Despite getting runestones from Taym, Rep was acutely aware that there was a distinct lack of them in and around the island of late. This meant it was probably beneficial to exploit said resource as much as possible. Besides, it got him out of the way, and out of the hoard where he'd been hiding away.
Tracey enjoyed swimming as much as he did anyway, so it was of dual function, he just hoped it wasn't too horrible on the way down, given the lack of a shield of late.
Mercifully, he went unmolested on the way down to the caves, despite his earring glowing like a beacon the entire time.

Swimming through the caverns was relatively uneventful until he found himself hassled by some very rude seaweed.
