I know we have been doing MASSIVE renovations and my understanding is that Crystael had messaged you about what was going on. If that's not the case, I'm sorry, man! It's good to hear from you though.

I haven't sent out an official announcement because, as you may have noticed, we ended up kicking some 90% of members. What we're doing at the moment is performing an entire guild reset, clearing out all the old stuff and rebuilding from there. That's why almost everything is missing and/or being remade. (In the interest of easing your mind, since you were so active we have NOT trashed your threads for Meredy and Markus. They have been moved to the attic, and I would be more than happy to move them back out if you are interested in using the same characters when we open back up. All I'd ask is that you go through and advance them by a year. Of course, you're totally welcome to do new characters instead/as well, it's totally up to you.)

What we're doing in terms of guild canon is advancing the story to the beginning of the next school year. The guild event (Winter Ball) was SUPPOSED to progress to an attack on the school that erupted into full-on war (which I recall discussing with you at least to some small extent), but the guild really stagnated and we were worried we were losing active members. I realize a lot of us higher-ups didn't necessarily help that, but after speaking with the vices the course of action we ultimately decided to take was to semi-start over and do some heavy recruiting once we open back up.

I'm shooting to have everything up and running again by Saturday-ish. We've still got to figure out how to incorporate everything that happened "last year" into the reopened guild, and there are a few loose ends to tie up. It's going really well so far, though.

Let me know what you want to do with your characters, I can move them back into profiles for you to edit or trash them as you like.

Good to hear! I've moved Markus, Meredy, Millenius, and Stories of the Estate back to their proper subforums. Go ahead and make whatever edits you like and let the crew know when you're done so we can add you to rosters and dorm assignments.

That depends on who you're reading up on! Most old profiles have been moved to the crew zone or trashed, because they no longer go here. The stories mostly concern current students and staff, though:

The Lineage of Brightenvale is background racial information on Sherlock Holmes (Brightenvale prince) and another former student (British wizard prince/King).

The Tea Party concerns the Literature and Law professors, Mathieu and Dubhan, as well as their constant companions. Ariella and Mireille have both passed on and are no longer here.

The Firsthand Account is a work in progress that, admittedly, I've been slacking on. It stretches back to the EARLY early days of the Academy. The only current character carried on from the Account is Dubhan, no other characters had profiles.

Stories from the Estate is about Markus Cynder's personal background and more about the history of Millenius itself. Related reading: his fiancee Meredy's profile, as she will be joining us this year.

The Legend of the Moon is background information on the Night Fairy species. Our only night fairy right now is Maeza Lee.

The Rapture Dream is the personal history of the school nurse, Eleanor Lamb.

Unseelie Court Executioners is a topic I sorely need to delete now that we have the Compendium. It's background information on the dullahan race.

Shadowlurkers is historical background on the Shadowlurkers. Our only Lurker student right now is Thomas Markson. It also needs to be transported to the Compendium. Thanks for reminding me!

Anyone with a character in this guild can create a Story of the Past. If it relates to the history, creation, or attributes of a race, I ask you to please check out Mr. Mosconi's Compendium at the top of the subforum. We're working on collecting information about MANY fantasy races, and I'd love to keep adding to it so we have a working reference document.
