With everything that had happened lately Ainsley had found her life spiraling into chaos. With some many changing factors around her, feeling the consistency in her role as Hypnos brought some sense of relief to the teenager. She powered up in the park near her house and then she began to walk around with a plan in mind. It had been awhile since she last seen the youma that was changing her life, and she worried. How could she help him get food if she was unable to contact or find him? Would he die? Would he give into his hunger and kill someone? She would have to try harder. She needed to try harder for both Bazzite and the people of Destiny City.
Hypnos tried to push all of her insecurities and fears that had been haunting her lately aside so that she could try and find a power signal that radiated the same way Bazzite's did. There was no real way to be sure but if she could find something that felt similiar then eventually if she kept finding things that felt that way then she would find him, right? She hoped so! Hypnos closed her eyes gently and concentrated. Somewhere out there in the darkness of Destiny City was a youma and eventually that youma would have to be Bazzite, right? It was worth a shot.
With the distraction in her mind and unable to clear it out, Hypnos was having no luck finding any power signatures. The senshi of sleep was unable to tell whether or not she was concentrating enough or if there simply wasn't anything nearby for her to sense. If she was unlucky enough she could go all night without anything crossing her path and it seemed that even as she move a lot to make up for the fact she was only one senshi in a large city she was still having no luck.
Approximately an hour passed by before Hypnos finally sighed, sitting down on a nearby bench with depleted resources and hopes. It had been one hour and she had run into nothing. There was no Bazzite, no youma, no order signature, no chaos signature... nothing! Sure, she didn't want to run into any Negaverse Officers after the encounters she had recently but it just felt eerie that the city seemed to calm. She had passed a few civilians but nothing with any sort of power signature seemed to be around tonight.
Was this how it was going to be now? Hypnos tried not to think like that but she was frustrated. She felt like she wasn't making any progress with anything! How could she help everyone when she couldn't even do something like this? How could she help anyone when she couldn't even help herself? She didn't want to give in and go home but at the same time she was getting no where. Hung head and heavy heart, Hypnos powered down into Ainsley and returned home.
Tomorrow. Tomorrow had to be a better day.
