Opening match: Knight v AJ Warner

The warrior with the years-worth taste of blood still running through his mouth waited behind the curtain anxiously, as the lights shut off in the arena, surrounding it with pitch blackness. The opening guitar riffs to AJ's theme song began to play, and surprisingly or unsurprisingly, he got more of a balanced reaction. Perhaps it was Warner's animated desire to fight, or the Shooter's zero tolerance policy for sharing words. With the song made infamous from Fast Times at Ridgemont High blaring through the speakers, how fitting was it that Warner's agenda consisted of taking his opponent to school.

A thick blue spotlight had hit the center of the top of the ramp to reveal a pissed-off Canadian. A very, very pissed-off Canadian. The opportunity to compete with someone he hadn't before was exciting to the Suplex Shooter, but it didn't matter at this moment. Even through the blue light, AJ Warner was seeing red tonight. Tasting it, too. Warner looked back and fourth between the even more vocal crowd, and gave them less mind than he had before (assuming the possibility of that existed). After examining his audience, AJ looked down his sights and saw a man with a championship belt. Not necessarily his, but a win over a champion would still improve his growing resume. Warner began to walk down the ramp slowly, clenching his teeth so tight in his mouth that he thought they might crawl into his gums. His target was Knight. He may have not gotten anymore than the opening match for the time being, but this match would hopefully prove him, and his opponent, a much more worthy spot on the card.

"And his opponent, fighting out of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at two hundred twenty-eight pounds... A-JAAAAYYYY WARRRRNERRRRR!"

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, AJ didn't stop to observe the crowd any further. Warner turned his body to the right rather than the left and started circling the ring, keeping his eyes stuck on the champion. The Suplex Shooter was almost stalking his adversary; he needed to understand that every match AJ was in was taken as bitterly as the mutual fighter in them. Warner reached the announce tables, and eventually hopped onto the apron, still looking at his opponent. After throwing his towel to a random direction int he audience, AJ climbed into the ring by swinging his leg over the middle rope. No flashy taunts, just pure poker face to hide the storm brewing in AJ's head. The lights came back on, the music faded into absence, and the match was ready to begin.

AJ accepted the collar and elbow tieup, in fact it was one of his favorite, most classic ways to start a contest. However, Knight was an edge quicker in locking in the side headlock. Rather than pushing his opponent into the set of ropes, Warner would look to lift Knight up for a back suplex.

AJ turned around to his opponent after sensing him landing on his feet. He wanted to at least face the guy rather than get wrestled down or attack from behind. But the increment of time it took to turn and face Knight was enough for Knight's next move to more than likely connect.

AJ was bonked on his head and instantly sent back to the floor of the ring by Knight's crafty striking arsenal.

Knight was riling the crowd up, but AJ capitalized as he flipped Knight over with a T-Bone Suplex. AJ then went for a cover, but got a 2. AJ then rained down fists on Knight's head. AJ then hit a knee drop for a 2. AJ then picked Knight up and hit 3 Snap Suplexs in a row for 2 and the crowd gives "Eddie" chants. AJ taunts the crowd, which they start booing him. Knight then dropkicks AJ out of the ring. AJ gets up and Knight hits him with a Suicide Dive as the crowd goes wild. Knight pick him up and picks him back in the ring . Knight hits AJ with a Powerbomb for a 2. AJ takes back teh offense by poking Knight in the eye and hitting a Half Nelson Suplex. AJ goes for a cover, but gets a close 2 count. AJ then grabs Knight and puts him in a Half Boston Crab. The crowd cheers Knight on and he gets to the ropes. AJ picks him up and hauls him up for the Maple Leaf Murder, but Night reverses with a Small Package for 2. AJ takes him down with a Big Boot. AJ then goes up top, but Knight meets him there and hits a Superplex, which puts both men down. The two make it up at 7 and start trading blows. AJ wins the battle and whips Knight into the ropes. Knight ducks a clothesline from AJ and comes back with a Clothesline, followed by a Diving Shoulder Block, then a One-Handed Bulldog. Knights riles up the crowd and goes up top. Knight hits AJ with a Moonsault, but only gets a 2. AJ comes back and hits Knight with a Sleeper Suplex. AJ covers Knight, but Knight grabs the ropes at 2. Knight then gets back up and hits AJ with a Shining Wizard. Knight then goes up top once more and hits the End of Justice. Knight hooks the leg for a cover "1..2..3!" The bell rings and the crowd cheers as Knight gets his hand raised by the ref.
