"I wonder if these statistics are even relevant..." A despondent cat girl sighed as she scrolled through the rows on her tablet, trying to make use of the seemingly random data she had collected so far and not seeming to care even a little she was gushing energy like a waterfall.

She had been fishing like this for a few weeks now, with mixed results. While Zia didn't normally like to power up, she needed more data and the best way to attract subjects was with the energy her cat-girl self leaked. Even if it did also bring the occasional spear throwing hazard.

"Anything kickin' tonight?" She asked herself, yellow eyes focused on the screen while her ears swiveled in all directions.

An energy signature, but not just any - strange, unfamiliar, and quite powerful. It did not feel overtly hostile, but Asclepius was curious, and had to find out whether this new player she had not yet felt was an ally or an adversary.

At least the strength of it made it easy to track.

She stopped a ways back when she got close, near enough to see the stranger but hopefully with enough distance to dodge whatever this person could throw at her if necessary.

"Hey, who are you?" the Senshi of Medicine called out, not wanting to beat around the bush about it.

Zia was taking a break from looking at rows of data to check her nails when someone called out to her.

She jumped, tail fur standing on end while her ears perked right back up before she turned to look at the senshi calling out to her. "Who am I? Who are you! I think I'm quite obviously a cat."

She jumped up and starting walking towards Asclepius to close the distance between them, looking absolutely pleased. "Well you'ren ot a knight or a nega, but you're still a pretty nice fish. Hi! I'm Zeeeeeeirconia," Oh god that was going to take some getting used to. She was so used to just using her name and not Zirc's it was a little rusty there with introductions.

When the cat jumped, Asclepius held her hands up, showing her palms in hopes of indicating that she was not planning to be hostile. Or... she figured her energy signature should indicate at least that she was White Moon, though the stranger before her was neither order nor chaos.

"Zirconia?" the Senshi of Medicine repeated, venturing a few steps closer. She wondered why the long vowel, but was willing to forgive some oddness in speaking knowing that most cats did not speak at all.

"Which would you prefer to find? Knight or nega?" The cat's words themselves were strange, as well, but then the whole situation she now lived - being a superhero by night after having been awakened as such by a talking cat - made Asclepius inclined to forgive quite a bit of weirdness, too.

"Right, yeah," She said with a nod before bursting out into laughter. "No, not really, but I'm going to have to get used to the alias I guess. Ha, I tried."

She powered down into Zia, figuring an order aligned senshi wasn't going to do much for her slip, but she got some practice in.

She moved her phone screen between her fingers and rolled on her heels. "Either or, really. Though, knights tend to be more pleasant. There are some pleasant negaversers, but most are rather tetchy about silly little things. The problem is, they're a lot more difficult to index."

"Zia!?" Asclepius boggled. She knew that her powered allies and adversaries could be people she saw every day without realizing it. Like Evie. But somehow she thought the cats would be different. "But how--?"

She half-considered powering down herself, to show Zia her own true identity. But then the purple-haired lady let on that she apparently got along with Negaversers, and became reluctant. The energy signature had not been distinctly that of Order, and, disappointed, the Senshi of Medicine elected to err on the side of caution.

"I know you," she settled for, eyeing her old friend. Apparently more than she knew had changed since the last time she had seen her. Or ... for all she knew, Zia could have been a cat - somehow - all along.

As for the task at hand, however, "Wait, indexing? Like you're trying to get a list of all the Knights and all the Negaverse soldiers?" Asclepius rubbed one eye with one finger, trying to wrap her head around everything.

Zia rolled her shoulders, not too worried about the being recognized bit. "Lot's of people know me, I'm very popular," She flounced and flipped a few stray ringlets from her pony tail back.

"It's a long complicated story, but it's whatever. Mirror souls and junk, and yes! My index!" She wiggled her phone between them with both hands. "Did you know knights and the Negaverse are an anomaly specific to this universe?! I mean Chaos exists everywhere, but not in these forms, it's amazing! I'm trying to catalog every single one of them to gain a better understanding of how they work and why they're even here. Especially knights, because of their planetary alignments, but the Negaverse officers are just knight aligned to Chaos instead of a planet so recently I realized it was a fatal flaw to not include them."

Asclepius' brows drew together and she frowned, but was not sure how to respond to Zia. She could not fault her for keeping a secret identity secret, but the brown-haired girl still wished she had known sooner. It was also just more than a little overwhelming to find out yet another one of her old friends was more than she thought.

Just as well that Evie was not on the side of the Negaverse, but she could not be so sure about Zia just yet.

And so she found difficulty taking as much joy in Zia's work as the other girl herself did. But Asclepius also could not deny that it was interesting.

"What... what planet would a Negaverser be aligned to if we purified them?" Asclepius had questions, for sure, she just had to remember them all.

Zia was a lot more mouthy than the proper prep student who once upon a time only let her manners slip when she was desperately hungry. That and she didn't seem to give one single ******** about the suspicious senshi side eying her and claiming to know her.

She seemed more interested in checking her dramatic eyeshadow to make sue it was not flaking or smearing.

"You're very on the ball, aren't you? You haven't even introduced yourself yet," She stated as she opened a compact and made faces in the mirror at different angles until she was satisfied.

