Jason could see Sayaka was just as hesitant as he was to compete, though he wasn't sure if that made him feel better or worse. "I'm g-glad to be fighting with you too!" He replied, then realized 'wait that might not be appropriate to say'. He didn't have to to dwell on this as Bix had begun giving them last minute instructions, and they had to move out. At least he wasn't about to pass out with fear, that was always good, right? Upon reaching their destination, The moon intermediate turned to his opponent. "I-I wish you luck in the-" He tried to say, before his foot stepped forward into the thick mud, and in a matter of seconds Jason had vanished. The only trace was a bunch of bubbles that popped on the surface. A few moments passed before a giant mass of muddy hunter stepped up, and hearing something about him having to go first, simply stabbed a muddy looking metal sword at his opponent (and hoping he didn't actually hurt her) HP: 50 Damage: 5

Saya was not ashamed to say that she wanted to throw the fight.
Mainly because mud on uniforms was so hard to wash off. Even she was partly conscientious of that fact, folding her uniform somewhere on the sidelines before entering the fray. She saw Jason disappear in the mudpit, wincing.
That was going to be her fate as well. She was almost fearful-- yet they fought in worse places, right? Like deserts and fierce oceans..
"Jason, that's going to be heard to wash off." Her long face, probably debating over how many wash cycles and bleach he would have to go through. Unfortunately, that remark left her with a late defense towards Jason's strike.
"Trivial worries usually do that sort of damage to you." Prompto quipped in the background.
HP: 45/50
Damage: 2d10 - 6 = 2 damage

Oh yes, Jason was very familiar with trying to get mud off his uniform. He was having flashbacks about the time Ariane lobbed mud-balls at him. He was going to be trying for weeks. But at the very least, it proved to be a nice shield for damage. If only in his mind. "I know..." The mud monster said sadly as he aimed a bit more carefully this time, still being mindful of what he was doing and not wanting to hurt her. Meanwhile, Zanth was having a party in his head, and trying to convince Jason that he really needed to see his opponent covered in mud. And without her top on. He then plunged his sword into the mud. He had never been happier to he hear his weapon indignant cry. HP: 48 Damage: 4 Random Artist IT'S ALL GOOD DUN WORRY ABOUT IT <33

Saya wondered why a mudpit of all places, thinking that it made attacking rather difficult. She aimed an arrow at Jason, trying not to aim for vital spots.
It sort of fell off his sword.
HP: 41/50
Damage: 2d10 - 6 = 1 damage

It was nice to see Saya had someone cheering for her, but it didn't make Jason feel any better when he deflected her attack, mud flying everywhere as he stepped closer to slash at her right side. Maybe if he just stood there and let her hit him... HP: 47 Damage: 5

Saya winced, the attack delving rather sharply. Luckily, fear shields were great but she heard Promptos wince too. She simple defended, to little success. hp: 22 Damage: 0 poke mattix if we dont end this in time, saya should just give up ok

For once, Jason was on the defensive as he held his sword up to keep the arrows at bay, a few getting past and nicking his side and shoulders. He almost congratulated her. Almost. HP: 38 Damage: 2

'Get her feet wet', the Moon leader had said. She had apparently deserved it. Charlotte had been quietly lurking around the spectated training battles - she had gotten lost after Sam stalked off to place bets - and ended up -
- wait she knew that face! That was Saya! She beamed, took a step-
- and her white Fendi boots sloshed in mud. Was this what Edith meant by 'getting the feet wet'? Well if Edith said so, then she wouldn't cry. Instead, she tried to give Saya her most encouraging smile as her feet were now very wet. It was very miserable and not encouraging at all.

Saya was about to call out in an urgent tone not to come close and then--then--
...Saya was torn. It was all her fault, those expensive and gorgeous boots, her face dropped. It was the biggest and saddest regret of her life. Promptos, her bow sword, was nearly dropped, it was a good thing he wasn't because he didn't appreciate mud.
"Um-- Charlotte, I'm going to just keep fighting for a moment but step out slowly ok, we can fix this! My jacket's over there, you can sit on it and I'm sure this will be finished in a moment!"
With Saya firmly on the losing side, probably.
But at the moment, Charlotte was the one who lost the biggest battle.
Saya's suddenly successful hit was probably for the shoes.
