Aysun gave a grumbling sound as he found himself and his brother sent outside 'to play' while their parents and uncles talked. It was something that he didn't quite understand, sure he knew what the talk of 'war' was a bad thing but exactly what it was that they were planning on doing. All he knew was that they weren't allowed to stay inside and talk too. Shouldn't they be allowed to stay if it was important? Of course given he had no idea what was going on exactly it wasn't as though they could really help, huh? All he knew for certain was that whatever was going on had the older members of the family stressed out and that was something that Aysun didn't care for in the least bit. Ah well, he supposed that their parents would let them know soon enough or so he hoped.
As his sprite, Flower, came to perch on his head he gave a little smile, reaching up to pat the creature lightly before he turned his attention to his brother, "Don't worry, things will be alright." He told Chandra, giving him a smile, then turned to climb down out of the tree house that his uncles lived in, hopping off the ladder when he was most of the way down, landing easily, then trotted over to where a couple of his other pets were sitting. He reached up to wrap his arms around Pembe, giving the fancy bird a hug, then squatted down to pet Kapila, "Hello little pets." He said, despite the fact that they were both bigger then he was, Pembe especially. Once he'd pushed up to his feet again, waving at Pembe when the bird seemed to take interest in Flower once more, "No! No eating Flower!" He said, pointing at the bird before he turned his attention back to Chandra once more.
"Come on, come say 'hello' Chandra! They are all quite sweet... well... except Pembe when it comes to flower, he seems to think that sprites are food..." A habit he was trying to break the big avian of but with no success as of yet. Soon he hoped since he didn't want Flower to get swallowed, that likely wouldn't turn out well for anyone involved. He just waited the pair to get along, play nice, and that way maybe one day he could get even more pets though he'd have to ask his Papa since Momma didn't seem to be thrilled with the size of his zoo... asking for more wouldn't go over well he was sure. Next time maybe something even bigger with lots of teeth? That would be cool! Like a Mammu! Papa had told him all about those and he wanted one even if he was told they likely wouldn't care for the weather in Tale and Jauhar and couldn't climb trees.

Serious talks were happening and Chandra wondered a bit about them. He wasn't so naive to think that the world was a wonderful place and that it was full of butterflies and rainbows but having the grown ups be so serious did make him rather ...worried. Standing up on the ledge of their tree home and looking down watching as Aysurn continued as if nothing was wrong. Awen was settled on his shoulder holding onto a piece of his hair and his menk was inside. Too worried about dropping it this high up.
Watching as Aysurn went from one animal to the next he sighed and went to sit on the ledge instead of climbing down. Why did his brother have so many of those creatures? He was quite content with Awen and his pet fish, but his brother seemed to like to collect the creatures. From the large bird to the bug ...and his sprite and his own menk.
A hand went up to sheild Awen as his brother invited him down, explaining how the bird Pembe seemed to think that sprites were food. Awen was a great comfort to him and he would be heart broken if she got eaten. "Why do you have so many Asy? Momma doesn't like all the pets you have..."

Aysun gave a pause, seemed to be thinking on it for a moment, then gave a bit of a shrug, "I dunno, they like me and are good friends to me, so why wouldn't I have them all?" He asked, turning back to looking the group of them over, scolding Pembe a bit when the bird gave Flower another look that said that he thought the pink Sprite might be delicious, "There will be none of that. How about instead..." He looked around for a moment then spotted something on the ground, scooping up a small bug and tossed it into the air. Pembe was quick to snap it out of the air with his beak, chomping it a couple times, then swallowed.
Of course right after Kapila started to yell at Pembe, displeased over the bird eating a bug when she was right there! The two of them started to argue and Aysun shook his head, "Come on you two... try to get along." He told them before he turned to walk over toward where Chandra was, looking up at him, "Are you staying up there? Is it cause you don't like them either?" He knew his mother didn't much care for his beasts but he loved them... besides, he spent a lot of time in Jauhar so surely it should be alright for them to be around when he was visiting Tale, right? He'd be lonely with out them and vice versa if they were stuck staying in Jauhar without him. If it ended up that his Momma didn't like them so much that they had to stay with Papa though... well, he supposed he'd survive. Maybe she would at least let him have one come visit with him? He hoped so at least.

