Rordan Cormick Mcallister stared at the front gate of Amityville Academy like it was the most pungent disturbing thing he had ever seen. Though to be fair, he came from a long line of puca demons that thought themselves to be the master of their race.
His lip curled a little, ear flicking a bit before wandering into the school. He heard he was suppose to be part of a new class of students, but to be honest since he was among hundreds of other kids, he didn't see how he'd be much newer compared to everyone else.
The lip curling turned to a friendly enough smile, thinking of all the tricks he'd learn from this place. Surely the school would teach him more than that of his outdated family line.
"Finally...." Freedom to do what he did best. His hands tucked in his pockets as he whistled his way over to the dorm buildings.

Mayaa knew her way around now, really. So she knew that this time she was in the demon dorms and NOT the monster dorms. But she came here for a reason, which was to look for Draven, and to thank him for helping her find her room and unpack. And maybe hang out with him because she was bored. The only thing was that she didn't actually know where his room was, so she was randomly knocking on doors and harassing pretty much every demon to ask if they knew where she might find a dark-haired boil with wings.
It probably didn't help that her description was stupidly vague, and so she sat down, leaning against one of the doors, dejected, until she heard whistling, and turned her head to see someone approaching. Oh! Maybe they knew Draven. If not, well, perhaps they wouldn't mind hanging out with her.
And so she bounded up to the student, beaming.
"Hi! Do you know where-" she paused, studying him closely, and then clapped her hands together gleefully. "You have the same colour eyes and hair as me! And you're wearing green! This must be destiny."
She clearly had a one-track mind.

Cormick stopped midstep, his whistling dying off as a little harpy thing came up to him. First thought was: Ew a monster, do they really have those here? before remember that he wasn't in the safety of demons anymore. All of the species were here. And with his attire and ears and tail, most of the species would probably mistake him for a monster.
How low class.
"No I don't know where-" He was still somewhat smiling at her, maybe if he friendly she would leave.
Nope, no such luck. His eyes narrowed.
"Yeah we got the same colorings Birdbrain, but that doesn't mean anything." He sidestepped her, "You're a monster and I am a demon and the only destiny we got is that of me walking away now. Farewell Birdie."
Well that solved his first problem of school right? Well handled if he said so himself. Which he did.

B-Birdbrain?
Mayaa's lips quivered slightly as she watched the boil walk away, wrapping her arms around herself. T-that wasn't very nice. Then again, she supposed she did point out something rather silly. He could see what she looked like also, so of course he already knew. And maybe... maybe he was just having a bad day. She knew her brother sometimes called her bird brain when he was frustrated she couldn't understand one of his riddles, but he usually apologized after. So that was the case with this student, right? Right?
Sorry Cormick, you're not getting away that easily.
She quickly went after him, reaching out to tug on one of his sleeves.
"Ah, wait! I didn't get to introduce myself. My name's Mayaa, not birdbrain, hehe. And sorry, I was just excited. And one of the first students I met was actually a demon! So that clearly means we can be friends, right?"
She stared at him with an expectant look, expecting a positive answer.

He was just about to pick up his tune again when she followed him.
Geez, talking about not taking the hint. He turned his head over his shoulder with a cheerful grin.
"I much prefer birdbrain. It's got a little nice jingle when I look at you." He casually tugged his sleeve away, Mayaa. Like he cared about her name or whatever. He wasn't here to make friends unless they were other influential demon families. That'd be better, and he'd make his family proud.
But not if he was talking to a monster.
"Oh that so? And so your like what....stalking him here now?" Cormick gave her a raised brow, "Where did that logic come from, I'm not going to friends with a monster-" It was followed by a scoff, "You guys have like the worse hygiene and stuff. Look you sure you aren't mistaking your 'friend' for one of your kind?" He honestly couldn't see another demon making time with a monster. In fact, he couldn't see why a demon would make any time with another other species besides maybe reapers.

She tilted her head, giving him a puzzles look. A nice jingle? W-well, if he liked it, maybe it was ok... she just had to get used to it, and not let it affect her. Yes, positive thinking!
Her puzzled expression turned to one of surprise when he mentioned stalking.
"Oh, no, no! I'm not stalking him. That would mean he doesn't like me following him. Besides, I don't actually know where he is right now, so that doesn't really count as stalking."
Cue innocent smile.
Though when he said he wasn't going to be her friend, her smile was gone, and she almost wailed, until he mentioned her hygiene.
"Hey! I'm clean! I take a bath everyday! And, well, if I had a beak, I would preen my feathers, but I don't, so sometimes I just use a comb and brush it. I guess I could ask Treat to do it for me, but asking one of my pets to groom me would be really weird I suppose. I can promise you I'm not dirty though. I even took a bath before I came. Look! No dirt!"
She lifted one of her feet to show him, not realizing that she was probably unintentionally panty flashing him considering how short her skirt was.
When he mentioned her mistaking her friend for a monster, she lowered her foot and gave him a sheepish look.
"W-well, I thought he was a harpy at first, but he's actually a raven... um..." she frowned, trying to remember.
"A raven mocker, yes!"
She beamed, happy that she remembered. She deserved a pat on the back ok.

