"AAAAASH I AM FINE." Smoke paced back and forth, obviously pregnant and not enjoying it. "Look, I dunno, get me some... apples. Big ones. Big green apples." Something, anything to get Ash out of her hair. After all the drama about the, er, conception, somehow Smoke has convinced Ash that having children was in everyone's best interest. Now Ash had tunred into a huge babying worrywart which grated on Smoke's nerves quite a bit, hence the pacing and carrying on.

 "But-!" Ash frowned at Smoke and Smoke's uncomfortably round belly. Yes, ok, she had been fetching whatever weird food Smoke was craving at any given moment for some time now, but the more she got used to the idea of little mini-Smokes (burn the buck who had been involved, they'd all look like Smoke, goddammit) running around, the more she considered them to be hers, too. Which had brought about strange feelings Ash was not terribly accustomed to, and made her even more irritable and protective. At this point her stress levels were at an all-time high. But she knew it was useless to argue with Smoke at this point. So, with a face like thunder, she dutifully trudged off into the woods for some apples. Maybe some wood to burn, too. Yeah, just tear a big branch off an apple tree, that'd be easiest...

Starburst stood quietly on a high branch, gazing down on the toe does, listening to what they were saying. Both were obviously agitated, on edge, and she wasn't sure if she should make her presence known. She settled onto the branch and watched the flame-red doe head off into the trees, in search of apples. She considered the pregnant doe, pacing, for a moment before leaping down onto the ground, landing softly on her paws. She stared inquisitively at the doe, taking in her very pregnant belly. She projected a thought at the doe, plaintively asking, "Are you uncomfortable?"Suishii Their babies are going to be so beautiful! <3

Smoke promptly flipped the hell out. She jumped heavily to her feet, scattering loam and clods of dirt everywhere as she screamed, "ASH! ASH COME BACK! AshwhereareyouacheetahorwhateverisTALKINGTOME!" With no Ash immediately visible and not trusting herself to outrun the animal, she turned on it, shaking and snorting at it in a sort of threatening way. "Ooooh, when Ash gets back! She'll... she'll kick you! So don't eat me!"

Starburst blinked, surprised by the sudden movement and outburst, before beginning to laugh softly, which, coming out of a cheetah's mouth, sounded like a soft wuffling sound. She shook her head, smiling, which probably wasn't exactly comforting given her teeth, before saying, "Please don't be alarmed. I'm not here to eat you!""Congratulations on the babies," she projected, nodding at the doe's belly. Suishii I'm sorry! I'm laughing too hard to type properly!!!! I just keep pressing the exclamation key over and over!!!!! Okay. Okay... Reply.

"AAAAASH THE CHEETAH SAYS I'M FAAAAAAT!" Smoke sat her large rump down and cried the fakest cry ever heard in the swamp before or since. "My girlish figure! I'm sorry Ash! I've been so selfish! I wanted babies but now you'll never love me because LOOK HOW FAT I AAAAAAAM!" She obviously had some... issues to work out. Or hormones. Something. Amorpheous I'm glad you like it because I DUNNO WHAT I AM DOING :V I think Tia will post next or something

"Well, I'm glad you finally realized that!" Ash snapped back, standing at the edge of the clearing and breathing heavily. Scowling, she stalked over to Smoke, not once taking her eyes from the cheetah. It seemed it wasn't actually dangerous, but Smoke was making an awful lot of noise about it. "And what are you supposed to be, huh? Cheetahs don't usually glow."

Starburst nodded, agreeing with the doe who must be Ash. Her eyes crinkled in a smile as she answered, "You're right. I'm actually a kiokote, well, I'm part acha, but I took after my kiokote mother."

Smoke huffed in affront, apparently forgetting how the scary cheetah was going to eat her. "This is no kiokote. I can tell from the long tail and from seeing quite a few kiokote in my time." She poked her nose at the cheetah. "We're not dumb you know. We know what they look like. And they don't look like spotty glowing cats."

"Ah, you're also right, that I'm not a kiokote now, but..." she trailed off, a smile on her face before, for one strange, shifting moment she wasn't quite cheetah or kiokote, just a nebulous potentiality, and then there she stood, very much a kiokote. "I'm sorry, I still have the long tail as a kiokote."She flicked her tail at that, smile still on her face.

Ash tensed as the cheetah transformed into a kiokote, her eyes narrowing and ears flattening against her head. The cheetah had been a curiosity, and she thought Smoke had invented the conversation, but the transformation made her skin crawl. She stared at the Kiokote for a moment, and when she finally spoke, her voice was low and dangerous. "What are you?"

Starburst blinked at the two acha, a moment where she wasn't really sure what to say. She'd never had to explain what she was, well, and she was first and foremost a kiokote, but the part about being a Legendary had always seemed to occur to most kin she met even if some were more surprised than others at meeting one. Not quite certain how to proceed, especially since the scene had become distinctly hostile, she managed to say, mostly calm, but very much conflicted as to emotion since she tended towards cheerful and that seemed inappropriate, "Ah- Well, I'm a legendary."She nodded at the black doe with the bright hair, "I tend to get drawn to parents-to-be, especially those who are distressed. It's just a feeling."Suishii :c If Starburst were more sassy, this could be a really hilarious rp. Unfortunately, she's very much not the joke-y type...

Smoke hauled her ponderous butt up to a standing position and flicked her tail in Ash's direction. "Aw Ash, give the poor girl a break. I like her, weird tail and all." She then gave the strange kiokote a very frank once-over, and when Ash's attention was elsewhere, even winked, grinning. "So uh... you come here often?"

Starburst had to pause a moment, unsure exactly what was going on. It went from interrogation to... Proposition? "Uh... I don't think so? I'm not actually really sure where I am, I just followed, well, you here I guess."Her "weird tail" was very still as she tried not to venture in what might be dangerous territory.

Ash relaxed a little when Smoke stepped in, but she still eyed the Kiokote with obvious hostility. "I really don't think you should be talking to this thing, Smoke. Looks like bad news."