Chandra gave his brother a strange look, they like him? Whatever did he mean by that...it seemed like a very silly thing to say. His hands still stayed up where Awen sat on his shoulder, it was as if she enjoyed the fact that Chandra wanted to protect her, and JUST her. Peering around his fingers she stuck her tongue out at Flower as if it should be jealous at how Chandra treated her so special. "Its not...that I don't like them...I just don't understand why you need more...you call them friends..but they are just animals..." Chandra replied, perhaps getting some of that attitude from his uncle Jac. He didn't see the sprites as animals though...Awen was very special to him, she made him smile...and he didn't need another sprite to help him do that, one was enough. "And if you have one...why do you need more? Can't one be enough to keep you company?" He inquired down to his brother holding no interest in getting to know his brother's zoo.

Aysun starred at his brother for a long moment, cocking his head to one side as he did so, before he turned back to the biggest of his pets, nuzzling against Pembe's warm feathers, "I tink you have been hanging out with our Uncle Jacin too much." If Chandra looked upon animals in such a manner it meant that his opinion was being colored by their uncle, something that he couldn't help but to be a little upset over. Chandra was supposed to agree with him on things, not their uncle! Especially Uncle Jacin! Uncle Takoda on the other hand, he would be alright with Chandra agreeing with him, he liked Uncle Takoda, he was so nice and cuddly!
Leaning into Pembe more he said, "I don't want just one... so this means you are siding with Uncle Jacin and Momma against me, huh?" He said, clinging to Pembe, not liking the idea that his brother seemed to be wanting to agree with everyone but him. It made him miss Papa's side of the family, they didn't seem to mind his pets... though maybe Uncle Luis and Isa were a bit too enthusiastic when they played with them. Little Shay at least went easy on them and he seemed to be Kapila's favorite at the moment. He turned to look over at his brother while clinging to his avian friend and said, "I will probably get more but... maybe its best if I leave them with Papa's side of the family when I come here." Nobody really seemed to like his pets here except maybe Uncle Takoda.
"Pembe, down." He said, waiting for the bird to do as he was told before he climbed up onto his back, giving him a nudge so that he would get up, riding him around the area. He would never understand why Momma, Uncle Jacin, and now Chandra didn't like his pets but he wouldn't let them force him to change his opinions of his friends.

It was his turn to look upset, looking away from his brother and his 'pets' he gave a furrowed look, his hand dropping down from Awen and laying in his lap. His sprite sensing his unhappiness fluttered up to lay on his head, stretching far over so she could kiss his forehead lightly. "I...I am not agai..snt you..." The young boy muttered, but he couldn't help but feel jealous. After all, all those creatures needed his brothers attention which meant less attention and time for him. Looking down his eyes went wide as he noticed Aysun mount his bird Pembe. Anticipating his brother was going to leave him he suddenly moved into action and began to climb down in haste. So worried about being left behind that he knocked Awen off his head and didn't even apologize. Irritated the sprite fluttered away and went to hide behind a large leaf in her annoyance. "Aysun!" Chandra called out sounding out of breath as his feet hit the ground, though paused as he realized that his brother was just riding the animal around...not leaving. Flushed he felt stupid and kicked some dirt away from his feet. "I...I just don't like them!" He declared finally, looking at his brother with stern eyes before away, "The more pets you get..." The young boy trailed off as if struggling to figure out the right words, " ....you spend all your time with them...so if you get more... I'll...you..." Chandra was almost near tears, truth be told he was often jealous of his brothers pets, they spent a lot of time with his brother.

Aysun turned his head when he heard his brother calling out his name, looking a bit confused as his twin suddenly climbed down, looking as though he were going to chase after him... but instead just stood there kicking at th dirt. He blinked a couple times, wondering what it was that was going on inside of his head... only to have that question answered a moment later. Chandra didn't like his pet? It was something that had him starring in a wide eyed, hurt manner. He didn't like them? That wasn't nice to say in front of them... poor Pembe! His feelings must be so hurt! Of course as he worried about the bird's possibly injured feelings the bird merely set about pecking at the ground, seemingly fine with the idea of Chandra not liking him.
When his brother continued he turned to look at him, starring for a long moment, then he couldn't help but to laugh. His brother was jealous? Giving Pembe a nudge he said 'down' once more, climbing off of the fluffy bird so that he could walk over to where Chandra was standing, "You are so silly, Chandra, you know I love you best." He said, wrapping his arms around his brother, resting his forehead against that of his twin, before he gave him a smile, "You know, you really should try to get tougher, I mean you are the older brother." He teased him. Sure, only by a couple moments but it was still fun to tease Chandra about it since he was so soft, sweet, quiet, and now it would seem made easily jealous as well. To think that he actually considered Aysun's menagerie of pets to be competition for Aysun's love.
"You are the one I love most, Chandra. Not to mention you are the best because you can actually talk to me." He said, glancing at the others, "You also don't need me to feed you, groom you, or otherwise clean up after you... so yeah, you're my favorite my far." Pets were a lot of work and luckily for him his brother wasn't as much work.

