She needed something to do. Something that didn't involve sitting in her room and staring at a wall. Or making Ren worry about her even more. But at least she was sleeping better. And if the night was rough and full of bad dreams, she'd move upstairs to Ren's room without hesitating any longer.

Which was why she had wandered down to the Monster dorm common's area to see what she could find to do with her free time. Or someone to talk with.

She was bored and feeling a little lonely. And Ren was busy and Tybalt... well, she hadn't talked with her best friend for a while. Something she probably needed to look into doing. She missed him.

LW sighed and shook herself - like a wet dog - and smacked at her face a couple times. Right. She was looking for something to do. Not remind herself about what she wasn't doing. The she-wolf looked down at the sheet of paper in front of her with a half written letter to her family. Tail twitching, she went back to finishing her letter. Before she ended up getting several letters from her brothers, asking why she hadn't written them lately.

Or they wrote Ren to tease him. Again.

Afternoon? Night? It really didn't matter that much. Simply had spent most of the day, as far as she knew, buried in her pile of fluff and napping. It had been comfortable among all of the blankets and her vaisels had complained when she moved, so despite her usual surplus of energy she hadn't been too inclined to move. Still, she'd eventually woken up again after dozing off, and too much was too much. So entirely recharged a bit too hyper for her own good, she dg herself out from the nest of blankets she left in a pile in the corner for napping on(it was really more comfortable) and allowed a yawn to escape her mouth as she stretched idly before flicking her tail and making for the door. There was, of course, the chorus of chirping meows from the fellow fluffy magnets which were offered a light wave. "I gotta go outside for a while sometimes~." Her voice was sing song as she hushed them before closing her door.

Down the hall, a flight of stairs, and toward the exit she moved, steps quick and with a bit of a hop as she went. Actually, it was a pretty good day. The nap wasn't so bad and everything was in one piece, so... well she had no complaints. Not that she really ever did, but really. Today, she decided, was just a fabulous day. And it could only get better.

Which was why, when she spotted a rather bright figure she hadn't met in the lobby scribbling away at something on her way to the main doors she paused, the short werefox flicking her tail idly. The ghoul was another monster obviously, but wasn't too different from herself. Which was a good thing, and just made her more interesting. Which was why, less then stealthily, she sidled over. She was convinced she should share her rather 'stupendous' day with the ghoul. But what was she doing?

Well. Best to just ask. "What's that a letter? Why're you writing a letter? Isn't it easier to go see the person?" There wasn't any real judgement in her tone, just curiosity as she tried to edge closer to look, beaming sunshine brighter than the pumpkin sun the entire time.

She had heard various monsters come and go about their business as she sat there, pondering what to write. And then started to scribble something down. Mostly that she was still alive, still completing her studies (and not spending all her time with Ren), and missed them all. At least, that was the gist of the first letter she wrote. However the one she now worked on was a little more in depth about everything she'd recently dealt with and how she was definitely tired of all this chaos.

Her parents wouldn't see this letter. Only her brothers.

Who seemed to get a kick out of hearing what sort of trouble their baby sister got into! Especially when she didn't think it was quite so funny.

And then there was suddenly someone behind her and LW jumped slightly, twisting around to stare at... a pointy eared and fluffy student. The she-wolf blinked, never having seen this ghoul before! A grin sprang along her lips as she nodded. "Yep. It's a letter to my brothers. And normally, ya, it's easier to tell them in person. But not my brothers." She snickered. "It's really hard to talk to all of them at the same time."

Stretching, LW set her snake pen down and rolled up her letters before turning to face the ghoul. "I've never met you before! I'm LW. What sort of creature are you?" She asked, nose wrinkling. "Not a wolf like me." But something similar!

A letter to her brothers? Well, that was something the ghoul could relate to to a degree. Not the writing part. Her family might have been struck down and dissipate if Simply had enough sense to write a letter to them for once, but brothers. Oh, she had those. Crazy younger... and older? Yea, she was pressure sure there was a few older ones. They could certainly be a handful, but that was all fine. She liked them all the same, and it seemed this ghoul did as well. So certainly they could get along. Her tail flicked happily as she leaned closer again, even as the letter was being tucked away. "Mine are crazy too. You practically have to pin them down or they don't listen, right?" She chimed, tilting her head a bit to one side.

Both ears perked up at the mention of having not met the fellow monster before as she nodded. It was a sad fact, but there were a lot of them. So it was to be expected a bit. "I'm Simply, it's nice to meet you!" She chimed, pausing briefly at the look on the ghoul's face before grinned and flicking one of her rather oversized ears and standing a bit proudly at that point. "I'm a fox. Different, but close. A werefox to be exact." She nodded rather soundly, tapping her chest slightly. "Big, scary, and frightening like a good werebeast of course." She added, looking... less than intimidating with her short stature and the big smile on her face.

"So quite similar to you wolves, but different." As if it needed to be stated. With that cleared up, and the fact the other ghoul wasn't going to pick up pen again to go back to work obvious, Simply decided it was high time to find a chair to flop on nearby. Which is exactly what she did, pulling her legs up onto the chair with her as she leaned forward a bit. "So writing letters, that mean you're homesick or something?" She'd heard about that once, people wanting to go home because it was too different. Was LW struck with one of those cases? That'd be a bit sad, but sometimes things just happened.

Still, it was yet to be proven, so for the moment, Simply was all ears.

Where Simply's family may not have ever expected the ghoul to write a letter to them, LW's would be calling or sending her most obnoxious brothers knocking on her door if they didn't hear something from her! Especially if it gave them an excuse to come tease her and Ren more. Mostly Ren. Which only made the she-wolf's lips quirk up thinking about. "Oh my Jack, yes! Though my older brothers still don't listen even if I manage to pin them down." She sighed at this. Sometimes, being a little wolf sucked.

LW spun in her chair so she was able to properly see the ghoul, sitting backwards in said chair. She smelled sweet with a hint of the spice LW had come to associate with any 'were' creature. Seeing Simply stand a bit proudly, the she-wolf giggled. And then her eyes brightened and her own tail wagged. A werefox! They were totally very similar! "Eee a fox?! Totally close enough to a wolf!" And then she was giggling some more. "Of course~!" She teased, not fitting that description quite so well herself. Although LW liked to argue she had gotten much better and scarier! Maybe. Hopefully.

She twisted back around to sit more properly, though her own legs were folded beneath her, as Simply sat down beside her. Her question got an amused grin. Homesick? Nah, not her! "I'm sure that's why some creeple might write a letter, but in my case, no. My brothers just like to get letters telling them all about the juicy gossip." She snorted at this. "And if I don't write them a letter within a feasible amount of time, they'll come check on me. Which is them really just looking for an excuse to come pick on me and my boilfriend." Not that they ever needed much of one. But she was good about writing those letters! At least then, her father kept them from running in to play Big Bad Brother Wolf.

"What about you? Do your siblings expect letters? Or threaten to come tease you?"
