It wasn't that chilly. There was the first shivery breath of fall in the air though, the first red and gold blush appearing on tree leaves. Hara Berezaiti's hands still trembled though, although it had nothing to do with cold. Instead of twisting her signet ring in circles, as had become her nervous habit, she was instead sitting on a bench with a bag beside her, with a large travel thermos and a disposable cup in her hands, filled with still steaming coco she'd made before coming out.

She wasn't here tonight to battle, though she was still taking Akido lessons. Tonight was about trying to find more of the dozens... if not hundreds of others out there who served Order, and she was paying very close attention to her ability to sense Auras, such as now.

"I can feel you there. Why don't you come have some hot coco?" She called out, toward the hint of Order aura she felt nearby. "I brought plenty."

Eden wasn't exactly creeping, per sey. In fact, she hadent even been fully aware there was another so close by. She had been walking through a little dirt path in the park, which was only separated from the main walkway by some shrubs and small trees. In fact... the other knight could probably see the irratically flickering light of her lantern through the leaves.

Eden had spent so much of her powered time simply trying to not be murdered that she still had very little skills in the way of sense aura's... she had so much learning to do it was daunting at times. She stood there, her hands clenched onto the glittering handle of her lantern, indecisive. Obviously the person knew she was there... And she sounded genuinely friendly.

It could be a trap... But as Eden focused... no... indeed the other did feel similar to the man she had met before. Camelot, yes, that was his name. The only other knight she had met...

Eden steped out from behind a tree, the light of her lantern disappearing, swallowed up by sunlight when it was out of the shadows.

" Uh... Hi " She said, giving a small smile. She wasn't naturally a shy person, but it felt strange being called out. But you know, the fact that no one was trying to kill her, or rip out starseeds, was a reassuring sign. " I would love some coco " She said, pale golden green eyes gazing at the thermos before turning back to the girl. " Thank you. "

She walked over slowly, her movements soft and dainty, like a deer walking towards a human whom she wasn't sure was a hunter or not. " I'm E... Eden " She had to stop herself. It was so hard to call herself by another name, but at the same time it felt comfortable. Like a soft shirt she had forgotten she owned but still fit perfectly.

She sat down on the bench beside Hara, watching her with wary curiosity, her impossibly long hair settling around her on the bench like a living cloak.

"I'm Hara Berezaiti." Hara offered, putting down her own cup to pour one for Eden. "You're a knight too?" She asked, handing over the cup carefully. "I thought about making it with cinnamon an hot pepper but it's just standard coco. Sorry... I didn't mean to startle you."

She understood the feeling though. 'The night was dark and full of terrors'... She'd heard that somewhere but couldn't remember where only that it fit.

"I like your little lantern."

" Nice to meet you Hara. " She said, smiling a little forlornly when the other mentioned her lantern, turning her green eyes to gaze at the finely wrought metal " Thank you, It is a pretty little thing, isn't it? " she turned her eyes back to the other knight " I love your scarf " She said, her smiling turning into an earnest one as she admired the way its sparkles caught the light, making Hara look very much like a glittering storybook princess who would take off on a magic carpet at any moment

Eden accepted the cocoa gratefully, giving it an appreciative sniff. " Thank you " One of her passions in life was cooking, and she could tell right off of the bat that Hara had taken her time and care with the beverage " And yes, to answer your question I am a knight as well. Not a terribly good one though, it would seem " She had so much to learn it was daunting. " If you had been an enemy I would have walked right past you. " She said with a sign, shaking her head a little bit.

To many bad things had happened to her in to short period of time. It made her skittish and jumpy like a young deer, bolting at the snap of a twig. She turned, letting her lantern rest on the ground at their feet, twisting her body so she sat with one leg cross demurely, or as demurely as one could in such a very short outfit. "It dosn't trouble you, sitting in such an exposed area alone at night?" She asked, her voice quiet, but filled with genuine curiosity.

All she could think of was her run-in with Merlinite. She had been in a place she had thought was considerably safer, the DCU campus grounds, which had security officers, and she had still be attacked. It just seemed like such a far mental leap, from being told as a young woman to never go to secluded areas alone at night, to actively seeking out those same places. Persephone at least she had encountered in a suburban area. She could have easily been a late night shopper... This place was so very removed from town it just seemed like they were asking for trouble.

Or maybe that was just her own mind jumping at shadows.

"Really?" Hara was flattered and a little embarassed, eyeing the scarf and the way the hints of gilt glittered in the park lights "I barely know what to do with it myself, but thank you! And um... no I guess... not as much as... other sorts of places. The park seems to be a... it's kind of a hub I guess. Lot's of senshi come through here, good ones. I've been... feeling it out for a while, off and on, so I decided to try and meet some."

She eyed her partially empty cup, and the pale curl of steam from the thick beverage.

"I guess I like knowing what's coming at me, and knowing I don't have to look for a door."

She hadn't given it much thought previously, but that was, she reasoned, exactly why she liked the place. It was open for retreat, if retreat was to be had. All you needed was speed, not the coordination to manipulate a door handle or a key.

"And I guess I'm trying to convince myself that I can be brave. I'm a very poor excuse for a knight myself." She admitted. It wasn't the shadows that could hurt you... it was the things that were in them.

She sipped at her coco, eyes briefly distant as she thought of a run down garden, a stone wall and a door, and a creeping shadow. She had stood by her princess then, without even knowing she was her princess. She'd felt scared but determined, not to run and cower, not to be powerless. Now she had more power than she had then, but she felt weaker, more vulnerable. That, she supposed, was the very definition of irony.

"Your wonder must be amazing." She commented, idly. With a name like Eden... right?
