Alright, so earlier this year, Para started a thread about potentially starting a joint art shops to raise some gold for the guild. [ link here ]
I was hoping we could start some fundraising now, early on in the year before people get busy with their own rooms and whatnot. I thought we could get a shop started, since many people have already shown interest in the other thread.
But since Para is unavailable to run the shop as of right now, I was wondering if anyone else would like to run it? Of course, you don't have to run it to be a part of it, the person running it is just the person organizing the whole shebang. If you don't feel like running it, you are more than welcome to help draw for it. (:
If no one is up to actually running the shop themselves, I would just do it myself but maybe on a mule account? Maybe dedicate a mule to the shop to keep everything organized. I believe there was an AURB Artist Mule that was used last year, but I don't have access to that.
But yeah. That's what this thread is about.

bump because this is SUPER RELEVANT
Seriously, though, if you think you are even a little bit organized and like art even a little bit, you should volunteer for this position. Not only do you get to be awesome in an awesome role, you get to help fundraising for the ball a lot! heart heart

Seriously, though, if you guys want to have a chance to run an art shop, just say the word! You don't even have to be one of the artists! You can just organize it. If I end up running it, I probably would draw for it (mainly because I can't, haha).

I dunno about organizing a shop, I don't know if I could or if I would know how. (Could probably figure it out, but it'd likely be better to be safe than sorry) I will help in any way I can/you guys would like me to though. And the art mule information is still listed in the old Guild. Should the Artist Mule still be considered available for use for something like this?

O.o /dragged around gonk Yes, yes you are, mainly because i saw you were online. Well buddy, you see these pretty ladies here? They are in a bit of a bind. They REALLY need someone to help run their art shop. You don't have to draw, and don't have to sketch. All you have to do is be the law and order for the art shop. Handle the funds, and take care of the numbers. You don't really need to talk much, just here and there. You'll be like the manager of a shop. Only that shop is online, and the money you help raise goes to the ball. right Spotted?
Spottedteddybears Yes, yes! I really need some help!

If that mule isn't gonna work, I have a fundraiser mule that will

And if you want, you can start a thread and start collecting artists. We'll need a theme, graphics and coding (not too hard to find, given this is the art committee, haha) and all that jazz. If you use a mule (Artist Mule, fundraising mule, whichever), I can help co-run it, but otherwise you're got the reins! (:

Awesome! we got us a team going now. Don't worry kay, I'll help you too, no need to freak out (if you are). Told you i'd find a job for you! Bet you thought I was lying.
After that small list is done, your job's pretty much done too though! the rest is artist's doing the drawing, advertising getting the name out there, and me, advertising for the advertising team!

Alright, I'll start working out a possible format for the shop. Next step is to hopefully hear from PinkieKitty about the mule. Theme isn't my area of expertise, nor is graphics/style, so that should be left up to someone else. I would suggest a separate pick-up thread with each artist making their own post to put up recent pick-ups and probably a second pick-up archive here in the Guild to keep track of everything. I'll save a backup of every completed work myself, just in case, because I like security. Lol
