Sailor Celemorrow hopped from lamppost to lamppost as he left his meeting with Sailor Avior. He wasn't yet comfortable taking the chance of Avior following him home, so he was taking a circuitous route to a fast-food restaurant he knew had an appropriate mirror for traveling.

Celemorrow liked lampposts because they gave him a better view of the streets than rooftops, but also allowed him to hide behind the glare of the light from pedestrians below.

The senshi of magnolias paused at a street-corner. He felt something. Something which, he was slowly learning, felt like the aura of a White Moon senshi. He looked around for its origin.

Teeth chattering and eyes bright with unshed tears, Cruithne, Chibi Sensh of Lavender was most assuredly Not Happy. She didn't want to be out at night amongst strangers. And she certainly didn't want to be out and recognizable as a Terrorist. What would her family say if they ever found out? The thought was too awful to continue.

With a forlorn shake of her head, she wiped a gloved hand across her eyes and stuck to the shadows as much as she could. As far as she was concerned, the only use of being a Senshi was the magic that allowed her to heal others.

Still. Magic healing really wasn't a fair payout for having to fight monsters and having half the city convinced that you were a Bad Guy. Sighing, Cruithne almost missed the strange flicker of a dark aura against her senses. Freezing, she glanced around with wide, frightened blue eyes.

Oh. Oh no.

Celemorrow squinted into the shadows. He thought he saw someone there, but it looked a little....small. He would have to get closer to be sure.

He hopped down and inspected the girl he found before him. So, it was a senshi after all. Another child at that.

"Who are you?"

Oh, this was so very not good! Shrinking in on herself, Cruithne stared up at the dark clad figure with wide eyes as her mouth tried to form words that wouldn't come out.

Okay, so he wasn't trying to hurt her and he only wanted her name, but still. He wasn't anyone she recognized even vaguely. That fact allowed her shyness to gain hold of her tongue and she stood there for several minutes leaking tears as she tried so hard to answer.

Finally, she managed a strangled, whispery, "C-cruithne, senshi of l-lavender."

Clearly this was going to take some time and patience.

Lavender, huh? He wondered what that could do.

It was obvious that the younger senshi was nervous. If her mannerisms hadn't betrayed the fact, her voice and tears certainly did. Nevertheless, Celemorrow was never good at comforting people. If he was trying to sound less aggressive, it was not perceivable.

"Sailor Cruithne, don't you think it's a little past your bedtime?"

Crossing his arms probably didn't help. Nor the fact that Sailor Celemorrow apparently didn't believe in introducing himself.

Still shrinking in on herself and wide, blue eyes furiously cast about for an escape. Any escape. Or at least something reassuring that she could put her back up against. Barely able to make herself meet his questioner's eyes, Cruithne's hands began to wring and twitch at her dress.

"M-maybe a little," she whispered. "B-but the c-cat said I was s-supposed to."

Oh, she hated that stammer. She hated having to talk to people she didn't know. She could feel the panic in her chest, growing and thumping in time to her own heartbeat. Cruithne very much felt like a baby mouse being stared at by a very bored cat who hadn't yet decided if it was going to eat her or not.

It was a very uncomfortable feeling.

An eyebrow raised. That was the second time he had heard of a cat in association with a senshi. Last time it was about a cat passing out cell phones with world-hopping technology. This time, the cat talked.

"The cat? Tell me about this cat which tells you to wander the streets late at night."

He really needed to find one of these cats. If they spoke, that would make questioning them much easier.

This was, perhaps, the best possible question to have asked her since her lingering confusion over the cat helped to over-ride her mounting terror at being talked to. Blinking owlishly, Cruithe's voice became a little less wavery as she tried to explain.

"I... I don't know a lot. It didn't stick around for very l-long after it woke me up. But i-it gave me my pen and told me what to say."

Brows knit in concentration, Cruithne was very clearly trying to remember everything she'd been told. And though she was no less scared and shy, at least she wasn't so obviously still looking for escape routes.

