Eanah had seen the dark dragons of Soudul flying overhead many times before, but she had never dared to approach the beasts. She had been warned to stay away from the places they gathered since she was small, and until she had first reached the Sanctuary, she had been nothing if not law-abiding. Besides, they usually wanted nothing to do with a wisp of a girl like her anyway.

Her recent trip to Kaiatasel had filled the Oblivionite with an anxious recklessness that had her looking to the heavens today, not in curiosity or appreciation, but with a determined bloodlust. She had felt the power of the blood moon before, but never to this extent. The rules and self imposed boundaries she had adhered to as a child no longer seemed quite so important.

Determined to lose the shadow that was her younger sister, Eanah had risen early, packed some provisions, and was now, hours later, strolling outside the city, her pale Kiandri companion at her side. Thren was as carefree as Eanah was focused, but that didn't mean he was harmless. The teenaged drakein rolled in a patch of grass nearby, his front feet pawing the air in between long stretches of staring at the sky.

The firani drakien was flying when he spotted her and her drakien sort of pale and copper toned rolling around in the grass. It was the month of the blood moon, and he didn't need to be a daibi drakien to feel its full power coursing through his sinister veins. He gave a grin as he took wing and angled himself down towards the ground. Landing lightly as he then folded in his bright green leathery wings before giving a toothed grin towards the Oblivionite and her bonded.

To him it didn't bother him one way or another if a drakien was bonded, they were all pawns in his game.

"Greetings, perfect night for a hunt." He greeted sounding quite gentlemanly and polite. "With it being the month of the Blood Moon ..it feels as if every night was perfect for such a task."

Kavanna felt the rush of power...the blood lust...as the Blood Moon was upon the world of Magesc. It seemed as though during this time of the year, everyone was on edge and wanting to kill. The Blood Moon was probably the cause of many a dragon's death this time of year.

For some strange reason, Kavanna had wanted to go back to the lake of destruction, that was, Lake Koralifel. She felt as though if she visited the dark lake on Soudul, the dark energy would be sucked out of her. That was the myth anyway, and she hated this feeling with her whole being. Fighting the dragons was one thing when one needed to gather their orbs for power or even cutting off their different parts before killing them so one could enjoy a delicious meal. But to kill just for the sake of killing was...so wrong to the Ysali Dovaa. It was against her every moral code. She had really grown up from the adventurous little girl she used to be. Now she wanted peace, harmony, and love abound. Though of course, this was Magesc, not heaven.

As she made her way along the dark path that led to the lake, she shivered with fear, hearing the call of the dark Diabi dragons above. Those dragons always made her nervous. The Aedaun on Serenia were much more whimsical and their calls seemed to be like a lullaby in comparison to these dark, evil-sounding calls. Soudul was just not the place for a lover of Serenia. That's what Kavanna had determined.

Before she made it to her desired location, she spotted an Oblivionite woman with a lightly colored Drakein from behind as well as another Keinova Drakein who was much more dark; a kind of Drakein she had never seen before. Kavanna didn't know if this was going to turn into a fight, but she felt something off about these three.

'Maybe I should just go see if they're okay...' she thought to herself as she held her arms, the chills coming back with every step she took.

"Excuse me, is everything alright here?" she began, then seeing the face of the Oblivionite woman she gave a crooked smile, a look of curiosity appeared on the Dovaa's face. "Do I...know you?" she asked, looking the girl over. It had been years since she was last on the continent of Soudul, and one could only wonder if the two had crossed paths before.

The Dovaa also didn't keep her eyes off of the dark Drakein much, just to keep her mind safe, though, obviously, more attention was being paid to the woman whom she had a faint recognition of. The fates definitely showed her that she needed to be here today, but only the gods knew why.

The feral Firani was difficult to miss, even though Eanah was mostly interested in the dragons. She watched him come in for a graceful landing nearby, mentally checking her expression in the hopes that she might keep the wonder out of it. Thren watched as well, his mouth open in a stiff reptilian smile. The Oblivionite had seen unbonded drakein before from afar, but besides than that horrible humanoid male in the desert, she had never actually spoken to one. At the mention of a hunt she bared her teeth slightly in an unintentional grin. Was that why she had come here? Even if it hadn't been her initial reason, it was still a worthwhile way to spend some time.

