It was mid-afternoon in one of Destiny City's parks as a shadowy figure hopped across the treetops, mostly unobserved.

Sailor Celemorrow had managed to lift a security pass from one of his classmates who had an internship at a science lab across town. The fact that he had drained this classmate of his energy before lifting the pass was inconsequential. Earlier in the month, the white-haired senshi had overheard this classmate talking about some experiments the lab was doing on animals. Various animals. Cruel experiments. Among other things, this senshi considered himself a guardian of nature and he was not about to let something like this continue.

He hopped from maple to poplar, poplar to spruce, spruce to magnolia....

An energy signature buzzed on the periphery of Sailor Celemorrow's consciousness. It was small and he almost hadn't noticed it. Looking down, he noticed a small figure on the swings. He hadn't yet learned how to tell the difference between energy signatures, and all he could see of the uniform from his perspective was a whole lot of red. After thinking it over, he decided that he should hop down and say hello.

With a light rustle and a slightly less light thud, Celemorrow landed on the grass behind Aludra and coughed to alert her of his presence.

A...child? Not the high-school-aged senshi he had come across so far, but....a child child. Celemorrow had thought she looked short, but he didn't think....huh. A child. He took a moment to scan the park, just to make sure this wasn't some form of joke.

"Hello. I am Sailor Celemorrow, Senshi of Magnolias. I happened to be passing through. May I ask your name?"

Celemorrow glanced at the swing and then back to the chibi senshi in front of him.

"I see."

Sailor Celemorrow never patrolled. He thought the idea was dumb, particularly as a member of the Dark Mirror Court. His other duties were much more important. As was this mission.

"And what are you patrolling for?"

"Bad guys, huh? Have you found any, yet?"

He couldn't really find fault in the answer. He was off to beat up some bad guys, himself.

"Or do you need some help finding some?"

"I was just on my way to take care of some bad guys."

He gestured toward the direction he was heading.

"There's this lab where animals are being tortured in the name of science. So I was going to free the animals and teach the bad guys a thing or two. Maybe I'll get some progress done on another mission while I'm at it."

The older senshi stared at the younger one in silence for a few seconds before turning around.

"Suit yourself."

He hopped back into the tree and looked back down to see if Aludra would follow.

"It will be the last time I stop for you, then."

Celemorrow hopped off, tree to tree and then, as the park became city again, lamp post to lamp post until they reached the employee parking lot of an industrial research center. He pulled out the stolen access card, swiped it at the employee entrance and opened the door.

He held the door open for Aludra not out of any sense of chivalry, but because the door would immediately lock behind him otherwise.
