Name: Dimitri Gikas

Nickname: Dimi, Four-eyes.

Age: 20

Birthday: 2nd February

Sign: Aquarius

Gemstone: Aquamarine

Blood Type: A

Fav. Food: Cabbage and beans

Hated Food: Porridge

School: Sovereign Heights Prep School

Hobbies:

Physics
Dimitri just loves physics. It's his thing, his area of expertise. It's his 'major' and is the focus of his prep school years, until he takes the plunge into university. Without a doubt he will mention it in conversation sooner or later and there's a high likelihood that he'll make a physics joke only he will chuckle at. Dimi just likes knowing how things work. He likes knowing there are set rules in place that can't be broken... or so he thinks.

Chess
Vice-captain of the local Chess Club, Dimitri loves that age-old game of pawns, white knights and black queens. He does make an effort to always play on the white side, imagining himself as the grand commander of an army, sent to wipe the world of evil. But for the most part, he just really enjoys sitting with friends, pitting his mind against there's and sending his troops down the most logical course. Winning is all about thinking ahead, he always says.

Multi-shipping
Dimitri watches a lot of shows in his spare time, and while that is a particular hobby of his, his biggest hobby is 'multi-shipping'. He will happily pair characters from here there and everywhere up, posting his thoughts on his own Tumblr. Thor and Harry Potter are currently his favorite pairing and he has been trying to convince his online friends to write fanfiction for him. He'd do it himself, but creative writing was never his strong point.

Virtues:

Dedicated
When Dimitri finds something important in his life or just something he loves, he is the most loyal, dedicated guy around. From an early age he knew he loved physics and he has studied it endlessly ever since. There is little anyone can do to change his mind about something once he'd made a decision on how he feels (unless some really good facts are presented). He is a man capable of great devotion.

White Knight
So he's kinda spindly and nerdy and he can't 'sport' to save himself, but Dimitri is a fighter for justice, a defender of the innocent, a white knight of truth! If someone is being bullied in the corner, he won't walk past. He'll stand a confront evil when he sees it. If a little old lady needs help crossing the road, he'll be there to hold her hand. Dimitri likes to do good things and he has always lived with the ideal of being a 'white knight' for all. He believes that as long as you try hard to do the best for everyone, you'll always be content with in yourself. Of course, Dimi is and always will be a logical guy and he won't put his life on the line. In really serious situations, he'll stand back, yell a bit and call the police.

Logical
"There is a logical explanation for this." - The universe has rules that it has to abide by and Dimitri is well-versed in them. The world around him is always logical. There is an explanation to everything. Dimitri is good at putting his great mind to work and will reason in a clear, consistent manner until the cows come home. He's a thinker that relies on facts and wont deal in conjecture.

Flaws:

Insecure
While he often comes across as nerdy-confident, Dimitri, like many others, is really quite insecure. He is very aware of his shortcomings. He knows he's not the handsome football player with heaps of friends and a gorgeous girlfriend. In fact, he's fairly sure he'll die a virgin and he'll certainly never find a life partner. No matter how smart he is, Dimitri worries that it's not enough. This insecurity feeds his anxieties and causes him to worry endlessly about the smallest things.

Know-It-All
And you're all sitting around having a great time, talking about something highly interesting when the guy at the next table leans over and says, "actually that's incorrect. The hyena does not just scavenge, it is quite a prolific hunter and it is the lion that steals most of their kills". Thank you for that pointless piece of information, you reply. Yes, Dimitri will correct you if you have one small fact wrong. He thinks he's doing you a favour and doesn't realize how annoying it can be.

Prone to Theatrics
'It's the end of the world, my psych paper is due tomorrow and I've only done twelve pages! I'm never going to get into college this way! I'm a disgrace! A failure!" - Yes, he is that guy who overreacts to everything. If something goes even slightly wrong, he will have a panic attack. His penchant for making every little thing into a huge drama is not appreciated by his family, who mostly ignore him when he gets into a tizzy.