"I suppose you're right," she agreed with a nod. "Would you care to..."

Thren's interest in the drakein waned at the Dovaa's approach. Eanah turned to face the other woman, but unlike her bonded, half of her attention remained on the Firani.

"Do you?" she replied, giving Kavanna a once over. There was a flash of memory followed by another smile, this one less hungry and more welcoming. "Yes. We met when I was a girl." She imagined Kavanna had been relatively young then as well, but at the time she and her magic had been enviable. "It is good to see you again." She looked back at the keinova, including him in her introduction. "I am Eanah. And this is Thren."

Glowing green eyes watched the approach of the dovaa and the smile on his face only seemed to deepen. Some part of him hoped the oblivionite and the dovaa would try and kill each other, but to his disappointment they seemed to know each other. The world today, far too much civility towards each other. Where were the good old days where people killed each other on sight? Oh well, best to play the game and see how it turned out.

"I am known as Discord," the drakien finally replied rather courteously before he turned his head to stare up at the darkening sky. Tendrils of smoke escaped his nostrils as he stared hungrily at the small dots moving about in the sky. The blood moon made it almost impossible for him to control his evil intentions, he was on edge wanting to sink his teeth in the closest thing that contained blood, but that would be the three that were near him right now.

"I think we may be having some company soon....our gathering has not gone un-noticed by the dragons in this realm."

"Yes, it is nice to see you again. Strange coincidence. I'm Kavanna." the Dovaa said, keeping her distance from the feral Drakein and sticking closer to the Oblivionite's side. This girl that she once knew was now a woman, it was shocking to see the transformation of someone as one grew. Kavanna's memory flushed before her as she began to remember the Oblivionite and the time they had met before. She had just chosen her weapon if the Dovaa remembered correctly, and it was at the time in her life that she had just been burned by the Firani all those years ago. That was even before the birth of her son. Now that was a long time ago.

Turning her attention to the Drakein, it was obvious that he wasn't here to cause immediate trouble, as he had introduced himself. But the name he went by, Discord, it seemed almost intentional. Was he himself bringing about the Diabi? Kavanna was unsure of how to deal with the Drakein as he was one of the first Feral she had ever come into contact with. He looked almost evil, and the Blood Moon surely lent no help to that aspect. Kavanna kept running her hands up and down her arms as she shivered in nervousness looking up to see the dark specs overhead. She wasn't necessarily looking for a fight, but would surely defend herself had she the need to.

"Why would you say that, Discord? Did you have something to do with bringing them here or are you alerting them to our presence? Not sure how to take your words, as you are a Feral Drakein. Do you not have a close relationship to the dragons of this land?" the Dovaa spoke naively. She hadn't ever witnessed the power of a Feral Drakein before. She only ever knew of their dragon-esque appearance and their relationship to the Dragons. Did they not have a close bond to each other when they weren't bonded to a Magescian? The only thought in Kavanna's mind was that if anything happened with the Diabi, she would definitely be blaming the Drakein known as Discord.

"Discord," Eanah said with a respectful nod. She glanced back up at the sky as well, taking note of the positions of the Diabis. They were circling slightly closer to the ground now, and she had no desire to be caught by surprise by one dragon, let alone... She did a quick count.

Six. Six Diabi dragons.

As she brought her gaze back to the earth, Thren rolled to his feet and joined his bonded. The Kiandri was especially curious to hear how the other drakein responded. Could Discord call Diabis? Talk to them? Whenever he and Eanah had ventured close enough to the beasts to start a conversation, the dragons had never seemed particularly friendly. He had never thought the reason might have been the Oblivionite at his side, not until the Dovaa had put the idea in his head. Not that he would give Eanah up. No dragon was worth that.

