Gaia name: Praxius the Mad

Character Name: Jackson Decker

Codename: Ignition

Age: 18

Alignment: None to speak of; acting as a vigilante.

Personality: Brash, confident, and maybe a bit too ambitious for his own good, Jackson seems to embody fire in more ways than one. He has a passion for reaching his single goal; becoming a true superhero in the eyes of the public. He believes he has what it takes to singlehandedly change the view of the public on Advanced Humans and become something of a celebrity, and generally gets ahead of himself when it comes to this belief. Despite how arrogant he can seem, he is far from stupid, and can be rather pragmatic in combat, showing he understands the limits of his powers. Jackson is also no simple punk looking for attention; he does care for the everyday man, woman, or child he sets out to save each night, and is willing to sacrifice quite a lot for others.

Appearance:
Normal: Jackson is a rather normal-looking sixteen-year-old, standing at 5'8" and weighing around 135 pounds. He has a slightly tanned skin-tone, light brown hair that is frequently a mess, despite how short he keeps it. He wears casual clothes, generally torn jeans and a t-shirt, along with ruggedly worn shoes and jackets.

Plasma Form: After seeming to shift his skin and muscle into an eerie blue fire, Jackson resembles a somewhat demonic skeleton, only with completely black bones, which he generally shifts into a more sold, less skinny-looking frame. The transformation has a tendency to surge the area around him in fire, which usually burns off his shirt and shoes, though he makes sure to keep his pants stable during the shift.

Powers:
Living Plasma Form: Jackson's main power resides in his ability to convert his muscles, skin, and other organs into an energy-based, psionically-contained blue fire which retains the cohesive shape of his actual body. His bones do not appear to shift into plasma, instead becoming mineral-like, but Jackson shows a degree of control over the shapes of his bones when he initiates the transformation into plasma-form. His natural body temperature rises and lowers with his conscious control in this form, meaning he will not constantly burn anything he touches so long as he keeps his plasma temperature low. Other powers his plasma form grants him are:

-Pyrokinesis: Jackson can generate and absorb large amounts of heat and fire directly into his form while constituted of plasma. He has proven his ability to blast fire from his hands, mouth, and body as a whole, as well as absorb a large fire simply by walking through it. He can naturally creature fire enough to burn flesh and char bone, and can intensify the heat enough to incinerate certain materials with enough focus.

-Limited Intangibility: While in his plasma form, all the non-bone parts of Jackson's body consist solely of plasma, and can thus be pierced very easily with no harm to him. However, since his form must retain cohesion to allow him to transform back, each "bone" in his body must remain in the proper orientation within the plasma silhouette. Bullets and similar projectiles, however, are of little threat to him.

-Limited Flight: By means of creating jets of fire from his hands and feet, Jackson can take to the air for a limited duration; reaching a maximum altitude before engaging a sort of afterburner to glide.

Weaknesses:
Mortal Constitution: Jackson's ability to use his powers is based on his current physical, mental, and emotional well-being. With sufficient force, he can weakened and killed.

Conscious Emotional Balance: Since Jackson's plasma-fire heat is a conscious aspect of his physiology, he must remain wary of his current heat or risk burn things around him.

Excessive Hydration: Being a being made entirely of fire-like energy when in his plasma-form, Jackson can be taken down very quickly by being forcefully drenched in water. He can recover, but the energy it takes to reignite his flames drains him of further energy.

Bio: As a child in California, Jackson grew witnessed the early beginnings of a new age of superheroes in his home universe. The actions of superpowered beings always mystified him, and he was among the few he was aware of who actually wished themselves to be one of the humans born with strange mutations that made them Advanced Humans (also called "Advies" by the general populace). This fascination was constantly berated by his parents, who wished their son would focus on less controversial interests. These judgmental hopes were dashed when, around the time Jackson turned sixteen, he woke up one morning to find he'd burned his bed to a pile of ash, and scorched most of his room. Rushing to a mirror, he found his face now a shifted, face-like skull. After resuming his human form and explaining the situation to his parents, they pleaded for him to keep from using his new found abilities.

Finding he had little other option, Jackson agreed... Only to please his parents. However, as soon as he could, he began sneaking out at night to explore the limits of his powers. During one such outing, looking out over the Ventura skyline, he decided that if the popular Circle of Heroes pantheon of superhumans could make such a name for himself, surely he could as well. Choosing the handle "Ignition", Jackson has now set off to make himself a household name, and blaze his own trail.

Extra: Ignition's origins are in my personal superhero universe, Ultimas, and therefore has no connection to the Marvel, DC, or Elkwood universes.
