XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX The people here have been tormented by the monsters of Val'Ghast for a very long time. When Amaranthine began to grow overwhelmed by Wurms, they stopped sending aid to their outlying towns. That was about when the torment started for these people. Since then, they've been raided by horrible monsters for years and years. The town is practically led by children, as most are killed before they can become of age. It's believed that the only reason they haven't been wiped out is because they're a 'reserve' source of food. While in the town, you are fairly safe. However, try to venture into the outlying territory, and you're bound to run into all sorts of beasts. Roll a d6 upon exiting the town. The goal is to find the broodmother and kill her, which would annihilate all of the monsters that surround the city. At 10 points, you will discover her location. 1: You find no monsters, and can continue on. [+1] 2: You discover a weak group of Arachnic Assassins, about 4 to be precise. Upon killing them, you gain [0.5] points. 3: You fight an Arachnic Lord, and he seems to be guarding a shortcut to the broodmother's location. Upon killing him, you gain [1.5] points. 4: You get lost. [0 points] 5: Two Arachnic Lords show up, ambushing you. When you kill them, you gain [1] point towards discovering the broodmother. 6: You find no monsters, and can continue on to a shortcut. [+1.5] Upon discovering the broodmother and killing her, the first phase of the mission to liberate the coast of Amaranthine is complete. Upon finishing all of the three phases, Kirin will gain Expert rank.

A place the mechanist thought he would never truly visit even with a group of well trained men. Moving across the shore lines he glanced around the place wondering what in gods name was living here. Raphael had said that a series of villages had been placed around near the shoreline but all he could some from here was ruins of old buildings and overgrowth in the distance. Builder walked slowly beside him as they made it up shore with his Visor slamming shut as he was ready as his master to get this show on the road. It was interesting fact that he only brought builder with him but their was a reason. First was he wanted to Builder to learn to fight a single unit and gain condince in himself before he was allowed to roam. Secondly to show Raphael that Builder and Kirin were a force all on their own. Holding his hilt of Konpeki as waited for Raph he wondered what he would face.

X The shoreline was always terrifying to him. It reeked of Mermaids, the creatures that constantly looked to destroy Aramil. He preferred to stay away from it, as you never knew what was creeping beneath the waves. "Kirin..." He glanced at his Captain, the only other he'd brought with him. "I'm bringing you here with me because I trust your abilities. You're... like my legacy. You know this, yes?" He smiled slightly, then knelt over to examine the sort of footprints he'd seen sprawled throughout the floor. Looked like arachnics, if he'd ever seen any. "I'm going to tend to the villagers. I know that some of them are still alive, but they hide. It's important that we can establish trust with them, and I'm the best person to do that. Perhaps in the world, even." While his... reputation wasn't glorious, he had this habit of charming the pants off of people. Sadly, it'd be more complicated than that, since these people were all bratty children. "You should go fight. I will follow after your lead when I'm done. Expect me in an hour or so." While setting up a 'net' was important, it was best to clear them out for now. Doing heavy work on the town would take time, and that gave the beasts plenty of hours to prepare and then strike. It'd be better to catch them while they were disorganized.

The grip on the hilt of his blade tightened as he heard the words of Raphael echo towards him, speaking about how he trusted his abilites and how he was some sort of legacy. What did the man mean by legacy? The smile coming from the man was welcoming and something would return with one of his own but sadly would not be shown through his hel. Thou Kirin picked up what the king was doing as well, there was tracks of some kind of beast on the shore which was nothing he could take lightly at this time. Glancing down at Builder he would clench his fist closing it to his chest and sudden shoot his arm out with three fingers signaling his wolf to scout out the foreword area of advance. Raph had the people to deal with and Kirin had to deal with the monsters. Fitting. "Seems like the best plan. I will make sure to make this as painless as possible as possible. Good Luck my Lord." he said shortly and started off in the direction where builder was heading. Both had each other link up via comm system that made sure that they would know what was going on between each other. Sword off the blade he would go off into a stead run knowing he would have to get this done quickly

