It wasn't that unusual that mommy would be taking them somewhere, in fact it was very likely that she would take them everywhere she went, perhaps so they didn't have a lot of influence from their Uncle Jac, but who really knew. Apparently today Keilana had decided to take her boys to visit her best friend, and she had discovered that Animah had a younger sister and she thought it was time that both her boys played with someone their age.
Chandra was the quiet one, he wasn't too sure about this meeting new people thing. After all when they had met that giant woman at the tournament she had told them all sorts of strange stories about bug people and how they liked to eat children. His sprite Awen fluttered about him before she settled on his shoulder nestling into his hair. She had taken to nesting there as it was a safe place to be.
The young boy looked to his brother unsure of what to do or say, their mother instructed them to wait outside of Animah's home while she told them they were there. Maybe the girl they were suppose to play with was inside? Looking over to his brother he fiddled with his fingers he wasn't exactly sure what to say or do.

This was so not fun Aysun thought to himself, making it bit of a face as he walked side by side with his brother, turning from time to time to look over his shoulder. It wasn't that he didn't want to go out with Mommy and Chandra to go... well, to meet the people she wanted them to meet. It was the fact that he was only allowed to be bring one member of the zoo, meaning that three had to stay home! Menk had stayed home, mostly because the fish could care less if it came or went. From there he had to decide between Kapila, Pembe, and Flower... but in the end he decided on flower. He couldn't bring Kapila because leaving the other two behind meant Pembe spending the day trying to eat flower, he couldn't bring Pembe because he was so big, and given that Chandra had Awen it seemed best that be bring Flower. Not to mention his compact size was helpful. Even now the pink Summer Sprite was perched on his head, putting little braids in it.
Turning to look over at Chandra when they were told to wait outside he couldn't help but to roll his eyes, "I get the feeling that we are gonna be waiting outside a lot for a while, huh?" The fact that there was 'war' looming over everything seemed to be making the adults want to talk on their own a lot. It really was a bother given that he would like to try to hear what was going on... he needed to get better at spying he thought to himself, shifting in place, before he added, "If I knew we were gonna be stuck outside I'd of told Pembe and Kapila to follow us." If they listened or not was debatable but he could have at least given them the option.
"I wonder if they plan on kicking that girl outside too." He said, lifting a hand up to ruffle Flower's hair before he turned completely toward Chandra, "I bet it will be easier for you to talk to her, huh? She will be a lot closer to our level after all." Though he couldn't say that he liked the idea of some girl stealing his brother away from him... but still, it would give him someone to play with when Aysun was in Jauhar with was a good thing... though really he felt that Chandra should just come with him! They could climb the trees together, it would be fun! He wondered if Daddy's side of the family was just too big, loud, and overwhelming for Chandra though. Not that it was any quieter here when Momma and Uncle Jacin started to argue over whatever the day's 'subject to argue over' was.

Sathe was inside sitting on the floor with her Tin, watching little Tin flit her fins back and forth while she swam, when Big Sister got a knock on the door. She didn't think that Big Sister was expecting friends, but she perked up from her seat on the floor when the leaf woman came in through the door. This was the lady that Aminah spent a lot of time with. Sathe hadn't met her yet though. Big Sister said that she had her hands full and couldn't come by as much as she wanted anymore. What she had her hands full with, Sathe didn't know. Maybe it was with that big hammer she carried with her, though she didn't see why that would stop someone from visiting.
Aminah turned to Sathe and basically scooted her out of the door, telling her it was grown up stuff they were going to talk about and that Sathe should play with the two boys outside. She ran back in to grab her Tin before Big Sister could kick her out and the door was closed behind her.
She looked at the two boys, assessing whether they were friendly or not, and held her Tin to her chest. They looked like her and Big Sister with their white hair, though more like Sathe with her tan skin. Big Sister didn't tan easy like she did. One looked kinda grumpy, and the other just looked scared. Well... she could help with that. Her face lit up. And they had sprites! She had only ever seen sprites when Big Sister took her to the tournament and these boys had them! Oh oh oh!
She grinned at the two boys and held her Tin out. "Look Tin! These boys brought friends!" The little fish stared unfocused out from her little orb and popped bubbles in response.

