It was a strange, but fitting world he'd woken up in. Filled with unique things. Horns. Wings. Talons. Claws. Fur. Scales. A diverse. Unique. World. With a lot of people older and wiser than him too. What with not recalling much of anything, Aki had found it easier to just accept what he was told. He remembered a voice, a door, and his name. Everything else was a new adventure for each day. Which was why he was always up for taking the time to escape outside and go looking around, learning just where he was. Where things were. About it all.

He didn't quite feel he fit in, not entirely. He was younger than most of them and had his issues, but... well he liked the other students. He was here to learn just like them, so it all made sense. They'd stuck him in a REALLY NICE dorm room too. Fancy. Even if he didn't have much to put in there it was nice. And it was a quiet place to rest, assuming his neighbors weren't too noisy. And well, he liked it. It wasn't a bad place. His room was even large enough for him to comfortably sleep in in his other form, so they'd taken that to mind when choosing it. Whoever ran this place was pretty thoughtful in his opinion.

So overall, even if he felt a bit like a fish out of water at times, he was quite happy. He just needed to meet people and it would feel like home? Not that he had another home to recall, but... the feeling of being out of place would go away. He wouldn't feel that empty lonely feeling anymore, right? He'd already figured out that trying to meet those around him was his best course of action, which was why he was out in the main school building that day. He'd been to class, so with nothing else to do that day he was working on his own task.

Meeting someone new. Sadly, not everyone had a lighter load with being s new, so finding someone who didn't rush past in a hurry while he was still finding the words was difficult. Still, he wasn't giving up. That was accepting failure before you even tried properly. So onward to the next form, another canine it looked like? He wasn't quite sure, but maybe he'd have a chance. How had he heard someone put it earlier that day? "Ha-eh-" It didn't come out right, so he paused, frowning a bit before trying again as he drew a bit closer. "He-E?" Right. Close enough. It was a greeting after all, the other would understand right? If the words didn't help, hopefully the awkward smile on his face and wagging tail of the boy would help with showing his intentions.

He'd be his friend, right?