"So you're lucky I enjoy sharing what I've done so far. That's a good question! I theorize that they were always meant for a planet, but did not make their proper connections to the proper power sources when they were force awakened by Chaos before their appropriate time. All knights so far are reincarnations of a past knight or a descendent of a family line passing the title along, and if it is logical that all Negaverse officers are knights, then upon purification their proper names and identities should be revealed. As it stands, the mineral names they go by are not their proper titles, but aliases from the organization. They do not remember who they are or who they were."

She dramatically snapped the compact shut and grinned at Asclepius. "So who are you? Or did the energy signature put you off? Clearly I trust you enough to power down to my civilian disguise."

Asclepius flushed slightly, but tried not to betray her embarrassment otherwise. The cat-- her friend did have a point, trusting her.

"Sailor Asclepius, Senshi of Medicine" she replied, then added, "Sorry. The unfamiliar energy signature did throw me off." She was curious to know more about her old friend's secret identity, but then thought it perhaps an inappropriate time to ask. Especially given her poor introduction.

"That's sad that they don't remember, though." Technically neither did she, yet, but it seemed that she at least had the chance of gradual revelation.

"But I guess that's good, that even the agents have an uncorrupted side, and one that would be willing to help us," she went on, putting a finger to her lips as she thought about it. "I know about their senshi, and I was hoping to figure out a way to cure them of their darkness."

"It's Black Kingdom. Mirrorwalker bullshittery," Zia explained with a shrug and didn't elaborate on her own too much further than that. Asclepius' mention of searching for a cure drew her interest much more.

She didn't think it was possible, but the effort being made here was interesting.

"Really? Do you even know how their darkness works? It's not really--... well I guess it is kind of an infection..." Her brow knitted as she pondered this. "You need a lot of power to switch their plug from one light socket to the other. And the Dark Mirror's aren't actually whole in the first place so they're totally a lost cause. How uh... how were you planning to do that?"

Asclepius was not sure she had heard anything about a 'black kingdom' specifically, but for now she did not ask for clarification. She was more interested in sharing information on the topic at hand.

"I don't really know much about how the darkness works yet," she conceded. "I've tried studying in the sort of high school chemistry ways I'm familiar with, but the only thing's that's really given me is that it doesn't work in the ways our current science quite knows how to deal with." The senshi frowned, recalling her frustrations. "Most recently, I've been asking around to see what everyone else knows, and also trying to find anything helpful on my home planet."

She glanced to Zia and crossed her arms before going on. "I haven't even really looked much into the Dark Mirror thing yet, but I figure I'll try to solve one problem a time. Apparently a princess on our side does have the power to change someone, though, or so I heard." After a moment, Asclepius added for clarification, "From an agent who wanted to have it done to him, actually."

"Oh, well, settle on in," Zia cackled, hearing that the senshi, while out trying to do a good dead, was doing so with no informational basis. Her internal monologue stroked her own ego with how fortunate this wandering senshi was to come upon a being of cosmic power intended to be an information hub.

Know-it-all Zia time. Which was Zia's absolute favorite time.

"It's kind of like an infectious disease, but it starts out like a source of power, see. When you power up into a senshi, you're calling on the power of your homeworld. You're plugging in like a charging cord to an outlet. Chaos means you unplug from everything natural about your power source to plug into a different generator."

There was a bit of a snort. "Most princesses should have an adequate amount of power to purify. I mean it's all just a power game. You need a lot of it to reconnect broken connections, especially to one's star."

The agent bit made her twitch. Was there that much discontent in the Negaverse, or...?

"Oh. He's not a blonde captain, is he?" She seemed to have shut down the haughty, know it all persona real quick as she tried to mentally soothe herself into avoiding jumping to conclusions.

Or shrieking loud enough to summon Realgar so she could scream at him about his terrible secret keeping.

Brown curls bobbed slightly as Asclepius nodded, taking the information in. Then she closed her eyes for a moment, concentrating on her inner ... self. The Asclepius part. Her connection to her hospital rock, the power she called on when she henshined, it had all grown more and more natural to her the more she did it. It was certainly worlds (ha) easier now than before she had become a Super Senshi. But she had never thought to examine her own link of power.

And perhaps, when Realgar purified, if he purified, she could try to ask him what it was like to draw upon his own power before the change. If he would recall such a thing.

"Blonde captain?" Asclepius repeated, also now wondering if Zia knew of Realgar's intent. Or if there was another blonde captain out there who had similar plans. "He is. It seems like something he really should keep secret, though." Her brows furrowed momentarily with worry. "I can't imagine his current allies would permit him to do so."

She was quiet a moment, then added, "I guess that's part of why I want to see if there's any way I can help him, myself. If he's going to do it, I feel like it should be soon, before the Negaverse has a chance to find out and do something about it."

"Yes, well," Zia's smile became strained and she grabbed her sweater sleeves in her hands and twisted as if she were imagining poor Realgar's neck in her grasp.

There were other blonde captains out there. Surely.

"That's probably why, whoever he is, he shouldn't advertise is," She said with a laugh that didn't even try to cover up how fake it was.

"Anyway, it's been a point of interest of mine for a while now, but I've never thought of it from a curative viewpoint. How would one go about healing a starseed anyway?"