Builder had scouted ahead with his inferd vision scanning the area before finally turning back on his master to see four beings heading his way. Builder's voice would echo into the hel of kirin along with updating his HUD on the positions of the four beings. Kirin did not stop his movement knowing that any sigh would give off them knowing he knew they were there. Builder would keep his eye on the event making sure his master had updates on their movements

The creatures recognized that they had been noticed, as the movement ahead stopped. That was fine. They had no need to continue to press forward, as they weren't here for offense, but rather to protect the brood. Two of the assassins burrowed underground, and two jumped up into the trees, waiting to descend down upon anyone who came closer. All the while, two crystal butterfly fluttered towards Kirin. They looked like diamonds but with butterfly wings; beautifully strange little creatures. The butterfly seemed friendly, and it became obvious that they wanted to make a perch on Kirin's shoulders. Fluttering closer to his upper body, the Arachne watched in disinterest, but also suspense.

Something was very odd about all of this because these were two of the beings that were on Builder's Scans which made things abit more... uneasy. If these things were the only thing he had to worry about than he had no problem getting whatever beast was in his way. His comm echoed over to Builder whom remained hidden from afar. "Builder keep your eyes on the prize. Hostile beings." he said rather bluntly as he started to pull out one of his steel combat knives. Gripping it in a reverse holding he would quickly slash the at the two butterflies hoping to destroy them both. This was just plain annoying honestly, he knew the other beings were waiting they needed to stop their hiding and face him

Aw, so the cute little butterflies didn't work. Oh well. It was apparent that all of the insect-type monsters were sort of cajones, all working together to dominate their part of Val'Ghast. The human in front of them was threatening that balance, and so he had to be stopped. But they could be as patient as their body allowed them to be. However, the ones that burrowed below got impatient. A sign that Raphael was right; they really had no restraint. They continued to burrow, perhaps completely unknown to Kirin, until they were very close to him. At that point, they rose from the ground, and the airborne ones followed after, gliding down from their spot on the trees to assault the mechanist. Now would probably be a good time to go all-out. He had two in front of him, and two swooping down from the sky.

The teeth on the visor had closed shut and his HUD lit up like northern lights as he started to see what was going on.He had movement under him that was only confirmed by Builder's scans as well wit the Zoom Scope he had locked on the area. Two forming infront of him and two that were coming down at him from the sky. This was almost too easy for him in a sense as spun the knife quickly in his right hand by the time they had started to make their acsent up from the ground. His knife would quickly launch to the flying spider to his right aimming to hit right between those pairs of eyes they had. Everything had seemed to break down rather quickly but everything had slowed down in his mind. The ones on the ground gave him a total of five seconds to react where the flying ones gave him atleast seven at this point. Three seconds, Kirin's hands both shot out to each side of him grabbing something in his hands. Second before the spiders infront of him would be able to unburrow enough to strike and four seconds before the airborne come crashing down on him. His right hand sudden sparked with raw energy as Konpeki launches from his side in a reverse holding. Kirin's right foot planted on the ball ,at a two feet distance of the burrows, would sudden spin causing his body spin slashing the this mighty blade curving to slash through these two spiders. The raw energy arcing from the blade could cut through titaninum itself making whatever natural armor they had become s**t. Around the half way point of the slash where it would be right between the two spiders before him, a purple orb was tossed into the air blinking voliently. One second, the grenade was fully prided and by the time the spiders had time to close in on him they would all be alseep if they were in a 7ft radius Skills used: Rising Tides C rank Ammo/Gear: Sleep Grenade -1 Total: Sleep:9 Inec:10 Cryo:10 Frag:50 Ammo:500 10mm AP 75 Explosive: 75

(LOL, overkill. These spiders are kinda useless. They have nothing to fight against something like a sleep grenade.)
At first the spiders were like, "Yolo." And then they were like, "Ohno." And then they got killed.

(Ew, why did the god of rolls bring another boring arachnic assassin encounter.)
These four spiders had watched their allies be murdered. They didn't plan on making the same mistake as them. Instead, they spat webs at him from afar, and inside of the dense white liquid were many blades wishing to impale him. If he was caught in the web, he'd be stabbed from many sides, and then made to be their prey.
