During her travels she was trying to get stronger, true it wasn't as if she was crazy about the idea of murdering a bunch of small creatures in order to achieve her goal. But she knew if she came across her father Burrom he was a very strong and skilled spear man, she wouldn't stand a chance against him. At least in her mind she couldn't. Burrom was a very intimidating man, and he had been all her life. The fact she now had come to the conclusion that he should die by her hands still had her gripping with the idea of her being the one to end his life. Yes she wanted to do it, she figured if she was a mistake then him raising her was his mistake.
Lost in her thoughts it didn't occur to her that that perhaps she should be paying more attention to her surroundings than her thoughts. A dragon had been stalking her thinking she was easy prey given her distracted state. Tilawen only felt that tingle of danger a moment before it lept, half turning her expression showing only mild surprise as she brought about her staff.
Jaws were open to take a large bite out of the girl, only to be surprised as a ball of fire was hurtled in its direction. Both girl and dragon made a last desperate attempt to dodge out of the way. The dragon managed to avoid a large portion of the flames though it scrabbled for purchase as it landed on the ground. Turning only to find more fire being flung in its direction.
Tilawen was probably very tired of having dragons thing she was the perfect snack, too many times had she been hunted by a Ysala dragon when she was younger. It made it so that her distaste for dragons was rising. Of course her belief that she shouldn't exist didn't help things, you'd think she'd want dragons trying to kill her. But for now she had other important things to do, like kill her father...then she would probably just...
What would she do once she accomplished that? Look for her mother? The idea hadn't really crossed her thoughts. She would need to get more information from her father if that was the case. Like the woman's name.
Brought back out of her thoughts she frowned as the dragon continued dismally trying to attack her. Perhaps she was feeling a bit arrogant but the dragon wasn't entirely a challenge and soon the thing was whimpering on the ground trying to drag its wounded body away though the young woman wasn't about to allow that. Walking up to the rather burnt creature she gave it a impassioned look over before taking the butt of her staff against its ribcage.
The Ayrala dragon hissed and flinched back before it began to writhe in pain as it was burned from the inside out. It gave a final shriek in pain as it then crumbled away into ash and dust, leaving behind a dragon orb that Tilawen reached down to grab. It was a horrible way to die, to be burned from the inside out and yet Tilawen didn't look the slightest perturbed by it.
It had been something she had been working on with plants for the most part and it was more efficient at getting rid of bodies that way. Tucking the orb into a pouch she continued on her way, all that remained off the dragon was a small pile of ash and bone that soon crumbled away into dust. The girl still had lots of ground to cover if she wanted to reach Junjie's house and these interruptions were irritating.
