Molly’s brows were furrowed a lot this tournament. Out of the rainy mud pits to the dunes now…still dirty as before, but she sorta dried off a bit…sorta. That was actually the least of her concerns right now as she stared at the dark foreboding sky, and then swayed with the heavy wind. Was it wise to summon her weapon? Would it just be like a giant lightning rod? Did she really have a choice? At the appearance of her opponent for this round, the Mist trainee turned and summoned her weapon, albeit hesitantly. She offered the girl a smile regardless, making sure to introduce herself. “H-hello!” She greeted warmly. “I hope you’re doing well today! My name is Molly, and it’s a pleasure to meet you! Good luck in our battle!” Once she seemed ready to go, Molly didn’t waste any time, and shot her monster lance out at the trainee, clipping her. HP: 50 / 50 DMG: 3GrnGriff Just hopping right to it! Hope that's okay <3

Sherry was looking at the sky, too. Yep. That storm was headed their way. With any luck, they wouldn't actually have to fight in it. Though she'd already been in a mudpit, so getting dirty wasn't an issue. So, she stepped onto the next field of battle a little sure, and a little hesitant. The smile from her opponent helped ease the tension, though. She looked like a nice girl...with a very large lance."I'm Sherry!" Her response was friendly, even as she summoned her own weapon, holding the glaive a little tighter than necessary. The smile on her face was genuine and friendly, if a little nervous. "Good to meet you, too, Molly! Luck to you, as well!" Sherry eyed Molly and her weapon, glad she wasn't fighting another gun, even if Molly's weapon clearly outreached her own. Still, Sherry liked to think she could handle fighting another pole-arm type weapon. Only one way to find out. When Molly attacked, Sherry did what she could to dodge, but she felt the weapon hit her shield. Her reaction was to follow the dodge up and step in, swinging with a counter attack. The blade connected and Armagnac crooned with glee. HP: 47/50 Damage: 6

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Sherry!” Molly seemed a bit more at ease, actually…Sherry seemed super nice, and she wasn’t ranting…off to a very good start! “I’m sorry we had to meet like this…!” Her smile was sheepish, and when Sherry had her weapon, Molly took a moment to look it over as well. Oh dear…that seemed like another potential lightning rod as well. She shot another glance at the clouds, hoping she wouldn’t see any lightning any time soon. Ah, focus! Molly made a small gasp as Sherry quickly countered her attack with a stronger one. Molly readied her weapon, and since her footing was more stable than before, her attack was more solid as well. She pulled her weapon back and then lunged at the trainee. HP: 44 / 50 DMG: 14

Sherry was still wearing her smile. She preferred friendly matches with friendly folks. Maybe when it was all said and done, Sherry could sit down with Molly over cocoa or coffee and have a friendly chat. Of course, they'd have to get through today first. Molly's second attack hit, and Sherry found herself a hair bit stunned. She'd not been hit that hard in a good long while. Her breath caught and she stumbled for half a moment. Luckily, some motions were nearly habit now, and as she began to center herself she was moving in for another follow-up swing. It felt like she'd landed a decent hit, considering everything. She was sill grinning, though. HP: 33/50 Damage: 6

Molly would whole heartedly agree with that friendly chat over cocoa or coffee after this fight. But she needed to keep her mind in the present! Molly didn’t bother trying to evade Sherry’s hit, nor did she try moving back either. With her weapon, it wasn’t ideal to try speedy and dodging maneuvers, and she still needed to be within range to make a hit, so more often than not, Molly just took to taking the brunt of damage while dealing her own. That behind said, she swung her weapon around in a sweep, looking to put a bit of distance between her and Sherry. HP: 38 / 50 DMG: 5

Molly's sweep did a decent job of forcing Sherry back. Farther than Sherry would have liked. She was used to close range fighting. She managed a quick retaliation swing, but it wasn't quite close enough to do any damage. "You're good," Sherry said. Her breathing was a bit heavier than normal, and she shifted on her feet, watching for her next opening. The smile never left her face. This was fun. HP: 28/50 Damage: 4

Molly breathed a silent breath of relief. While yes, she was a mid-range fighter, sometimes when others got too close, it made her antsy. Her weapon wasn't as effective when the opponents were close. Sherry's compliment though, served well to distract Molly, who flushed red at the compliment. "Th-thank you!" She chirped, and because she was distracted, barely managed to clip the girl. "You're really good too!" She cried back, and meant it, sincerely. HP: 34 / 50 DMG: 1

Sherry smiled again, and nodded her head in thanks. Yep. She decided she liked Molly, even if anything like a direct hit from the girl was enough to knock the wind out you. Luckily for Sherry, that hadn't happened during the last attack, and she still had her feet under her. So she shifted her weight and darted to the side, then in, hoping her low swing would connect and be a decent hit. HP: 27/50 Damage: 7

Spectating
It was really hard to determine who to cheer for because both Sherry and Molly were awesome cool people. So Stormy decided to adopt the cheer she gave for Evan.
"Let's go, ladies~!" Clap clap clapclapclap. "Kick some bu-utt~!" Clap clap clapclapclap.
In the immortal words of the little taco girl: why not both?

It was a wise move on Sherry's part. Molly wasn't prepared for that low hit and thus couldn't block it. She was struck in the leg and ended up going down into a kneel on her other knee making an "ack" sound as she did so. Note to self: be mindful of attacks on her legs! Molly wobbled back to her feet swaying a bit with her weapon and steadied herself. "Go-good one!" She complimented and then lunged at the girl and couldn't help but smile as Stormy encouraged them both. That was really nice of her! HP: 27 / 50 DMG: 8

[Spectator]
Nevada and Dakota were both there.
"YEAH, RUN HER OVER LIKE THE TRUCK YOU ARE MOLLYPOP." Dakota shouted.
Nevada on the other hand watch Sherry carefully, "You can do it Sherry!"
Because Nyx needs both of these girls to have support.

SPECTATOR
Chel didn't know Molly but holy s**t that girl was insane. Being able to wield a full lance that was a bajillion times her size? That was ******** insanity.
Unfortunately, she was here to cheer for Sherry. "KICK HER IN THE SHINS!" Chel shouted.
She was being helpful.

If Sherry'd been wondering where to go after her attack, Molly's attack told her. It was another decent his, and it nearly sent Sherry. She managed to fumble a bit, but stay on her feet, backing up even more. Too far for a decent attack on her part, anyway. A hand was raised and a small wave was given to the spectators. She would have spared them a nod and a 'Thanks!', but she had a feeling looking way was a bad idea. Still, she was glad they were there. HP: 19/50 Damage: 0

Molly startled at the sudden influx of spectators, and her eyes darted from Stormy, to Dakota, to Nevada, and then to Chel, before they settled back on her opponent. Woah. They were being watched. Molly shook her head a bit, as if to clear her thoughts, and tried to tune her focus back on the battle. It was very hard though. She swung her weapon at the girl again, clipping her.