It was a start.

"It told me I was a senshi and that my j-job was to patrol and help people and fight Chaos. I-i don't like fighting. It scares me."

This last was said in a tiny whisper that the strange man would have had to lean in close to hear.

After leaning in to hear Cruithne's whispered words, Celemorrow's demeanor softened slightly but noticeably.

"The war between Chaos and the White Moon is an old war that should have ended before our awakening here on Earth. It will only stop when we stop fighting it. If you don't want to fight, you shouldn't. There are more important things to be doing, like finding a way to get to our homes in the stars."

He paused, studying the girl to see how she was taking the information.

Homes in the stars? The cat certainly hadn't mentioned that part! Feeling a tinge of bitterness against the cat who'd awakened her, Cruithne sighed and wrapped her thin arms around herself. This was just getting more and more confusing!

"I-i don't understand," she murmured. "I'm s-sorry."

What exactly she was apologizing for, she wasn't entirely sure. For her own ignorance, perhaps. For somehow being born as a terrorist. Just for simply standing before the strange man. Who knew. At least he wasn't yelling. Cruithne couldn't bear being shouted at.

And he said she didn't have to fight if she didn't want to. That right there won her susceptible little heart.

"I can heal people a little bit though," she offered. "I l-like helping like that. Can I still d-do that?"

Sailor Celemorrow had his own interpretations of the Dark Mirror rhetoric and what he had gleaned from a single White Moon senshi who had visited their planet. He knelt down to eye level with the younger senshi and began:

"Originally, all senshi, including you and me, came from different planets. There was a war which brought destruction to many of these planets and the war continued on. The war should have ended back then, but we were reborn here on Earth and brought the old war with us. If we do not find a way back to our planets, we risk inviting destruction on Earth."

He paused to let that sink in.

"You can heal whomever you like. I would like to leave Earth in better condition than we found it."

Cruithne considered that for a moment. The idea that she had her own planet out there somewhere was an interesting one. And something she would have to look into later. But this war.... The chibi senshi shuddered, though from cold or fear, she wasn't sure. How terrible to be part, whether she liked it or not, or some huge, ages old war.

Chewing lightly on her glove covered thumbnail, she tried to reconcile what a strange talking cat had told her was her duty with her own personal creed. She didn't want to hurt anyone. And fighting hurt everyone.

Oh bother.

Tilting her head slightly as she regarded the other senshi, she gave a helpless little shrug and sigh.

"It all seems very confusing right now, sir," she murmured in a soft voice. Thankfully this time without that hateful stammer. "Can I take my family with me when I find my planet?"

She might be nearly thirteen, but in some ways she was still very child-like. If she had to leave the Earth to help protect it, she wanted her family to be able to go with her.

Celemorrow considered the question for a moment. He had never thought about taking humans - Earth humans - to the stars before. He had been willing enough to leave his own family behind.

"I wouldn't suggest it. They belong on Earth. But it's your planet. If you can find a way to take them, it's up to you."

Pondering it a moment more, he realized that he hadn't considered that there were senshi who may have been closer to their families or even let them know about their senshi identity.

Oh. Feeling a rising wave of sadness at the thought of having to leave her family behind, the purple-haired girl felt more tears building up behind her eyes. She seemed to do doing an awful lot of crying tonight. But... maybe there was a way. She just had to find out. And the tall boy hadn't forbidden it entirely. If she could find a way...

Well. She'd just have to find a way. That was all there was to it.

"Where is your planet, sir?" she asked in a small voice, wanting to learn more. Frankly, the scary boy was a lot more informative than the cat had been.

Letting out a slight but audible sigh as he stood up, Celemorrow looked up to the night sky.

"It's somewhere out there. I haven't been able to get to mine, yet. The Dark Mirror Court is determined to get us to our stars, though it's going to take a lot of work."