"Birdbrain, when you are walking around the demon dorms, with a vague idea of where you are going, searching for a guy you just met, with only his name to go by....That's called stalking." His ear flicked again, mostly because was this ghoul stupid? He wondered. "And whether or not he knows or not is up to debate. For all I know, he does know and he's hiding out from you."
He stared down at her raised foot, then back up to her and snorted. "Look I am not looking down at your foot for your cleanliness, seriously put that away." Jack damn, broads around this place were sure presistent in their talking.
This is why he was being mean, this ghoul was giving him a headache. This was suppose to be his first day okay. A brilliant first day. Now it seemed like he was humoring and/or babysitting some lost little harpy.
"So you did mistake him for another birdbrain, I am sure that the apt phrase would be 'birds of stupid, flock together.' " Yeah, nailed that.
"Raven mocker?" Oh now that piped his interest. He'd never met a Raven mocker. A superior demon race. It must've felt bad for the little birdbrain ghoul here and talked to her once and now suddenly..."Still can't help you with that Birdie, since I just got here. Plus I got better things to do. Need to get myself acquainted with the school, get a feel for the classrooms, stop wasting time to you."
His tail might of swung low, curling around his leg. His ears though remained upright and alert.

If Mayaa was smarter, she would have rebuttled that stalking meant she was doing it stealthily (which she was anything but) and that it would have meant it was unwanted attention (which may have been true but she didn't want to acknowledge that). Instead, she only pouted at the Puca, shifting uncomfortably.
"D-Draven wouldn't do that... he would tell me if he didn't want to see me..." Her tail drooped, and had she had ears, they would have been flattened against her head, ashamed that she might have been bothering her friend.
But then she perked up when he mentioned a saying (and he said it wrong too, hehe!) and beamed.
"I think it's supposed to be 'birds of a feather stick together', which means Draven and I are really really good friends!"
She was such a smart cookie.
But then her new friend (you were a friend now Cormick, no getting rid of her) started walking away, afraid he'd still be grumpy the rest of the day. That wouldn't do!
She bound after him, making sure not to touch his clothes in case he got mad again, and only followed behind, hands behind her back as she then realized something.
She never got his name.
"Hey, um, Mr. Demon rabbit sir, I... never did get your name. But um, if you're scared of me, I promise I'm not scary. I, uh, I do eat rabbits, but, I promise not to eat you. I would never eat another student!"Nyxtsuki Moon idk what to do with her :T

First day, First day.
He had to remember this was his first day. And his first day was not to get any trouble with anybody.
But this bird.
"I think you need to realize what sarcasm is birdbrain, before you try to correct me." Cormick crossed his arms under his chest and decided that the best course of action was to keep being mean until she left.
"I think you have some delusions about this Draven of yours ghoulie." Cormick blinked slowly, "Just like you don't think you're stalking, now you think he's in love with you. You got a lot of assumptions Birdbrain."
He stilled again, looking at Mayaa as if she spouted the worst insult he'd ever heard.
"I...." He paused, "Am not a Rabbit."
"I am a dog."

He should have ran when he had the chance. But knowing Mayaa, it probably wouldn't do much good.
She only tilted her head at him, frowning slightly. Correct him? Sarcasm? Oh! He was just teasing her, of course! He wouldn't want to make her sad, since he was such a nice boil, at least to her. Everyone seemed nice to her.
Then he mentioned something about him being hers and love, and she only gave him a confused look.
"Hmm? Draven doesn't belong to me. Draven is Draven's! He's just one of my soon to be many friends!"
It was her first day-ish too ok, she was in the process of befriending the whole school, one student at a time.
"And, well, I like him as a friend! I think he does too. Papi would get mad if I stared dating. Something about me being too young for pumpkins."
More innocent and oblivious smiles.
And then her eyes widened.
"OH WOW YOU'RE A PUPPY?"
Forgetting her rule of no touch (or was it his rule...), she reached out and touched his ears, giggling as she felt how soft they were.
"But you have such long ears! And well, I guess bunnies have shorter tails."
A gasp.
"Are you half bunny half puppy?!"

