 Nessie hid into Vanhi's leg, trembling. The sky above rumbled violently, lightening flashing as the kit seemed absolutely terrified. She was going to meet family she never knew before, and she was scared. Even if Kali was there, she was terrified! What if her other mom hated her? What if her curse hurt her other mother? She was lucky Vanhi was immune, but she had heard Vanhi wasn't immune to other mothers curse. Did that mean her other mother might not be immune to Nessie? What if Nessie was so scared she made a storm? She was trying so hard to control the weather as it was!
She was far too stressed. She couldn't control her tremors as she hid into Vanhi, wings fluttering wildly and ears pinned back. Gingerly, she raised her head to look at her taller mother, whimpering gently. "M-mama." She whispered gently, pressing further into her glowing mother. Her own markings glowed brightly, pulsing as her heart hammered. "W-what if she hates me?"
 Hecate had her own mother to rely on. Well, honestly? Pandora had forced her way into the meeting, she wanted to see the grandbabies that Hecate had tried to hide from her! So, here she was, nervously padding to not only see her best friend but also two kits she hadn't planned, and was terrified of.
It wasn't that she hated her kids, or hated Vanhi, or even hated the idea of kids. She just... hadn't been prepared. She had been scared. Love was a myth to her, and she had ran. Now? Now her heart ached. She knew her children existed, and she wanted to see them. She wanted to see their faces and lick their cheeks. She wanted to patch her friendship with Vanhi. She.... she wanted to be there for her kids. Her biological father had been absent in her life, and it had left a mark. She didn't want to be like her father. She didn't want to be the monster.
And, she missed Vanhi. Also, a curious part of her wanted to see what her babies looked like. Did they look like her? Like Vanhi? Like Pandora? What were her babies like?
They turned the corner, and Hecate saw Vanhi and a trembling ball by the glowing woman's feet. She hadn't quite registered the rest, or where her son was, or if there was more people around. Currently, she was focused solely on Vanhi.
"V-Vanhi."
 Pandora wasn't coming any closer. She stopped when Hecate did, and she promised herself not to leap at the children. They were beautiful, and she was so damn proud. So proud of the grandchildren before her. So proud of her beautiful daughter, Hecate. She was amazed, and honored that despite her curse she had such a beautiful family.
But, she couldn't approach. She had no doubt the girl would be immune, he already could see the shadows on the kit. Just like Hecate! But she didn't know about the boy, and she knew Vanhi would be a victim if she came too close. So, the grandmother waited, giving silent support to her daughter, who was trembling almost as hard as the tiny kit by Vanhi's feet.

 Vanhi walked out looking and exuding confidence because all she needed to do was make Kali or Nessie nervous, even though inside she was a mess as well. After all she wasn’t like her older brothers where they made friends from practically bowl stage. She hadn’t gotten any friends until she was fully grown. Sure she was rather sickly when she was a kit, having her healing powers over whelming her but she had always been really jealous.
So she had been happy when Hecate had been her friend, that she could make them made the world to her. However then she had been gifted with bowls and Hecate had fled. She was sure her friend was just scared and that was the reason why, but somewhere deep down the insecure side that hadn’t left from her kit days wondered if maybe it was something that Vanhi herself had done. However it didn’t matter now. She had managed to set this meeting up and to let Kali and Nessie see their other family. Kali had briefly mentioned he had met Apollo but it would still be good to see other members of the family.
She let a smile cross her features as she looked down at her daughter. “Nessie, no one could hate you. You’re my most precious little curious girl” she said moving to nuzzle the top of her daughter’s head. “and Hecate wont hate you either, I promise. Besides you know that Kali and I am here and Grandpa is going to come over later too.
Vanhi looked up again at the sound of her name and took a deep breath making sure to still seem very confident for Nessie and smiled at her best friend. After all if she expected Nessie to give it a try she had to as well.
“Hello Hecate”
 Kali had been lagging behind having his own nerves to deal with after all he was using his own magic to help with the storms. Only problem was he noticed Nessie delt more with rain where he had wind and he was very nervous himself so trying to stop the storm of the century from happening was very taxing. Maybe he should have pushed for Grandpa Yun to be here. He hadn’t seen any one so strong in weather magic before then again Grandpa Yun was a Kirin.
He knew that one of Nessie’s fears was always that their other mother would hate her, but Nessie was very pretty and she looked almost normal. Kali on the other hand was on fire on top of being able to be untouched as well. He had gotten a locket so that other people could touch him for part of the day but his features were so different from his parents that he was afraid he was going to be shunned.
“I could always come out you know” a voice in his head replied. He shook it embers sparking everywhere as he willed his other self-down. He wanted to meet his family first and not behind a looking glass. He could handle this right? Even if his mom hated him he still had mommy and all his relatives over there. They all loved him and Grandma Cadence was going out of her way to find things so that she could hug him. Apollo had been okay with him, and even gave him advice about liking boys. So wouldn’t he have warned him if Mother and anyone else was going to hate him?
He quickly caught up and walked over to Nessie nuzzling her cheek as well trying to offer as much comfort as he could,

