Grrel was out on yet another hunt for Orbs. She wanted to test herself more and more! Pity the fights always ended up scarring her beautiful scales. But it would be worth it! Once she felt strong enough, she was going to find Rhaze or Anodyne and do that ritual! Her tail lashed eagerly. The power she'd get would definitely help her make her tribe safer and perhaps give her a way to figure out how to destroy those bonds! Winging across the desert in search of her Kiandri prey, she enjoyed the hot beatings of the sun upon her back and the warm drafts of wind rising from the hot sands below. The desert was so much better than the damp Ayr or the green Serenia! Give her the open desert any day! She spotted a flash of gold and banked quickly, twisting her long neck to get a better look. Bright gold and vivid blue stood out like a sore thumb against the brown desert: she'd found her prey! Covering her self in an armor of lightning, she dived downwards to attack the prey.
But Grrel, in her eagerness, hadn't spotted the other large shapes lying nearby in some tall dune's shadows... All she saw was a single Kiandri dragon begging to be killed.

Dapyhir had been out on the hunt with a very similar singular drive as another drakien nearby. He needed orbs, he craved them and with it being the month of the blood moon he felt a singular desire to maul anything in his path. Luckily he could suppress such urges otherwise he wouldn't off been able to spot and not want to kill the drakien he had just spotted. Observing he noticed the it was intent on hunting a kiandri, though it was hardly alone. Any excuse to sink his teeth into flesh sounded like a good idea and thus he circled back in the air to land behind the drakien. "I wouldn't do that if I were you." He called out a bit of smugness in his tone.

This wasn't where he should be at the moment, he should go back to Aisko to fight the dragons there, but at the same time he wanted to wait in Eowyn for Eyphah to get back. His teacher had left not long ago on an important journey, dragging all of his orbs along with him, determined to return home a Drakeinian... and Tallulah knew he could only wait and hope for the best. It was the sitting around that was killing him though. He felt like he should be doing... something, anything really. It was because of that desire that he'd decided that he would go on a walk, telling the leader of the clan he was staying with where he was going before hand.
It was a quiet enough day, one that had him feeling quite peaceful... though he wondered if that was a good thing or not. Any time things got too quiet he started to suspect that something was up. The Merkein was trotting along when he heard a strange voice calling out, a smug one that reminded him a lot of the Diabi. He looked from side to side, "Eh? Excuse me?" He murmured before realizing the voice likely wasn't talking to him. Still, he couldn't help but to be curious about said voice, wondering who it was that he was talking to and what that person shouldn't be doing. Not to mention the voice was one that was so like Eyphah that he wanted to get a peek, to see if it was another Diabi.
Turning away from the path he was walking he moved to move instead toward the voice, sure that he could get a peek before being on his way. Nothing else was going on in the direction he'd been going so he might as well see what was going on over there.

Grrel, already launching herself into battle, was not prepared for the warning called out to her. Flicking a disdainful eye at the Drakein who'd spoken, she lashed a tail in irritation. How she hated being watched while she fought! And what idiot spoke to someone who was obviously attacking?
She ignored his warning and finished her charge, landing in a flare of sparks and splatter of blood. Biting down at the surprised dragon, she loosed a huge bolt at the same time, hitting it hard in the neck with magic and teeth. As the Dragon gasped its final breath, Grrel turned around and growled up at the Drakein she saw. "Why shouldn't I have--" she stopped speaking and looked at the just waking and angry Kiandri's she'd just now noticed. "Ah... that would be why." Staring at them, she lashed her tail eagerly, "Well, I wanted a battle ... why not more of them?" She hissed with a bloodthirsty grin. Her blood was up and pumping; one kill had only whetted her appetite, sure there were a lot of them.. but she felt that she could take them on!