Giving a small sniffle he tried to repress the tears without using his arm to make it more obvious that he was upset. Though even as his brother leaned his head against his forhead he still felt like he was being treated like a baby. Sighing he took another deep breath trying to keep in his storm of emotions though it seemed as if he would have to be 'tougher'. Was that how his brother saw him? He had no interest in fighting...or did he mean something else? Licking his lips he wrapped his arms around his brother if a bit reluctantly. To be honest his biggest fear was that his brother would leave him behind. He was so bold and adventurous, meanwhile he was more interested in the surrounding area...books...books like Uncle Takoda had interested him. "I...won't let you leave me behind.." he murmured mostly to himself, before he broke away from his brothers grasp. Looking back up at the tree home he felt a sinking sensation in his stomach. What were they talking about? Did they really think they were so dumb that they wouldn't know something was up? "Do you think....Daddy and Uncle Jak ...maybe even Uncle Tak will have to go to war? What if mommy has to go?" He murmured feeling uncomfertable.

Aysun gave a soft laugh as he looked his brother over, taking in everything about his current mood, before wrapping his arms around him more tightly, "You know that I would never leave you behind, Chandra! In fact once we are older I will be sure to drag you along on any adventures I go on!" He chirped, rather eager to get to visit some of the places that they had only heard about in stories, places like Sauti and Zena, but he knew that they would have to wait until they were much older before they could go to such places. Such a pain he thought to himself before his brother was suddenly looking up toward where their mother was at the moment.
There was a long, drawn out moment where he watched the house as well, knowing that everyone was up there at the moment save for the two of them, before he gave a sigh, "I... I don't know... would they all go?" He asked, not wanting to think about that happening, "I mean... Uncle Jacin and Daddy do seem to be out patrolling a lot more lately, haven't they?" Did that mean that they were gearing up to go to war? It wasn't really something that he wanted to think about, not wanting to consider what might happen if they all left... wouldn't that meant that the two of them would be all alone?
He gave his brother the best smile that he could muster and said, "I will be right here with you, Chandra." Even if his brother was the older brother he knew that if their parents and uncles had to fight then it would be up to him to protect Chandra! He would command his army of pets and make sure nothing scary got any where near his Chandra!

Chandra wasn't sure if they all could go, or if they would have to go. That was his biggest worry. What if they stuck them with some strange people whilst everyone they knew and loved went off to war? Licking his upper lip that felt bewilderingly dry for some reason he gave his twin another look before his gaze rejoined Aysun's looking up at the tree home.
"T..they have been extra protective too. More so than normal." Chandra continued with a small sigh. "What...what if we are put with strangers Aysun? What if we get separated?" He whispered the second question as if he wasn't brave enough to face it on his own. What would they do if they ended up separated? He wished that he could help them in some way...but he wasn't interested in fighting...not like daddy or uncle Jak could. Tak could use magic...and that was more his style....but...could he ask uncle Tak to teach him?
Healing though...sounded weak. Even though the only healer he ever knew was Uncle Tak...so maybe that was a terrible coincidence. Kicking the ground with his foot he allowed Awen to rest on his shoulder again, where she settled into his hair quite happily.

Aysun shifted in place for a moment before he said, "We won't be put with strangers. If something happens then we will go and stay with Gram in Jauhar, we have lots of aunts and uncles there too, they are fun to play with. But... I... don't want them to go to war." He murmured, knowing that while they had options other then being with strangers that the idea of going to Jauhar only because they had to, because their parents and family in Tale had gone to war, it wasn't something he wanted. It was an awful thought, an awful feeling, and one that made him want to cry. Not that he would, he couldn't show any sort of weakness, or tears, in front of his brother. He had to be strong for them both.
Lifting a hand he patted him on the head, ruffling his hair, before he said, "It will be alright, Chandra, I will keep you safe." His brother was a bit soft, he didn't strike him as the sort that would really become a warrior and fight against the scary things of the world. As such he would need to grow up and become a warrior! He'd keep his brother safe from all of those that wanted to start trouble he thought to himself before he pulled him into a hug, "Just you wait and see." No matter what happened, no matter what he had to do, he'd be strong for Chandra he thought to himself, refusing to let his own fears show, feeling that would be the first step.

