Lian had been playing the PS2 when ever he had the chance between lessons, eating and sleeping. Sciz had managed to drag him to a fun house like place which, while walking through the entrance nearly fell over from the optical illusion. While they had only had been in it for maybe half an hour he had managed to find the arcade section of it. Lian had begged Sciz for some money for tokens and he did manage to get ten dollars worth from him. Though if he wanted to play anymore his father had told him he would have to use his own money.
Lian found a game that looked intersting and put his tokens in and began to play. His tail swished behind him eagerly ignoring the the odd looks the other children where giving him.
"Of all the things you picked to play, Lian, It had to be video games." Sciz stat down with a huff on a near by bench keeping an eye on his charge. Though if he did loose him it'd be pretty easy to find a red and black child with a tail. Then again this was Gaia and not everyone looked like a 'normal' human. With that though he made his own tail twitch slighly.
"We're only staying here for an hour at the most." He called back into the mass of children.

Maji had dragged Laial to the fair in her never-ending social quest, although now that they were here it didn't seem that good of an idea. There were many rides she knew immediatly he couldn't go on, so she lead him to see the animals at the exhibit hall. Of course, Maji thought that was pretty boring normally, but with trying to stop Laial from squeezing them all to death, it turned out okay. Next, Maji stopped for some lunch and tried to prevent Laial from freaking out when he saw fish on the menu. It didn't work that well, but at least she was able to snatch two burgers before the fat chef threw them out after Laial asked if he was going to have a kid. That was just slightly embaressing.
They ate the meat and were in line for the fun house when Laial announced he was thristy. Sighing, Maji told Laial to STAY IN LINE while she gets some drinks.
Needless to say, by the time Maji got back, Laial was out of there. He grinned at his luck as he wandered over to the arcade he saw on the way here. It looked like fun, more fun than the fat old man who sold dead fish. Laial shuddered. How could people do such a thing? He wandered over to a boy about his age with fur and a floofy tail and watched him play the game.

Sciz had noticed the other 'corp child wander into the crowd and weasel his way over to Lian. "Well thats rare" He muttered to himself as he looked around for his guardian.
"I almost had it that time." Lian leaned back away from the machine and dove his hand into his pant's pocket fisshing out some tokens. Well that is he was till he noticed another animal kid standing next to him had been watching him play or well he assumed that the grey skined child had been watching him, Lians eyes were pretty much glued to the screen just a few minutes earlier.
"Oh hey, you're different from everyone else like me. You from the D place too?" Lian was actually wondering how the other boy could even walk with the shell but better then to aska bout something like that after being kicked out of a restraunt before. Actually he kind of reminded him of an monster that Keanu had told him about a while back when he was at the playground.

Laial stuck his toungue out at the adult before the adult went away. He turned his attention back to the floofly kid. "Uh-huh," he muttered, suddenly slightly distracted by this GIANT MACHINE right ahead of him. His tentecles immediatly swarmed over the surface of the machine and touched all the places on it he could reach. "Wha' is it?" he asked the floofly kid in an awed tone. He had never seen something this big! Other than the tv at home and that evil fat man he met earlier, but those didn't count.
Meanwhile, Maji was sitting on a bench near where Laial had been in line; sipping her drink. It's not that she was a bad paren by any means, but she knew he could protect himself pretty well from most things. Besides, he has grey skin, tentecles, and a giant shell. How hard could it be to find him? Besides, she hadn't had anything else to drink today, and was feeling slightly dizzy.

Lian stepped to the side letting the Nautilus kid get a chance at the game. "Its a video game, ever play one before?" He grinned, some one was finally interested in video games or atleast though they were neat. "They usually don't come with TV's attached to them but thats what this is." He pointed at the joystick and the buttons on it. "You use those to move the pictures on the screen."
"I'll be right back." He called half heartedly into the mass of children. Lian probably wouldn't have heard him any ways even if he was right next to them. Sciz pushed his way through the crowds to bur himself a soda to drink while waiting for Lian's attention span to run out. "Tch I hate little kids." He almost pushed a kid out of the way if he had not seen the mother staring him down at the last moment. "how did I ever manage to have to watch over one." he grumbled.

