Name: Rosie

Nicknames: ...Rosie, Roz

Breed: Norwegian Forest Cat

Attached to: None

Alignment: Senshi

Blood Type: Type A

Fav. Food: Hot dogs rolled in dirt.

Hated Food: Nothing she's tried yet.

Hobbies:

Paranormal Phenomena: Rosie is incredibly interested in stories of ghosts, demons, yokai, and other Earth tales of the paranormal and spooky. Often if there's a so-called 'haunted house' or reports of a crop circle or an alien sighting, she'll be there with wide, fascinated eyes. Why wouldn't a Mauvian believe in aliens, anyway? She loves to poke her nose into such mysteries and has a great love of the unexplained and unexplainable.

Going for Walks: Rosie is inquisitive and friendly and so likes to run around outside on her own quite a lot. She is the type of cat who doesn't mind walking down the sidewalks in the middle of town being social and staring at people in the hopes that she'll get food out of them. She's also a fan of new and interesting places. Travelling is an interest of hers, but she doesn't want to wander too far from Destiny City - there's just too much to do and see there for now! Besides, there's an awful lot going on...

Chasing Things: This does not always go well for her. Really, chasing literally anything. Anything that runs away, chasing it. Squirrels. Sticks. Small children that scream. Cars - they just run away more commonly! However, this will usually dump her somewhere she is not familiar with, not that that bothers her in particular. See hobby #1.

Going to the Beach: This includes swimming, sunning, and chasing little things that run around in the sand. Rosie likes the hustle and bustle of being around people, and is also quite fond of hot, sunny days. She doesn't mind the water as much as cats stereotypically tend to, though she doesn't exactly go trudging off into the ocean.

Virtues:

Dauntless - Rosie is very seldom frightened or cowed by anything that confronts her. She's the type of cat that stalks down eagles without thinking about reprisal. Aggressive, fearless, and curious to a fault, she's not afraid to walk into situations that most other cats would shy away from.

Personable: - Rosie's very social for a cat. She's inquisitive and friendly, often wandering right up to strangers to see what they're all about. When little kids come over to yank on her fur, tail, and ears, she doesn't tend to mind, happily playing with them for a goodly amount of time. She's naturally curious and quite friendly....in situations where she knows what's going on. (See flaw below!)

Cheerful: - Far from the standoffish, apathetic image of the typical cat, Rosie always seems to be happy, active, and boisterous. She's rarely in a bad mood, and oftentimes is quite cheery, even around a certain Sailor Grumpy-Pants.

Flaws:

Overly Aggressive/Poor Impulse Control: Rosie is terribly friendly, it's true, but she's quick to turn into murder cat should the opportunity arise. At the slightest provocation, accidental or otherwise, she becomes a whirling mass of teeth, claws, and frizzed up fur that is more than ready and willing to shred the tender skin of her victims into ribbons. It doesn't take much; even an imagined slight or an accidental step on her tail is enough to warrant immediate, violent reprisal. The only exception is with small children, who she tends to be more affable and forgiving towards.

Clingy: Rosie doesn't like being alone. She'll stay around someone until they literally drive her away. She has a very hard time knowing when she's annoying people - or, maybe she simply doesn't care? Rosie is constantly underfoot, wherever and however she can be.

Dumb as a Bag of Hammers: Rosie's not exactly the brightest crayon in the box. Sure, she's bright and talkative and charismatic, but she in no way displays the cunning and grace of the typical representative of the Mauvian or feline race. She knows things, but constantly displays a complete and utter lack of common sense.

Other Notes:

'Pretends' she's a dog.: Yes, she's a cat. But she actually...thinks she's a dog. There's no telling what this neurosis stems from, but it explains a lot of her behavior. This includes such traits as having a very bark-ish meow, playing fetch, begging inelegantly for food, and scrabbling on linoleum floors like a greased monkey.

Doesn't play well with other....cats: Rosie hates other cats. It's not that she's territorial. It's that she literally despises other cats, and will go out of her way to scare/challenge them off. Other Guardian cats she treats with standoffish, wary mistrust, but she far prefers the company of humans - or dogs.

Challenge: Woof! Woof woof woof!

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : CAT FORM

Face/Ears: Fluffy and disheveled with bright, inquisitive, but somewhat feral eyes. Her fur is black and white; her face black with a white stripe over her muzzle and a stripe that goes up her forehead. Ears pure black. Black nose.

Body: Adult female cat. Average sized.

Fur: Fur is black and white. Underbelly is completely white from the chin on down, as are the paws, with a single white 'saddle' stripe over her upper back (From shoulder to shoulder, not like a skunk). The tip of her tail is also white. Her star is orange.

Eyes: Bright orange.

Accessories: Rosie wears a black collar with silver spikes, and quite proudly at that.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION : HUMAN FORM

Eyes: Orange, wide but more 'genki' than 'innocent.'