The firani drakien only looked more smug, though he had to admire somewhat the others tenacity when it came to her hunt. Though he turned his head as he spotted another drakien although this one was much different than he had seen in a long time. Hmm... "You there...perhaps we should have a spot of fun." He called out to Tallulah as he then launched himself forward to 'aid' in the fight Grell was immersed in. Wings were tight against his side as he lunged forward, green smoke billowed from his nostrils as he inhaled a moment and then sent out a blast of fire at a kiandri dragon that was trying to get in a bite against the other drakien. Weither he was trying to play the 'dashing prince' it was soon evident he was only enjoying the bloodshed against an enemy. Claws raking against hide, teeth snapping at exposed and vunerable areas.

Tallulah looked between the two Drakein as they chatted, finding that the male really did remind of Eyphah... but he wasn't a Diabi, he couldn't be, not with the ability to breath fire like that. He must be Firani... but one about the female? that was the question. He turned his attention to her, watching her closely. He wasn't quite sure but she seemed to be quite a formidable one, wasn't she? The way that she took down one of those dragons so quickly and efficiently, she was quite impressive, wasn't she?
He turned to look toward the other dragons, wondering for a moment if he should get involved since it was obvious neither of these Drakein were Diabi or likely related to Eyphah. It was a question that was answered for him though when the Firani called him out, talking about how he should have a 'spot of fun' before entering the fray. It would seem that even if he wasn't Diabi he was rather like Eyphah, wasn't he? Odd. Giving a shake of his head the Merkein hurried forward to enter the battle too. Best that he help out where he could! Besides, if he slacked off while Eyphah was away he was more then certain that his teacher would be disappointed in him. Best that he try to keep up with his training and his battles.
The Merkein did what he did best, that being taking advantage of weak spots when it came to battling dragons. He lacked wings so he had to be certain to get the drop on his opponents... and the moment he could snapped his strong jaws down on the throat of a Kiandri dragon he did so. Once the battle was over he would see about claiming some of the orbs for himself and see if he couldn't talk to the two Drakein, see if either of them were part of Eyphah's clan.

Grrel was too busy biting one Dragon's neck and doing her best to dodge it's claws to take too much time to notice the others joining. But she did manage to get a glimpse of an oddly shaped Drakein as it joined it. Well, at least I'll have a better chance at killing all of these today! Glad of the help. Grrel gathered her magic and let it loose in an explosive ball of flashing growling lightning. She loved the sound it made when it was cast! Something about the sounds and lights... also being surrounded by an ever-growing ball of lightning was just too much fun!
The ball of lighting was large enough to cover her entirely as long as she didn't extend her wings. Pity that this isn't as effective against Kiandri's.. of well. I'll have to try this spell against other types soon! And show Toki.. He'd be impressed! She'd finally managed to create her own spell~
Snarling happily as the Dragon whose neck she was biting finally died from suffocating and her magic, Grrel lashed her tail and turned to attack another dragon...

In the heat of the battle there were a few key things that would stick with the dragon as a pleasurable memory. The smell of blood and charred flesh...and the screams of the dragons as he sank his teeth into its throat. Under normal circumstances the firani dragon didn't enjoy straight out blood shed, he far more enjoyed playing with his chosen victims until he had managed to form them into a quivering mass of paranoia or had him begging to end it. But with the blood moon in full power, even this cruel 'gentleman' found it hard to resist the urge to brutally kill things. The dragon he fought was bleeding from many wounds situated around its flank as he would try to trip up the dragon and drag it to the ground much like how large predatory cats may with their prey. If the dragon tried to swivel its head to take a bite at him it was met with a face full of fire. Causing many shrieks of surprise and pain as he managed to drag the creature to the ground. The firani dragon would then pounce ripping apart its wings so escape was impossible. Some drakein's would grant mercy to their prey by this point, but the firani seemed to be taking far too much pleasure in the fact it was killing it slowly. In fact he didn't even bother to finish it off but took a large chunk out of its flesh...close to where a major artery was and left it to slowly die due to bleeding out. Leaping away he scanned the area noting that the female was of lightning breed and the little male...well wasn't he just interesting. His blood smeared muzzle lifted into the air to catch the scent of another kiandri dragon getting awefully close but he quickly turned, although not quite fast enough to avoid the snap of teeth onto his shoulder. But claws quickly latched themselves onto the dragon throat and ripped downwards. Once the dragon released its grip Dapyhir was quick to sneak his muzzle up and under the exposed throat where teeth quickly sank into the flesh there.

