She’d had to bring with her a light cape for the Malro Desert. The place was like a wood burning oven and even her usual cape was too heavy for travelling in this heat. Xenosa also had to change out of her regular clothing because she’s sweat more in a single day then she ever had, dehydration was going to be a very real and very big problem for her if she didn’t fix it. As such, she’d opted for some very lose pants that tied a little under her knees, some shoes proper for desert traveling and a loose upper tunic that left her stomach and arms exposed.
Finding a Kiandri dragon was hard, not only did they have the advantage over anyone who was out looking for them in such a landscape, but they could also blend very well with sad landscape. It was no wonder that when Xenosa did find one, she had zero element of surprise. The only reason she’d been able to spot it was because it had raised its head at the sound of her thumping round in the desert. Now though, as she threw her knives towards the hostile dragon she missed, ducking just in time as a lightning went above her head.
Even her footing was off here. Xenosa cursed. The Orderite tried to get back up, tripping and then proceeding to rolling down a mount of sand. The dragon peered over the edge at her, hissed and left. Well then, that had been no good. She was going to need a better plan of attack if she wanted at least one kill from these. Maybe she should have gone to ask Daesat for some tips before leaving, oh well. Xenosa got back up to dust herself off of sand. It felt like she had some everywhere! But she wasn’t finished with that dragon yet.