Nessie pressed into her brother when he nuzzled her cheek, deciding to rely on big brother for now. Her tiny form curled against him, trembling like a leaf in the wind as the strange woman spoke to her mother. Was she shadow mommy? Was she the other mommy? She.... had fire on her. Like Kali! Tiny little paws tapped Kali's side, curious eyes flicking up to view his.
"She has flames like you, Kali." She whispered, tail wagging just a fraction.
Meanwhile, Hecate was viewing her children with interest. Those were her kids? Those beautiful little kids? Hecate nearly cringed when Vanhi said her name, ears flicking back. Did her best friend hate her now? Her head turned to look at Pandora, receiving a reassuring nod before she viewed the glowing woman, heart pounding harder than it ever had before.
"H-hey. So. How have you been? Are those....."
Are those what? Her kids? How was she supposed to approach this? She couldn't very well snatch them into a hug, right? Not after it had been so long.... but it would be a lie if she tried to deny that she wanted to come closer. She just.... wanted to be close. To hold them. To hold Van- No. She needed to stop that. It frightened her beyond belief to think that she had a.... family? Kids? They were hers, and she had ran out.
Just like her dad had.
She froze, red eyes flickering before she jerked her head away, suddenly ashamed of herself. Just like Scorch had. She had ran out. She had abandoned her kids. Yet, unlike him she hadn't kidnapped one later. She hadn't hurt them. But, she had hurt Vanhi, hadn't she?
Her best friend. She had abandoned Vanhi to be with two bowls, and now what? Why was she here? To expect forgiveness? To be a mother? Was she even ready to be a mom? Did she even know how? How did Hecate feel? Afraid, yes, but what else? What else did she feel under that fear? Dammit... why couldn't she just understand this?!

Kali looked over at the two women in front of him obviously part of his family considering that one was all covered in the fear aura that Kali had on his face, and the other had similar markings to the one that Nessie had. “She has your pretty swirls too Nessie” he pointed out smiling that Nessie was feeling happier if her tail was any indication.
Kali hesitantly lifted up a paw before waving at everyone.
Vanhi let out a warm smile having heard Kali and Nessie, happy that they were at least a touch less nervous. She felt proud that Kali was standing up and being someone that Nessie could lean on. She always felt glad that Bolero, while a pain of the butt tried to be there for her. While she figured out what to feel about her best friend in front of her she trusted Kali to make sure that Nessie would be alright.
“Been doing….” Vanhi trailed off and tilted her head to the side. A lot had happened over the space that Hecate had last seen her. Vanhi trying to raise the two bowls on her own and then when her job and their powers got to be more than she could handle she had gotten scolded by her family, but she hadn’t wanted them to blame Hecate at all. Luckily her dad and grandfather where pretty strong magic users “I’ve been doing good. How has life been on your side?”
It was weak she knew but they had to start somewhere right. Vanhi could do this. “Yes this is Anesidora although everyone calls her Nessie and this is Kali. They’re” she paused here again about to say my. However it wasn’t true and Hecate was here now so that had to mean something right. “They’re our children”
It looked like Hecate was still battling with something however she had come back so vanhi would see how this would play out even if Hecate didn’t want to be her friend anymore Vanhi wouldn’t just deny Hecate a connection with her children if that is what she wanted. Yami and Tempo had raised her to be much better than that.
“Yes she does have the same flames as Kali, although it would more be that Kali gets his flame’s from her.” She reached down and scooped them up, they were almost getting to big for her to do this but she still could, before kissing the top of their heads carefully in Kali’s case and earning at least a giggle from her son.
“You know if you want to say Hi, I promise she won’t bite neither will your um… grandmother?” Vanhi pointed out pretty sure that was who the other lady was.
Kali turned back to Nessie and made sure she was okay with mommy before taking a deep breath and walking forward a little bit. “Hi there…. Mom, and um Grandmother? I’m Kali like mommy said