Hair: Black with white bangs that frame her face. Layered, messy, and flippy, bangs are chin length, black hair is shoulder length.

Face: Relatively round and cute, but not so much as to be childish.

Clothes: Billowy orange gown with three large black stars over the bodice. Slashed 'dress' portion, with tan leggings underneath. Bare feet, a few bangly anklets and bracelets.

This isn't a full crit by any means, someone else will be by eventually to look at the personality and give a full crit but I wanted to drop by and point out two quick things.

Firstly, it is not possible for an Order (senshi) aligned cat to be attached to a Chaos (DMC) senshi. It just suspends belief too much that the two living together or being so connected wouldn't end up with the cat knowing Celemorrow's identity and the ability to know cross faction identities are not something we allow. Rosie would either have to be a corrupted cat with alliegence to the Negaverse, be attached to an Order character, or be attached to no one at all.

Secondly, cats are required to have a sort of whimsical or fantasy related outfit, so a dress and khakis probably won't work. I'm sure the artist can work with you to take your idea and make it something that will work however, so I just wanted to point it out so that you knew ahead of time. :3

Thanks! I'll polish it up right now!

Edit:
OK, I was acting under the assumption that we were either Order-Senshi or Chaos-Negaverse. Would a cat even be able to 'attach' to a Dark Mirror Court Senshi, then, since they're not Negaverse? How would be a good way to go about it?

(Also, 'Khaki' was meant to be more of a color reference than a style, but I'll clarify for sure. 3nodding )

Cats work sort of like this:

Order cats are the guardians of senshi. They're real job is to help guide (good) senshi and help them grow. However there is nothing that stops them from working with knights (who are also order characters). In the end their final alliegence should be with senshi and if made to choose they should side with senshi over knights, but 90% of the time they aren't going to be asked to choose.

Chaos cats are cats that have been corrupted by the Negaverse. They're job is to help guide/power up the Negaverse corrupted senshi. However they often help out the DMC in powering up their senshi as well. In the end their final alliegence should be with the Negaverse and if made to choose they should side with the Negaverse over DMC (aka, if the cat did something traitorous towards the Negaverse in favor of the DMC they likely would be captured and punished or disposed of) but that doesn't mean they can't work with DMC characters or even live with them.

There are currently not DMC cats, nor any plans for there ever to be any specifically for that faction, so if they want to work with cats they're pretty much forced to befriend Negaverse cats.

I hope that helps!

Awww, okay, I see. xd In that case, I'll make her an Order cat who is unattached. She's chaotic enough on her own without being Negaverse on top of everything else. sweatdrop

Thank you so much for your help, I really appreciate it!

Hi Nacchan~ Let's get Rosie all stamped and ready to go!

HOBBIES:

I think these are mostly good - however, I'm not quite sure "Pretending to be a dog" is quite a hobby, as written. It seems mostly like a personality quirk, like her not really liking other cats! It doesn't quite fit into any of the sections on our profile, I don't think - so you can probably tuck it into an "other" section after all the necessary profile info :3

Other than that, I think she's great, so quote me if you've got questiions or once you've made changes and I'll be back to give her another look!

Hi, Kitsune! Thank you so much for spending the time to look her over! I've tweaked her hobbies, moving the doggy weirdness to a special note and adding another one that I'd been thinking about in relation to her anyway. Please let me know what you think, and thank you again! xd

I just have one quickie question before this can be fully stamped and you're good to play her!

You mention that she can very easily be provoked into violence, but you also note in her personable trait that she's like.. perfectly fine with kids pulling her tail and stuff. What kind of situations would bring out her aggressive traits?

Good question! biggrin

The sorts of situations that would turn Rosie aggressive would be the minute she began seeing something as an actual threat. Little kids pulling on her tail are just being kids, but some guy walking down the street that kicks her as he walks by is going to get claws and teeth in his leg. Really, if Rosie can tell (and account for the fact) that it wasn't meant to happen it should be fine, but once something is identified as a confrontation, it's a confrontation. Is that a better explanation? o.o

Hmmm.. that makes sense, but it doesn't really sound like a flaw anymore when put that way. People don't generally look down on someone for standing up for themselves and as a Guardian it's kind of her job to fight.

Maybe if it's not just confrontations and it's any intentional 'wrong doer' that she over reacts too and deals out justice for it might still work. You know.. a litter bug gets a ankle full of claws

It doesn't have to be that way, but it does need to be fleshed out a little more as a flaw (aka, something other people might not like her for).

Gotcha. Duly noted! I've modified it to make her more dangerous in terms of impulse control and the extent to which she considers things to be threats. How does that look? 3nodding

Looks great, thanks!

Rosie is APPROVED. Feel free to set up a journal and start playing her.