"Nuh-uh," Laial replied, still staring at the GIANT MACHINE that loomed above him. He finally wrapped a tentecle around the joystick and pushed it to the left.
Nothing happened.
He tried to the right.
Nothing happened again.
Laial glared at the machine, offended. Why wasn't it working?! He tried hitting buttons, only to find THEY didn't work either. He slapped the machine on the side with a tentecle out of frustration, only to get more frustrated when it hurt him, not the machine. "WHY ISIN'T THIS WORKING?!?!" he shouted, sounding very much like Zim. It never occured to him that you needed to put money in the machine.
Maji got up and streched, finally finished with her drink. "Well," she muttered, "best get started." She looked around to see a person stomp off from the general direction of the arcade. Well, he was as good as any to ask. "Excuse me, sir," she started, sounding neither friendly nor cold, neither shy nor brave.

"Oh right, I forgot." Lian's and dove back into his pant's pocket and pulled out a couple of golden tokens that had that bit of grim on them from constant handling. "You use these, tokens, to pay for the games. Some of them let you keep playing till you lose." He smiled and thrusted his hand towards the other boy with his palm open and the tokens slightly shining in the dim lighting.
"What!?" His responce probably sounded a little more sharp then he had wanted it to. He was best describe as another one of those cat people on Gaia by his appearance though his intesting tattooed arms did make hims stand out a bit. Sciz had relaxed a bit. "Err what do you want?" He idlely drank from the cup.

"Oooh." The coins were so shiny... No! Do not let the shiny-ness control you! Laial coughed slightly before forcing a token into the slot.
Instantly, the screen lit up. Laial jerked his tentecles away out of surprise and hid them in his shell. as a reaction of defense, leaving only his legs and arms with hands out. "What's with that thing?!"
Maji held back a glare with difficulty. Making sure her hat and gloves were securly on, she cooly replied, "I'm looking for a kid, about-" she motioned between her waist and her hip, "-this tall."

Lian couldn't help but laugh at the other boy's reaction. "Its just letting you know you paid for the game. press the one player button" *he pointed it out. "then read the instructions and play the game. You should try easy first."
His ears went flat to either side of his head. "Lady have you noticed how many kids there are that match that discription. What does the kid look like." Sciz looked her over and wondered why she was so anxious about her hat and glooves.

"Oh." Well, how was he supposed to know that? This was the first time he had seen one of these things! He squinted at the screen and highlighted 'Easy', then pressed the green button.
It took all of Maji's self-control to keep her from hissing at him. Instead, she took at deep breath and clenched her teeth. "I wasn't quite done yet. He has grey skin, tentecles, and a giant shell. Now does he sound familiar?" Well, he would either think she was mad or have seen him.
It always ended with her seething in social situations with men, didn't it?

Lian watched from the side and figeted everytime something was done the way he would do it. "No you should get that. You should get the bonus it really helps." He really was a backseat gamer.
He would have smirked but knew better then to push it any further. He raised his eyebrows at the discription of the boy she was looking for. "Actually he's over there in the arcade talking to my son." He pointed in the arcades direction.

Laial found he didn't really mind the floofly kid giving him advise. To be honest, he needed it a lot of the time. This was his first video-game, after all! And that fact showed itself quite well. "Gah! Where's the attack button! NO! Don't go that way!" were just some examples.
"Good." So he wouldn't think she was crazy, after all. She started walking towards the arcade, trying to decide what kind of punishment Laial deserved. He did need punishment for doing something that stupid.

He continued giving pointers while Laial played. Lian looked up for a moment and had noticed Sciz was where he was sitting before. He turned to look for him when he noticed Sciz walking with a lady he''d never seen before. "Why Sciz is walking over her with a hat, is that your mum?" He pointed over at them.
Sciz had seen Lian look over at them and then talk to Laial. "Oh I they're not planing to run.." He took a ssip from the soda he had bought.

Laial hit the 'pause' button to look over at where the floofly kid was pointing. His eyes widened as he started to regocnize the woman. "Eep! Hide me!" he quickly mutter-shouted as he hid behind the video game machine. His actions pretty much spoke for themselves.
Maji looked over at where the catman was looking, only to see a floofly kid looking at her standing next to... "Mortal Kombat?" Not exactly what she would deem 'child apporpriate'...but it sure was fun. She could attest to that. "Know him?"

"Ah okay." He grinned. Lian stood infront of the machine and kept playing for Laial, acting like nothing was wrong as the two adults approached.
"Him? Oh the red and black one is my adoptive son. D-corp made me take care of him." Sciz gestered with his cup at Lian. "Wheres did the other kid go that was here with you?"