Currently just a civ; so this is one day, hopefully!

Knight Title: Erechtheion Page

Challenge: 'I'll count you out!'

Uniform:

Main Colour: #342D7E or any Mercury colour that doesn't clash with his hair too much.

Top -- The top would look much like a chlamys but edged with white fur.
Bottoms Pants. CC as to style.
Gloves -- CC
Belt -- CC
Shoes -- CC
Shoulders -- CC
Accessories -- CC

I'm really happy with most of his clothing design being up to the colourist.

Weapon

Abacus [plain wooden, can be simplified from picture to have less bars/beads]
Abacus [shiny silver] - Erechtheion can increase or decrease the strength of one target, depending on how he moves the abacus beads. [The effect lasts for 30 seconds. He can not use it on the same person again for two minutes and must wait until the 30 seconds runs out on his current target before choosing a new one. His magic pool lasts for one minute, so that he can use his powers 2 times before he runs out of juice.]
Abacus [shiny gold and fancy] - Erechtheion can increase or decrease the strength of two targets depending on how he moves the abacus beads. The effect is also stronger than his last stage. [Lasts for 30 seconds each time. He can not use it on the same person/people again for one minute and must wait out the 30 seconds before he can choose another two targets. His magic pool lasts for one minute, so that he can use his powers 2 times before he runs out of juice.]

Summon: A white goat that is really just the normal size of any old goat. It does however have an impressive pair of horns and is not shy about using them. It's also fast and very nimble, leaping about the battlefield and attacking anyone or anything thing Erechtheion directs it at.

I just want to say that I'm ecstatic that he's a Mercury Page with an abacus! I'm also just ecstatic that he's a Mercury Page, because there aren't enough of those.

Hi Ruridarlin~

Civilian Side to start:

Hobbies look great!

Virtues

White Knight - For the most part, this virtue is fine! I'm just curious with just how far Dimitri is really willing to go in order to be the knight in shining armour? Is he willing to put his life on the line if he saw someone getting robbed or attacked?

Flaws

Look good to me!

-----

Powered:

Yay Mercury Knights! I love the idea of the Abacus and I think the attack depending on how he moves the beads is a really great idea. The only concern I have with the magic is that Knights have a magic 'pool', which is different than Senshi. So for his Squire and Knight stages, we'll have to work on adjusting that! He should be able to channel his magic for example 1 minute, in whatever intervals he wants (2 bursts of 30 seconds, 1 long burst, etc)~

I'm really really bad at explaining things, so I'm going to copy/paste from the Knight Info thread since Mouse articulated it perfectly:

Knight magic is CHANNELED and COSTS ENERGY. Instead of time and usage limits like senshi attacks had, you can think of Knights as having a limited pool of energy to draw their magic from. A more powerful effect is going to take more energy and more concentration, and a proficient Knight is one who knows when to conserve their energy and when to use it.

As such, Knight magic has USAGE LIMITS: You should note a total amount of time that magic can be channeled for. If the effect is a quick stun or something else lasts a very short amount of time (ten seconds or less) when applied to a target, then you should note the total number of uses in the attack description.

Like Negaverse weapons, Knight weapons get ONE EXTRA EFFECT PER STAGE. At the third stage you can choose to give a big boost in power to the magic the weapon possesses at Squire stage, OR you can add an entirely new one. You also have a bigger energy pool as you level up, so your magic will become slightly more powerful in general with each stage.

Hopefully that helps! <3<3

Quote me with changes and we'll go from there~

Sy! <3

Actually, you explained the power thing really well because I was a bit derp when I read the info in the Knight section the first time. xD

Anyway, civilian side first!
White Knight! The way I see it, he's not an idiot. So he'll step in if someone is being bullied or a girl in a bar is being hassled, but of course, if there's a weapon or something really serious going on, he'll probably do the logical thing and call the police, then wait around at a safe distance. Maybe he'd be all 'OI, YOU OVER THERE, I'M CALLING THE POLICE'.
If I ever got him to a powered character that would change slightly because he'd feel like he suddenly has the authority to deal with those sorts of situations. I've added this info to his virtue. <3

Woah okay, powered. So I've added a magic pool of 1 minute, so that he can use his power 4 times before running out, however he can't use it on the same person for 2 minutes in his squire stage! Does that work?