The young boy supposed his brother was right, but he couldn't help but worry. What if the adults were all suddenly called away? What if the other adults in the villages they stayed at didn't know of Gram? What if they just decide it was best they stay in Tale? Fiddling with a piece of hair that was starting to get a bit long he fiddled with it only to be stopped by Awen. Her little fingers coming up to still his own restless ones. Taking a deep breath he tried to calm himself down. Giving a bit of protest as his brother fiddled with his hair he offered his brother a cross look, before rolling his eyes. Right. How did Aysun think he was going to protect him? To be honest he felt that it was Aysun that needed to be protected...not the other way around. Funny how little minds thought. "I will try not to worry....but.." Looking over his brothers little zoo he felt himself grow annoyed again. IF they had to go live with Gran that meant that they would be coming with them. And despite his brothers claims about loving him more then them he still felt jealous. But perhaps it was a good time to change the conversation. Pointing to the scorra he gave a sigh. "Alright..so introduce me to your...zoo."

Aysun couldn't help but to give a bit grin when his brother gave him a dark look, "Wow! For a moment there you looked just like mom! That was pretty scary, Chandra." He said in a sing song manner, patting his brother on the shoulder, feeling as though the tense moment between them was passing. Chandra was pouting and rolling his eyes, something that he rather liked the look of. At least he was looking happier, right? Even if he was able to pull off their mother's death glare in a manner that he couldn't help but to be impressed and intimidated by. He just hoped that Chandra grew up to be sweet like Uncle Takoda instead of scary like their mom or Aysun felt that he was gonna be trouble.
Clapping his brother on the back he said, "Yes, no worrying! We don't even know if they are gonna be called away yet. Even if they are I am sure they will make arrangements before hand." Or so he hoped, he didn't want to think that they would all just vanished in an instant leaving the two of them on their own.
Shaking his head he turned back to his zoo as Chandra pointed them out, then gave a happy sound, "You really want to meet them? Alright! Come on!" He said, lacing his fingers together with those of his brother to drag him toward the various pets that he had running around.

Giving a partial eye roll he wondered if that was a compliment or not. Mama could be pretty scary...so did that mean he could be to? Was this a good thing? Crossing his arms over his chest he huffed looking more annoyed at his brother and his comment. He still couldn't help but worry a bit about the war, and what it could mean for their family but the young boy also found it tiring to keep fretting about something he had no control over.
His hand was then taken a hold of and he was dragged forward, instantly he regretted asking to meet his brothers pets. But it was too late now, he had asked to meet them so Aysun was going to make sure that he did.
"One at a time...please...and that bird won't eat Awen will it?" He asked sounding a bit panicked for a moment his free hand coming up to shield his little sprite friend. He recalled Aysun chastising the bird in regards to trying to eat his own sprite...so should he hide Awen?

As they reached where the animals were currently hanging out Aysun turned to look over at his brother for a moment, then back at his pets, Pembe in particular, before he said, "It should be alright, Pembe tends to chase Flower the most when he isn't with me. I guess he seems to think that they are fair game when they are flying around on their own. Just tell Awen to stay with you and it should be alright." He said before he started forward, looking between his pets, before pointing, "I think you should meet Kapila first, she is pretty laid back."
Squatting down in front of the large bug who was various colors of orange he reached a hand out to pat her on the head, "Pretty, huh? She was the first one to follow me home from Jauhar." He said, though Chandra might already know that. It mostly depended on how much his brother paid attention when it came to his pets, how many of them there were, and when they showed up. He couldn't say he was certain though if Chandra even cared since he really didn't seem to like them all that much, "She makes some pretty funny noises, especially if you whistle at her! Watch, watch!" Aysun set to making whistling sounds at the bug and after a moment of starring up at him she started to make chittering sounds at him, seemingly mimicking his whistles to the best of her ability. It was something that had Aysun laughing in an amused manner in seconds.
"Neat, huh? Oh! Maybe next you should ride Pembe! That is so much fun too, Chandra!" He said in an excited manner.
