 Danger.If Splash had bothered to inspect the hastily scratched markings on nearly every available tree, she might have known not to go prancing through alligator infested pools. But look she did not and so prance she did and it wasn’t long before hungry eyes were following her progress. A murky presence close to where Splash was living up its same. It crept closer; face appearing briefly before it disappeared beneath the murky water with barely a ripple, preparing to strike...

Danger.Feral Storm had left a warning for others to stay away. Not out of the kindness of his heart or to keep others safe from the creatures that lurked in the dirt colored lakes, but to prevent any kin from wandering into his area of the Swamp and becoming a bother to him. He hoped that today he wouldn't have to deal with some youngling that didn't know any better.
Walking through the light fog that rolled in early that morning, Storm decided to do some training. Testing his mettle against the natural predator of the kin of the Swamp was a sure way to get stronger. Searching for a scaled opponent, he was lucky enough to see one reveal it's location as it's eyes disappeared under the surface of a large pond. Now all that was left to do was wait for it to resurface.Ruriska I thought it would be clever to start mine the same way.

The alligator struck. It reared up from the water in a shower of dirt and water, jaws opened wide. Only instinct saved Splash from an untimely demise. She evaded the attack with a nimble sideways twist and a surprised shriek, but her next step went wrong and she crashed heavily down to her side, half in and half out of the water. The alligators jawed had snapped shut on nothing and now it turned with a frustrated thrash, ready for the second attempt.

Hiding in the nearby brush, Storm waited for the scaly beast to climb out. He was surprised when it jumped out, whipping about and snapping at air. Something must have caught it's attention.
Readjusting himself, Feral Storm took the opportunity to strike. In a dash, he hurled himself into it's side, but all that did was make it angry. It sprinted at him and snapped, but Storm moved in a deft motion and delivered a hard kick to one of the scaled eyes.
Knowing the danger he faced, Storm immediately distanced himself from the alligator and readied himself to strike again. It would be needed however, as the monster gave up and returned to hiding in it's Swampy pool of water.
Feeling accomplished, Feral Storm turned around to leave the area, only to come face to face with another creature of the Swamp. One that was possibly more dangerous than an alligator, and she was covered in bright shades of green and blue.

Bright shades of green and blue... and brown. During the brief fight Splash had regained her hooves and had retreated to safe ground. Mud covered one whole side of her body and was splattered across her nose. She was staring at the buck, her eyes wide. Her breath went quickly in and out a few times, as if she was rapidly changing her mind about what she wanted to say just as she was about to say it. The Acha doe peeked behind him towards the pool and back at the buck, before finally uttering one very bight, enthusiastic word. "Hi!"

One word, one word was all it took to turn this strong, stoic buck into a trembling mess on the inside. He did his best to hold his composure, leaving only his eyes to panic at the doe's presence.
"What do you want," he questioned, using the most uncaring tone he could muster in the moment as he turned away from her in an effort to escape.Ruriska finally...sorry about taking so long.

The doe tilted her head. "What do I want? Ooh, I like this game!" She moved towards him as his turned, prepared to follow him wherever he went. "I want everyone to be happy. I want a flock of songbirds. I want to have lots of babies one day. I want to eat a mango. I want to fly. I want to know what clouds tastes like." She looked quite pleased with her answer. "What do you want?"

Maybe it was his anger towards her, or possibly her infectious perky attitude; maybe even a mix of the two. Whatever it was, something drove him to respond to her question as he started off towards a dryer location in search of food.
"I want everyone to pay attention to their surroundings. I want to be stronger," he turned around and noticed the bright doe following him, "I want to be left alone." Storm picked up speed a little, hoping she would just give up and search for another victim.Ruriska I love Splash's attitude!

"Okay," she responded, though what exactly she was 'okaying' wasn't clear and she sped up when Storm did, easily keeping pace with light, prancing steps. "What do you want to be stronger for?" She asked as she moved her head rapidly from left to right. "Look there! A bird!" Splash smiled triumphantly. She was great at paying attention.

Feral Storm sighed heavily to himself. Why did he have to decide to challenge an alligator today? Why couldn't he have paid more attention to his surroundings? Maybe if he had, he could've just turned around, and hoped that the little acha would've made it out alive.
He ignored her question, responding with one of his own, "Do you see anything special about the trees around these parts?"

The Acha continued to prance, smiling brightly. This Kimeti was full of heaps of fun questions. “They’re very pretty trees,” she concluded after a few glances at their surroundings. Splash couldn't see exactly what could be special about them other than that, so she waited and watched her new best friend, expecting him to supply the information.

Feral Storm shook his head, "they're all marked." He made his way closer to one of the trees with said mark. Without looking back at the bright kin he continued, "see. This area is dangerous." He didn't share with her what in this area was dangerous, hoping her imagination would scare her away.

The doe approached to inspect the markings, making thoughtful little noises and then nodding. She did this for quite a good amount of time before giving the buck a suddenly apologetic smile. "I don’t get it." Sarano_Krem Sorry Feral. xD You are so derp, Splash.

This was becoming aggravating. How could she not understand the concept of danger? Did she already forget the reptilian beast that almost ate her?