Oh and btw, I've noticed on a few page quests, they mention summons? I don't think I saw info on that on the knight page and I was just curious.

Thanking you! <3

I just realised there's actually a 'Knights: Things to Keep in Mind' info thread in this forum and I feel like an idiot. xD

'Locations on Earth should probably be mostly reserved for Knights of Earth...'

... since Erechtheion is a temple on earth and he's a Mercury knight, is that okay? Although, you didn't mention it before, so I guess so? >o

Sorry for all the quotes! >o<

I realized the changes I made before had him using his magic all willy-nilly even as a squire, so I've added a few more changes:

Quote:
Squire: Erechtheion can increase or decrease the strength of one target, depending on how he moves the abacus beads. [The effect lasts for 30 seconds. He can not use it on the same person again for two minutes and must wait until the 30 seconds runs out on his current target before choosing a new one. His magic pool lasts for one minute, so that he can use his powers 2 times before he runs out of juice.

Edit: Found the summon info and added one!

Everything looks good to me! It's okay that his Wonder is a temple on Earth and he's a Mercury Knight, no worries. Thank you for clarifying his Virtue and I think his attacks are fleshed out much better now!<3

As for his Summon, that won't come into play until he is third stage and goes through his 'quest' to find one at his Wonder. I believe that also needs to be posted for/approved by GMs here! unless of course the GM that stamps you after I'm done here will do it!

So besides his Summon (which I have no authority to approve/deny), everything is fantastic!

Hey, Ruriska! Congratulation on the win! I'll try to make this quick so you can get to playing Dimitri ASAP! Right now the civilian is totally stampable but I want to go over something with the powered character.

The attacks are very close to being stampable, but there were a few things I wanted to go over with! First, because he is a knight of Mercury the attacks need to utilize the Mercury power themes (technology/intelligence)—and I just wanted to check with you on what you were envisioning for this! Improving brute strength seems like it might befit another planet's power theme more—unless you were willing to elaborate on how the Mercury magic could be utilized to give this effect! (Like, maybe the magic is a mental stimulator that allows them to access untapped energy/strength or limit it and could then increase/decrease the amount of strength they have through those means? )

Secondly, when upgrading from one attack to another, typically only two aspects are allowed to upgrade (such as time limit, number of targets and effect). Because of this, I think you need to pick any two upgrade of the three you have, though I also have to mention that two minutes is pretty strong for a knight attack, so I would also suggest toning it down to a minute and a half! (Sorry, and I hope this isn't too much trouble ;; )

Other than those things, he looks great! I love his weapon and I think he will be a great character to interact with! If you have any questions or make any changes, please feel free to quote me (or shoot me a PM if you'd like for me to go into things!)

Hello and thanks! <3

Okat, let's start with Mercury/powers. Okay so, I didn't see it as improving brute strength as much as, uh... messing with stats. Since he can decrease or increase, it's more to do with how to work things to his advantage and play with battle stats, calculating when and how to use it. Essentially recoding them for 30 seconds! He won't always be using it to bulk himself up, but rather helping allies or weakening the enemy. (Or, you know, whatever you said! xD A mental stimulator also fits the idea.)

Did I make any sense then and did I miss the mark there? ;o;

And I changed his Knight power to last as long as his squire attack. So it now only has the added effect and added strength in that stage. Does that work?

Aaah, I hope this is okay. <3

Oh, I like the idea of recoding! Thanks so much for the clarification; I think that's really neat! That in mind, I think it makes for a really unique, logical Mercury power--and everything else looks fabulous to me (including his summon!)

Going to drop off a stamp now, so enjoy playing Dimitri and good luck winning a powered slot!