"Even if he is calling them, all it means is that there will be six fewer dragons in the world very shortly." Eanah turned another faint smile Kavanna's way as she drew her scepter from her cloak. One of the dragons shrieked in anger and dove for the gathered figures below, pulling up short and continuing to circle before it could reach the ground.

Just a little lower now...

The firani drakien chuckeled and he seemed almost amused at the accusation. Him? Bring the dragons here? If only he had such a commanding power over them. Sadly no, they had probably just spotted the four from the air, and they were in their territory so it was only logical that they would come not only to investigate but to put an end to the trespassers.

"Though I may resemble the diabi with my dark hide, I assure you I am proudly a firani drakein. I hold no such power to call or control the ones coming to greet us. They are probably on patrol...diabi are fiercely territorial...and probably wish to be rid of us pests." He mused looking back up into the sky green smoke exhaling from his nostrils.

Looking back to the one called Eanah he grinned seeing the scepter and then cast a look to Kavanna, "I like your passion Eanah...there indeed will be six fewer shortly." It was unsure whom he was referring to but as his gaze turned back to the dragons in the air, seeing as one dove before sharply pulling up. Flapping his own wings as if agitated at standing there he opened his mouth, more green smoke spilling from his jaws.

"I will lure them closer....you best have good aim with that scepter of yours." The firani drakien stated as he took a few steps and lept into the air, bellowing a roar of challenge to the six before him, grinning all the while as he did so, gaining altitude although the six dragons seem to sweep down to answer his call. Opening his mouth wide he spewed forth green flames causing the gathered to split apart and then he choose one and harrowed in on it. He would drive it into the ground, drive it closer to the magic user and her pet. Then he shall see how the other dovaa responded.

Sorry for the long wait. T n T p

Kavanna was unsure that she believed the dark Drakein. But for the moment, she let the accusations that she proposed slide. She glanced up, there were six. Six Diabi dragons ready to sweep down and attempt to take out the four of them. Eanah seemed ready for a fight, as did the Drakein known as Discord. Kavanna was a bit weary of a fight with a Diabi. It had been the first time that she herself would have ever encountered one personally, let alone six.

As the one roared and began to fly in, Kavanna closed her eyes a moment and clenched her fists, mentally readying herself for the expected encounter. She quickly opened her eyes to notice the dragon stop and float just closer to them now; probably scouting out, giving a warning of sorts. A few more minutes and surely they would being their assault.

Kavanna was a bit shocked by Eanah and Discord's enthusiasm and confidence. That once shy girl that she met in the forest all those years ago was now this brilliantly sharp and battle-ready woman. Kavanna smirked, stretched out her own wings and nodded. "Yes, lets begin." she said, almost gaining confidence because of the other's. It was about to be the largest battle of her life. Before now, she had encountered four Gaili dragons, but never in her life had she ever expected to find six Diabi gathering together like this, much less begin to attack her. But she was ready, ready and willing to fight alongside these fearless allies.

With her outstretched wings, she gave a quick and powerful flap and lifted herself off the ground and back a few extra yards in the clearing where they all stood, looking up to view the six dragons above. Discord then began his ascent towards them. With almost a cruel smile, Kavanna conjured her two most powerful allies, her vines, and readied herself for an onslaught.

Discord had chosen one to fight, now it was her turn. His green flames drove two of the dragons apart, and they all began their descent towards the Magescian's. Kavanna had chosen one and crouched to pick up a few of the fallen leaves around her. Luckily they were in a forest, a Ysali's perfect battleground for mischief. Hardening the leaves and causing razor sharp edge on each one, she cast four leaves into the air towards her target, hoping to hit him at least once.

Normally, Eanah wasn't quite so rash or ready to kill without a plan in place, but the Blood Moon had her eager to attack. It was even beginning to affect the usually peaceful Thren. The drakein butted his head against Eanah's side, and at her nod he rose into the sky, bellowing once as he sped toward one of the scattered dragons.

