t exactly sure if she was going to have any similar subjects to talk about with this woman. She had to remind herself that she was on her day off and she was going to enjoy it whether or not the Dovaa woman was going to be here with her all day.
“Yes it is.” Peace and quiet had been why she’d come to begin with. “I only come here on days I’m not hunting; it’s nice to be reminded there is still some good in the world.” All the ugliness of killing was washed away here; minus dragons of course, that was a necessity to life after all. War had been extinguished when she was still young, but that didn’t mean people still weren’t dying. “so are you here to sunbath or are you jumping in the lake for a swim?”