Tallulah took a step back, watching the manner in which the darker colored Drakein fought, taking down the poor dragon in a rather gruesome manner, and he couldn't help but to comment, "Wow, you really remind me of my teacher... you're definitely not a Diabi though, right? I mean I've never seen him use fire before... but then again I don't think I have ever seen him use magic at all before." Not once that he could recall, Eyphah had always seemed as though he much preferred to use his teeth and claws to fight his battles instead of wielding magic. It made him wonder if maybe he was just wrong about Diabi and they too breathed fired... so maybe this guy was Diabi... he sure acted like one.
Turning his attention to another of the dragons he realized that their numbers were dwindling, probably a good thing, he would much rather end the battle swiftly and gather orbs after all. Orbs were the most important thing after all and he wouldn't become a powerful Merkeinian without them... not to mention that if he didn't have a lot of them when Eyphah returned that his teacher was likely to yell at him. Shaking his head to clear that thought he charged forward toward the next dragon, wanting to finish it off as swiftly as he had the first one. He wasn't like his teacher or this creepy new guy, he wasn't interested in gruesome kills, he was instead all for a swift, merciful kill, it was better in his mind and it got him his orbs more quickly.
Glancing toward the Kiandri he couldn't help but to be curious about her approach, it seemed mostly magic based, which was interesting to him. How he'd love to be doing the same... a shame it was so hard for him to cast his spells in the middle of the sands of Eowyn's deserts he thought to himself as he turned back to his own fight, pouncing the nearest dragon, teeth sinking into it's neck before using his momentum and his weight to snap the dragon's neck. He landed gracefully despite his lack of wings, and turned to watch the dragon break apart, leaving behind more orbs for them. How wonderful! Just look at them all! Eyphah was sure to be proud!

Somehow Grrel managed to get on a dragon's back and grabbed it's neck in her jaws. Biting down she shook the neck like a toy and raked with her claws on the neck and shoulders beneath her. She heard the neck snap and felt a shudder go through the dragon as it died. Jumping off as it disintegrated, Grrel looked about to see that the others had already taken care of all the other dragons but one had been killed or were dying. She grinned as she saw how the black firani had ripped out the throat of one and left it there to die. Someone's got a cruel streak in them! She walked over and gave it a mercy blow before gathering her magic for a simple yet loud lightning bolt to launch at the last of the dragons. "One left! Who wants it?" She called out as she grinned. She knew her bolt wouldn't do a lot of damage since they were both Kiadri's. but it was impressive and she had to use her powers to strength them so why not? words: 776/1500 jayoku not sure I ever quoted you for a tag on this one!

Looking over his shoulder he gave a smug grin wondering for a moment whom the younger one must be comparing him to. It sounded like it was a diabi drakein but...he only knew of one and surely there was no way this younger one was being taught by the likes of... him. Could he? About to ask the younger and interesting drakein the question on the top of his tongue the female spoke up. His head looked over noting that...they were the only ones left besides one of the kiandri dragons. "I insist that you take it down. Such beauties such as yourself ...I'd love to watch your technique." Dapyhir spoke giving the female a wink before moving over to stand beside Tallulah. Licking the blood off his lips as he looked over to notice him eyeing the orbs. Giving a grin he rolled his neck allowing his spine to align. "Yes they are glorious arn't they? A fine collection for any drakein to be proud of. Your teacher you mentioned...would be proud of you yes?" Word count: 828/1500
