This story had no happy ending in the sense that there will never be any real physical contact in the romance. The story revolves around the medieval times. A noble lady walks around by night near the cathedral and notices a shadow at the distance. She assumes is a knight just resting but as she approaches the shadow she realizes there is a translucent figure that she is watching. It was a knight, but a ghost knight. At first she is perplexed and rather scared of this abnormal figure but as she takes a closer look, she notices that the ghostly figure still has a human figure and that the knight had died recently on a crusade. The ghost can talk and be completely human except for its form. Every night, the lady and the knight talk, but only by night since by day he cannot be seen nor does he appear. Sadly this is the story of love that never was nor can it be, but instead it lives on the lady and the ghost of a loyal knight who is punished by destiny to remain on the land guarding the kingdom as a ghost. NoteThe ghost will later on be able to possess a human but with the help of a witch the lady will have to contact first. Skelly for this rp is up to you, just PM IT TO ME FIRST. I need to approve it first.

name: Skye Walker age: 16 gender: female race: human short bio: daughter of a noble who is friends with the king. She doesn't really get to do much since she's born of noblility and spends her time reading. She tends to sneak out of her home at night and that's when she met the ghost night. pic: (please ignore the fact that she looks like an elf princess) Name: William Yates Age: 21 Gender: Male Race: Ghost Short Bio: William was a loyal and brave knight at the king's service and like a good brave knight he died by a blade of a sword. During a battle that determined the liberty of the kingdom's land, William died killing the enemy's leader. However, he died not knowing he had too killed the enemy. William and the knights of the kingdom they belonged too had won but not without casualties. William was honored and buried in the very same spot he was killed. Now, 1 year later, William has been appearing by his tomb, next to the gates that protect the kingdom as a guardian. He has been condemned to never rest and always serve as an eternal protector. Pic:

~Skye Walker~ Skye walked through the night with a cloak on to cover her face and clothes. 'Hope my parents won't find out I sneaked out tonight,' she thought. She roamed around and saw someone by the gate to the kingdom. As she got closer, she noticed it was a man, a knight, standing guard at the gate entrance. She got even closer and covered her mouth as to not make a sound from her gasp. She was able to see through the body of this man. She hid behind a building so he wouldn't catch sight of her.

William • Yates As the night called with the lonely sound of the raven's cawing, the knight of the night had been summoned. In yet another cold night, William appeared by his death spot, next to the town's gates. Like the loyal and brave knight he had been, even after death, he was bounded to protect the kingdom he loved so much, but as a ghost now. A supernatural being. He had no sense of being a ghost, but also no sense of being a human. He knew he was dead, but he didn't know he could be seen either. Now, by the silent night, he heard footsteps. Not leaving his spot, he turned around. "Show thyself!" Yes, the ghost had a voice and even a normal appearance, and a not bad looking one at that.

~Skye Walker~ Skye came out from behind the building, shaking in fear of what this man might do to her. "I am very sorry, good sir. I-I was just taking a stroll by the walls and saw you," she tried to explain. She didn't know if he was dead or not, ghost or human, but all she could see was a transparent man whose face still showed against the moonlight.

William • Yates It took William quite some time to come to the realization that he was actually being seen! And even talked to him too! It surely caught him off guard, but nonetheless he was happy. "Y-you can see and listen to me? Surely this is a surprise. I am afraid to have startled you my noble lady." and he bowed to her like a royal knight would've. By the attire he was wearing, or semi-seen (seeing as how he is a ghost), it was obvious he was or had been an upper class knight. It was an awkward meeting. None of them had been expecting this. However, William seemed sincere and noble at heart. No evil radiating from his presence.
There had been a legend that started no more than a year ago (after William's death) that the ghost and soul of a Knight still roamed the gates of the kingdom. That the knight had been condemned to protect the city for eternity. That he had fallen in battle as a brave soldier but unexpectedly and that is why he still roamed earth.

~Skye Walker~ Skye curtsied when the knight bowed to her. "Yes, I can see and hear you. W-was I not supposed to?" she asked shyly. She was glad the darkness concealed part of her face. She suddenly felt warm and fuzzy on the inside and her face was getting hot. 'This never happens when I speak to others,' she thought. "What might your name be, sir knight? Are you the knight in which they say protect the gates to the kingdom like in the legends?" she asked curiously.

William • Yates William shook his head and smiled slightly at the lady before him. The smile was barely noticeable but it wasn't less sincere and kind because of that. "I am William Yates. I am afraid I am. Hence my surprise of thy acknowledgement towards myself." It would seem that the knight has had a lonely ghost life for he never got seen, except for a very few exceptions. He didn't seem wounded or anything, except that he had a small hole that seemed to pierce entirely where his heart should be. That was how he died.

~Skye Walker~ Skye was not surprised but also surprised about this revelation to her. "I-I see. I am Skye Walker. Um..you seem very lonely, William." She saw a whole on his chest and reached out a hand to touch it, but retreated it. "I-is that where you got hurt for you to die?" she asked curiously, not trying to sound horrible.

William • Yates Although the hole was there, William was unable to see it. He had died unknowingly. Death had got him by surprise. Last thing he remembered from being alive was him thrusting his sword at the enemy leader. Even after hearing Skye's comment about his wound, he still didn't see it and yet, he smirked a bit. "I would presume so. I cannot see this painful point that you seem to be looking at." It was clear that William had no idea how he had died. Anyone else from the still living knights did though. "It is late and dangerous for a lady to be roaming town. Please, head back home." The knight was polite and full of chivalry.

~Skye Walker~ Skye felt guilty about asking him how he died, but obeyed him when he said she should go back home., smiling softly. "I will." She curtsied once again and started to walk back in the direction she came from, and turned around. "Will I see you again?" she asked him, hoping she could see this kind man once again.

William • Yates William turned to look at lady Skye again and smiled her way. "If fate has it, then we shall. Good night my lady." he bowed and then seemed to vanish from her sight like the ghost he was. He was gone in the darkness again.
A knight, a former colleague from William, happened to be passing by and noticed Skye. The knight quickly rushed towards her. "My lady!" he saluted her. "'Tis late for a night walk. Allow me to escort you back home." The knight knew about the legend about William. In fact, he did come some nights to pay a visit to his fallen friend, like right now. Although, he had never seen him as ghost. He just heard the rumors. He always hoped to see him and maybe even talk to him, since he was a long loved friend.

~Skye Walker~ Skye heard the voice of a different person and saw it was another knight, but actually visible and not a ghost. "Thank you, sir knight. It would be most appreciated," she said, bowing her head slightly. She walked back home with the knight escorting her there, making sure she wasn't hurt or attacked on the way. "I thank thee for escorting me home," she said to him before going inside her home. 'Tomorrow night I shall go see William again.'

William • Yates The knight bowed one last time before heading back towards's the town gates where William's tomb and ghost was. The man had never seen his friend, but he had surely heard the legends. Only one time he had thought to see the silhouette of of who he thought to be William, but sadly, upon getting closer to the tomb, he found no one...
William would be left there all night until the sun starts to rise. Then, he will be there but not seen.
As soon as Skye got home, the head maid received her, but with a heavy reproach. "My lady! Where have you been? Good God, thy parents will worry if they found out. The streets are dangerous at night!"