Looking to his brother he didn't comment on what he had stated about the adults making the kids stay outside. After all he would much rather just enjoy himself and his siblings company than he forced to endure that complicated subjects that the adults commonly discussed. Suddenly there was movement from the front of the house.
Chandra looked to the young girl who had come outside or rather was ushered outside by her mom? No..she didn't...look like her mom maybe her aunt? Either way she had a Menk clutched to her chest, that meant that she must of gotten one of the little fish pets at the tournament as well. Chandra chewed on his lower lip and felt himself shy away as the girl spoke, half hiding behind his brother as he continued to observe her.
Awen however was bored and though she had been nesteled in the boy's hair fluttered up to go take a look at the girl and her pet. Flying in front of it it cocked its head, after all it looked a lot like the one the boys had back home. She then flitted up to dart around the girls head, to observe her from every angle.

When the one that they were to meet with arrived Aysun couldn't help but to stare at her for a long moment, tilting his head to one side, before he turned to look over at his brother, "Huh, maybe it won't be too bad." He murmured, how could this person be a bad one to hang out with for a while if she had a pet after all. He supposed that he could deal with this, even if his animal friends weren't about he decided before he leaned in to look at the Menk that she was carrying about with her, "Neat, another Menk." He murmured, finding that he rather liked the strange fish even if they didn't really do all that much save for swim around in lazy circles in the globes they lived in. A really simple pet for sure but one that he liked nevertheless, "We have Menk too, they are pretty cool for being a really small and simple critter. A shame we couldn't get lots more of them, isn't that right Chandra?"
He turned to look at his brother who was, as usual, hiding behind him. He didn't really mind though, he was used to it and he wanted to protect his brother and keep him safe from all the scary things in the world. The problem was that this girl didn't strike him as being scary or dangerous... she didn't quite have that 'warrior woman' aura about her like the one their mother had after all so surely she couldn't be that bad? Chandra should be safe from her or so he would like to believe, "I think she will be alright, Chandra, she isn't scary at all." He whispered to his brother.
Looking up as Flower started to chirp at him he gave a nod of his head, "Yeah, go ahead." He said, as though he knew exactly what it was that the pink sprite was saying. Not that it was difficult to figure out. Awen was flying around the girl's head and now Flower wanted to do the same. As the bright pink sprite joined it's darker colored friend his attention went back to the girl, "So, my name is Aysun, this is my brother Chandra, his sprite Awen, and mine is Flower. What's your name?" He asked of the girl as Flower joined in the fun that was flying circles around the girl as though she was an interesting new specimen that needed to be studied.

Sathe giggled with deep amusement as both of the sprites began to circle her from all angles. She hooked Tin under her arm and used the other to tap Flower in the belly lightly. "You're so lucky! I've never seen a sprite up close before." She turned her head back to the boys at the mention of menk. "You're telling me that you have more pets back home? That's so cool! My menk is named Tin. Big Sister has two of them. I guess she thought that same as you 'cuz she didn't want to just have one. They're named Bay and Bon." Sathe moved her arm as she spoke, her energy seeping into the air. It wasn't everyday that she got to meet new people, and especially people her own size.
"Oh! And I'm Sathe." Duh. How could she almost forget to introduce herself? "It's nice to meet you Aysun and Chandra! And Awen and Flower of course." Her attention continued to flicker between the two interesting boys in front of her and the adorable little sprites bouncing all over the place in the air around her. "Are you two Keilana's little brothers too?" It was pretty clear that Sathe didn't get out much really. Her parents were getting on in years, but to her, that seemed to be the norm. It didn't really click that they had had Aminah at a normal age... and Sathe not so much.

At his brothers question Chandra remained silent, it seemed that he was...not entirely comfertable with having this new girl around. At least not until he had observed her for a bit. Though he didn't reply to Aysun he shook his head for an answer, he wasn't a big fan of animals like his brother was. He has no desire or interest in gathering hordes of creatures he would then be forced to look after. He frowned as Aysun informed him that the girl wasn't scary. Looking away he took a step away from his brother, an expression of annoyance on his face. He...he wasn't scared of ..her. He was just being cautious. More annoyingly though he didn't want his brother thinking he was afraid of a girl. That wasn't it...he just wasn't sure what to say to her... When then girl introduced herself he managed to take a peek at her, watching Awen and Flower buzz around her head like it was a new and fun game for them. Though at her question he gave her a confused look and shook his head slowly. "M...mother." He replied softly wondering just why she would think their mom woudl be their sister.