The Oblivionite didn't hesitate. She raised her scepter soon after Kavanna sent her killer leaves at their foes, gathering the dark power of Soudul around her in a light-deadening swirl. She quite liked calling on fire when she fought, but with a Firani in close proximity and the Dovaa tossing around plant life, she felt the magic of her own people would be more appropriate today. With a sharp twist of her wrist, Eanah let her power fly, looking at the creatures above with a gaze made no less intense by her lack of eyes.

The bolt of power streaked toward the dragon Thren had marked and he turned away quickly, tucking his wings close to his sides and falling into a sharp dive. Eanah's magic exploded against the Diabi's side, and it let out a shriek that matched Thren's in pitch, but not intensity. A female. Strong, by the sound of her.

Once Eanah was sure her bonded was back on the ground, she cast another bolt, this one aimed at the creature's smooth, dark wing. The dragon swerved to one side to avoid the attack, dropping low enough to swipe an angry claw at the mage. Eanah darted out of the way, only barely dodging the strike. She looked to Discord and Kavanna to see if she could be of some assistance, but the attention she paid them was brief. Short of wounding their dragons further, there was little she could do to help them anyway. She was certainly no healer, and she had plenty to do on her own.

Dapyhir was having far too much fun with all of this, after all hunting normally didn't provide him with such pleasure, he enjoyed playing mind games far more, but with the blood moon's power coursing through him there was nothing more that he could want than to sink his teeth into flesh and taste blood. But that would have to wait. Instead he was driving the diabi dragon downwards, forcing it closer and closer to the ground. Claws outstretched he latched onto the back of the dragon and used himself as dead weight to practically crashland the dragon he was atop of.

Once on the earth he had to avoid snapping teeth and a lashing tail trying to dislodge him. Nimbly he managed to work his way around the body leaving many large bleeding gashes. Taking a sudden leap into the air the firani drakein used his wings to haul his large body into the air. Though he only used it for leverage purpose's only, as he then breathed fire down upon his opponent. The small cuts and scraps he experienced from minor nicks from claws hardly bothered him, it was the smell of blood that got his blood pumping. The scream of the dragon as it was burned was quite a wonderful sound, although in his smugness he didn't noticed a dragon coming up from behind him to grapple him.

A small roar of annoyance, his fire breath cut short before he could really burn the dragon before him to death, though it was surely suffering from third degree burns and would never survive healing from such wounds. Instead he was forced to bite at the clawing hands trying to wrap around him and prevent him from escape. The two bodies plummeted to the ground a ball of claws and teeth hissing and snapping at each other.

Smerdle
So sorry for the lateness of this. T n T DON'T HURT ME TOO BADLY!!!

The Dovaa's first attack was quite successful towards her target. The leaves sliced through quite nicely, forcing the dragon to bellow out in rage and pain. She kept an eye on her allies however. If any of them were hurt, she knew she would need to be the one to heal them. Neither of them could heal, so it was just as important for her to keep a good offense with a good, healing defense.

As her target raged forward, Kavanna used her whipping vines on the male Diabi dragon. Finally, a large crash occurred on the ground as the dragon landed, sending out dark energy straight for Kavanna. "Lufunay Maau!" she called out in the ancient tongue, causing the honeycomb shield to appear around her quickly. The dark energy raged over her on all sides and she could feel the power of it as she stayed within the shield. Though the shield wasn't just a protective barrier, once the attack was finished, she could blast it back with full strength.

The dark energy finally stopped, and the Dovaa gave a quick tap to the shield, which caused it to burst with dark energy straight back at her target. It was then that she noticed Dapyhir having some slight trouble with his dragon. She quickly picked up some leaves, sharpened them with her plant magic, and tossed them off with as much strength as she could muster towards the two dragons, only hoping that she could hit the Diabi in order to distract it from the Drakein so he could get away.

Turning her attention towards her own target, Kavanna began to encase the opponent in vines, wrapping him tightly to the ground. It used up quite a bit of her own energy to do so, but she was able to keep him wrapped tightly to the ground as she sent another flurry of razor sharp leaves towards the dragon.
