Text: To Mom & Dad
I passed my tests and I am now a second year student at Amityville.
It was a short message that took Circe twelve minutes exactly to type out and successfully send. Her parents replied within five minutes telling her congrats and to expect a present soon. Circe hugged her phone to herself and giggled. The day seemed wonderful and it had taken far too long for her to achieve this goal, but at least she had done it. Of course she was still a whole year behind some of her friends but that didn't matter. It was one small stride that she had worked hard to achieve. Circe also learned she would never again skip a class. Unless she was sucked into one of those scary dreams where she died. The ghoul shivered slightly at the raw memories of dreams. One still stuck out to her and that was when Grelo had left her for dead. Of course she'd forgiven him for it and they'd made up but it had been a dream and it wasn't his fault. A small pinch of guilt tugged at her heart because she hadn't seen him in so long but Circe figured whatever it was he was doing was probably super important. The idea that their friendship was over because she'd left after forgiving the boil was just not something she would allow herself to think of.
"This is a happy time." Circe told herself firmly before putting her new phone back down. Her attention was then diverted to her minipet on her bed who seemed way to happy to be looked at let alone petted. This is what she loved about the little thing though. No matter what he seemed to be happy. Circe went to great lengths to please her mini though which probably wasn't too hard to do considering it was the only one she had. The Reaper ghoul briefly contemplated getting another mini so the one she already had would have a companion. The idea was good and she wouldn't mind having another one in her room but after several minutes of deliberation Circe decided to wait a couple weeks and see if she still felt the same about the idea. Her minipet had crawled over to her and rubbed it's fluffy body all against her arm. "Is this a congratulations for making it to my second year?" Circe asked him, to which he replied with a squeak and she of course couldn't help but cuddle him in her arms. Once the congratulations were over she sat him back down on the bed and he in turn hopped off and over to the area where she kept his food items.
Circe found herself wondering what it was she was going to do next. The day was still early so to just sit at home and eat donuts all day--which was a pretty compelling notion--it just seemed like a huge waste of an epic day. The idea then crossed her mind to go to the graveyard, which she hadn't done it quite some time, but then the idea was quickly replaced with something else. A desire that never seemed to be filled no matter how many times she did it. What was the idea that was so captivating to a ghoul who had only just conquered her personal biggest monster? Well, the grin on her lips might have been a good indication for anyone that knew her. Was it time to enter the gym again for spars? "Oh yeah," Circe certainly thought so. Just how long had it been since she had actually spared there? Far too long. It was like the endorphins in her brain were releasing at just the thought of returning to the gym and it took her all but a second to get herself ready, out of her room and off towards the gym. Was this the best day in history for Circe? The jury was still out for deliberation on that verdict.