Aysun gave a grin, seemingly pleased with the fact that the girl approved of the spirites. They were special and beautifu after all so why wouldn't she love them? His grin only grew brighter when she spoke of them having more pets back home, "Yeah, I wish that I had known that we were gonna be playing outside, I'd of brought more of them with me. Pembe and Kapila both had to stay behind because I could only bring one with me." He really didn't understand why. Maybe if they were going to be going inside then things would make a lot more sense as to why the others weren't allowed to come along. He was starting to think that it was mostly due to Momma not caring for them all that much. "Nice to meet you too Sathe." He said, his words genuine since he actually felt that she wasn't so bad. The fact that she seemed to like animals got her a lot of bonus points as far as Aysun was concerned. He had been a bt leery over the idea at first of hanging out with a girl but now it didn't seem so bad at all! The next question posed to them by the girl had him laughing a bit though, "What? Our older sister? Naw, it's like what Chandra said, she's our Mom." He was of course curious now about Sathe's older sister. The woman was their mother's friend which meant that they must be the same age but where the mother had kids her friend only had a sister their age. He might very well find it odd if it weren't for the fact that he had an uncle that was about his age back in Jauhar he thought to himself before giving Sathe a smile, "So your sister, she doens't have any kids?" He asked curiously of Sathe, wondering if there were any other kids running around or if she was it, not that he would mind either way.

Sathe's eyes lit up at the mention of more. She would have to get them to tell her all about their other pets later, though Chandra didn't look like he liked too many all that much. His face was sort of sour looking.
Sathe looked to them both a little confused as they announced the relationship status of Keilana to the two of them before she seemed to understand enough to accept it. She beamed at the two of them. "Well then, your mom is very pretty!" She then proceeded to laugh out with enthusiasm as she considered the thought of her Big Sister having kids of her own. "No, that'd be silly. Big Sister doesn't even have a boy she likes. Not that I know of at least. She's always in her garden. So unless a plant gives her a baby, I don't think it's gonna happen anytime soon." She motioned to the back of Aminah's house as she spoke before coming up with a great idea.
"Heeeyyyy! I have an idea! Wanna go to my Big Sister's garden? We can play there as long as we don't bother the plants. Some of them are bigger than me." She stated, stretching her free arm as high as it could go to signify their height. Which was true. Sometimes Sathe liked to go out there just to get lost by herself.

Chandra observed as his brother seemed to hit it off with Sathe, at first he was jealous, although he wasn't entirely sure why. Part of him wanted his brother to himself, another was jealous of the fact Aysun was able to have a conversation with Sathe. Swallowing he wasn't entirely sure what to say as they both liked animals and he was positive this conversation was going to involve talking about pets... It wasn't that he didn't like animals..he just didn't see the point of owning them. Perhaps he picked up a bit of that attitude from his Uncle Jac. Animals were food or tools not companions. He considered the sprites different since they had a humanoid body shape and his menk back home..well it was just pretty to look at. Chandra gave Sathe a strange look as she joked about a plant giving her sister a baby. Could that really happen? He made a mental note to ask Uncle Tak, he liked being around him...he was quiet. Plants were interesting to, though he didn't share the intense love of plants and knowledge like Uncle Tak he did find some comfort in being around them. "S...sure. Okay Asyun?" He inquired looking for his brothers approval before they went anywhere.

Aysun nodded his head, "Oh yeah, she is really pretty." He said, then after looking back and forth to make sure that his Momma wasn't within earshot he added, "She's also really strong and really tough! I would almost say that is probably tougher then our Papa, isn't that right, Chandra? I bet she could take him in a fight!" It would be a fight for ages for sure he thought to himself, wanting to see such a thing himself though he doubted that he could actually just ask his parents to spar. A shame they hadn't met up during the tournament they they'd have been able to see first hand who was stronger.
As Sathe explained about how her sister having kids would be silly because she didn't even have a boy she like he gave an 'ahhh' sound. At the mention of plants giving her sister babies he couldn't help but to laugh, "A plant that gives people babies? Seems pretty silly to me." How little Aysun knew. At the mention of going to play in the a fore mentioned garden he looked over at Chandra as he actually agreed to it, wondering if maybe his brother liked the girl that they were chatting with. After a moment of thought about what that might mean he gave a nod, looking back at Sathe, "Yeah, let's go and see the giant plants!" He was all for a fun adventure like that. Sure, he'd seen a lot of massive plants in Jauhar before but this would be different, these were giant plants in Tale! Not to mention that they were garden plants, so that meant that they were hand grown! If they were as Sathe described them then her sister must be some gardener.
Taking Chandra's hand in his, hoping to make his brother feel a bit more courageous he said to Sathe, "Lead the way!"

