Roll a Seven: Forest Field: Thick trees, some small while others greatly exceed double your own height, sprout at random places throughout the field. Giant roots provide easy excuses for pokemon to trip if they do not watch where they are going. Spacing between the trunks vary, making passage difficult for those on the ground and in the air. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to BUG and GRASS type attacks. This field also reduces damage from FLYING type attacks by 25 HP.

Lenore walked into the stadium, her attention firmly on the book in her hands. Elesh Norn steered the girl away from a box she nearly walked into before floating down to the stadium below.

Cara walked in with Spirit zipping back and forth around her head, looking around the arena. Cara couldn't help but grin at the adamant and curious nature of her Vibrava. The two quickly made their way to their proper places ready to fight. They were practicing to be ready to go on an even tougher journey than any they had gone on before.
((I cant help but wonder why the coding buttons aren't showing up for me in the guild reply pages but they are in the forum reply pages....so weird))

"Let's start things off with Fury Cutter!" Cara called out to Spirit. The Vibrava called back an affirmative and rushed for Elesh. Her wings and legs started to glow as she zipped around trees and then struck at the Darkrai, swiping with precise aim.

Spirit fell back with the hit as ice coated her delicate wings. She recovered quickly though and shook off the ice crystals and went in for another attack. A beam of light started emanating from Spirit's chest. The beam then shot out from her and right at Elesh.

The beam slammed into Elesh Norn, knocking her into a tree. The blizzard continued, whipping the branches of the trees this way and that.

Spirit is once more blasted by the icy cold storm but manages to battle back. She charges up the beam and fires again at the legendary dark type. She was not going to just lay down and lose because of a little snow and wind.

The Vibrava fell back, feeling more of the ice and snow dig into her. She fought it off and shook away the cold again though, refusing to give in. She struck back at Elesh, vibrating her wings and causing a wind full of silver, powdery scales to rise into the air. She then flapped her wings at a super high rate of speed and sent the attack rushing straight for her opponent.

The darkrai had just peeled herself off of the tree as she was sent spiraling toward the wall, slamming hard as the blizzard died down.

Spirit crumples to the ground, shaking and cold. The blizzard swirling around her has sapped most of her strength but she has one last move left in her. She manages to gather her strength, shake off the ice from her delicate wings and fly up while gathering as much energy as possible into the center of her body. She then shot the beam off like a rocket at Elesh in an attack.

Elesh Norn was slammed back into the wall, and darkness swirled over the forest before dropping down over the entire field.
Elesh Norn floated up to Lenore, who was still reading, and gently guided her out of the stadium.

((sorry for the super late reply, yesterday got....impossible plus I felt like crap and today was....looooong day ><; *notices something*...and I still don't have guild post format buttons back...))
Spirit watched as the darkness fell upon her and the field. She could do nothing but brace herself for the attack.
Cara winced as the attack hit and as the darkness faded, she saw her sweet Vibrava unconscious on the field. She had done her best and battled her heart out. Cara called back Spirit and praised her for a good fight. "You did a great job Spirit, you're getting better and better with everything you do." She then waved to her opponent and raced off to the nearest Pokemon Center to have Spirit healed.