Sathe jumped up at the opportunity to lead and nearly ran for the garden. But: she was able to contain herself enough to just kind of skip the first couple of steps before walking. she waved her arm in the directing they were going. "It's just this way. It's a little far back but that's because my sister needed a lot of space to plant all the things. You guys will like it it's really cool."
While they walked, Sathe answered back to their previous conversation, as if she had just remembered that they were actually speaking of something else. "Oh your mom must be so strong then. Big Sister is strong, too! She uses magic though. I saw her fighting during the tournament once and it was so cool. She didn't make it that far though. The person she was fighting against was too good." She put her finger to her chin while she spoke, thinking out loud for the most part.
"Oh! Right here!" She pushed back some fronds to clear the way and almost pushed the other two boys into the space. It was huge to put it bluntly. And there were exotic plants everywhere, including hanging in pots from vines purposely grown across and weaved in the trees.

As the conversation turned to fighting the poor boy gave his brother a look, mama fighting papa? Well..sure mama was not a person to trifle with, he saw her wield her hammer at the tournament and nearly squash her opponent. He certainly didn't want to be on the receiving end of that. It was interesting to learn that Sathe's sister was in the tournament as well. Squeezing his brothers hand as Sathe revealed the glory which was her sisters garden he had to wonder a moment if they were back in Jahaur. There were so many familiar plants from there, and only a person who could summon water would be able to keep those plants alive here. Looking around in slight awe his sprite Awen landed on Sathe's head and settled there, looking quite comfortable around the the girl. Trying to gesture his companion back to him he found the sprite ignoring him rather blatantly. If he wanted her so badly he had to come get her it seemed. Glowering at the sprite a moment he sighed and then returned to looking at the plants. "Your sister sure does have a lot of them...is she trying to plant a forest?"

"Ohhh, she fought in that tournament too? A lot of our family did really well in it!" Aysun chirped before saying proudly, "Uncle Jacin won it and our Daddy was second, we have good blood it seems." He was more then certain that when he and Chandra grew up that they were going to be quite powerful themselves if the various members of their family were any indication. It was something he was looking forward to, wanting to be tall like everyone that they spent a lot of time with. As they headed forward, pushing through some big leaves and into the garden he couldn't help but to give a squeal of delight, "Oh, wow! This place is great! It's kinda like where Daddy lives, don't you think Chandra?" The plants weren't quite as big as though in Jauhar but they were still massive and intimidating in size. It made him take a step closer to one of them, looking up at it, "Huh... I wonder if some of these trees are strong enough to climb. What do you think, Sathe? Have you tried?" When his brother asked if she was trying to plant a forest he looked around a moment more then said, "That would be nice, Tale really could use more shade like they have in Jauhar." How nice would that be? It might help to cool it down a bit too. In fact just being here in the garden and out of the direct sun was that much nicer. A small forest would be even better, "I hope that her plants get good and big." He said, releasing Chandra after giving his hand a squeeze so he could prowl around the trunk of one of the trees.

Sathe tied Tin around her waist for safe keeping and crossed her arms almost smugly as the boys took in the garden. She knew that her Big Sister was the best at this, and she also knew that it was huge and awesome and something to be proud of. The little sprite landed on her head and she gave a little poke and a giggle at the thing, thoroughly amused with it and definitely wanting one of her own. She would have to ask where she could get one later.
"Well, it's sort of a food forest." Sathe explained. She didn't think that the trees and plants were going to get much much bigger, but they would give lots of fruit and things to the people of the village, which was a good thing. "The trees and things aren't going to be too big, but it'll feed a bunch of people!" She added onto that as almost an afterthought. "And it's definitely big enough to climb, but don't let my Sister see you doing it." She hissed out the last part, whispering as loudly as she could so the boys would get the hint. Sometimes, when Big Sister was out on a trip, Sathe would come by to help with the watering and climb the bigger trees. "This one's the best." She stated matter of factly as she ran up to a tall, gnarled looking tree with willowy vines hanging down.