"I still feel like you don't get the concept I am speaking of birdbrain." Oh man this was giving him a headache. "You're papi would be right or whatever, Except replace pumpkins with too stupid to even realize what dating is. Jack ghoulie, The way you keep spouting Draven this and Draven that makes you seem a little obsessed."
Her reaction.
It was not what he wanted. His face went from frown to snarl.
"I am not a puppy either, I am a dog." He tried to move away from her obviously roaming hands, but was too late as she grabbed his ears. He did not feel pleasure from the touch either, reaching up to smack her hands away.
"Whoa Birdbrain, these ears are too high out of your price range to touch....."
He rolled his eyes, bring his ears down to cover them with his hands so she didn't get any ideas again.
"Yeah birdbrain, you figured it out. I am a cross between a rabbit and a dog. Good for you, Gold Star. Can you go away now?" He waited now, expecting her to leave.

Mayaa only smiled at him, still oblivious to the fact that he was trying to insult her. Had he been able to head her thoughts, the only thing he'd hear would be the words "NEW FRIEND" on repeat.
"Oh, I know what dating is! It's when you spend lots and lots of time with someone you like and you do fun stuff together! But Papi says the purpose of dating is that you plan to spend forever with that person and make pumpkins! Or, uh, that's what he said. He said it's not good to have many mates but I know it's happened before and..." She gave him a sheepish look. "It can get very confusing. I know one of my friends is still trying to figure out who her papi is."
And then she beamed again.
"But of course I'm obsessed with Draven! He's so cool! And, and, oh! Do you want to hear a secret?"
She didn't give him a chance to respond as she leaned in REALLY close, eyes wide as if she was sharing a really REALLY big secret with a best friend. Yes Cormick you had potential to be best friend material.
"Draven's one of the first students I met when I first came here for a school festival! Um, Fright Night, I think. It was really fun! His booth had all these fish, and you had to go find coins in the tanks! I accidentally touched poop, which was really REALLY icky, and I wasn't allowed to eat them, though I guess that makes sense, since I'd be kind of sad if someone ate my minipets, but I had a lot of fun, and then I ran into him again, and he saved me from Trick! No one stands up to Trick, since he's really mean and likes to bite, but he was really cool and-"
It didn't seem like she was going to stop anytime, until he mentioned he was a hybrid, and-
"GOLD STAR?"
Her eyes got even wider... if such a thing was possible.
Where was her gold star, Cormick, you mentioned shinies. She's not leaving until she got a gold star.

Jack ******** Pumpkin sticks.
This chick was crazy. He heard of these ones. They were overly happy, they had bubbles and sunshine and probably dreams of worms and stick nest flapping around in that little skull of hers.
Her estimation of dating was pretty right on, though he didn't think you had to be with the person FOREVER. Damn that would suck. Stuck with the same old broad forever, not fun.
"You're friend sounds like she needs to have a real sit down with her very well traveled mother and find out." It wasn't phrased nicely, but it got his point across. he knew his mom and his dad. Both of them could be okay, but they were worse than he was kind of grumpy.
"No." His answer to her question of secret was TOTALLY ignored. Why was she doing this, really. He didn't want to know.
"Birdbrain...." He whispered back. "I don't care."
"JACK!" He jumped at her screech, "I don't actually have one. I was being SARCASTIC...AGAIN."
Okay no he needed to go.
"Okay well this has been a giant waste of my time so I am going to find my dorm and you can go find your little draven and peace Birdbrain." Escape plan was a go as he shifted into a brown large dog and bounded away from her.
He was not a rabbit jackdamnit. Not yet at least.

Don't forget sparkles, rainbows, and unicorns. She never saw a unicorn. She wanted to see a unicorn.
She nodded, a sad smile on her face.
"Yah, but her mom always seems to change the topic, or avoid it altogether. At least that's what she tells me. But I think it's because she forgot, because she made so SO many good friends!"
... if good friends meant unfaithful males. Perhaps she did try to settle down, but had trouble. Perhaps Mayaa was a bit too optimistic about the whole thing.
She giggled at his reaction, but when he mentioned a lack of shiny substance, her pout was quite visible, on edge of breaking out into a wail. YOU PROMISED HER A GOLD STAR. FRIENDS DON'T BREAK PROMISES.
And then she watched him shapeshift and run off. This itself was a terrible mistake. For two reasons.
One. He promised her a gold star. AND HE WAS RUNNING AWAY NOW.
Two. Her most favourite game was tag.
She flapped her arms and pushed her legs forward, feet shifting more talon-like as she used them to propel herself forward, tucking them underneath her as her arms turned into wings, each beat letting her gain speed until she wasn't far behind the puca.
"Wait! I never got your nameeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee"

"I bet she does." Cormick snorted, "Yes very GOOD GOOD FRIENDS Birdbrain." This mother sounded terrible. At least Cormicks wasn't so friendly. Of his parents, his mother was the stern with dry humor kind of demon.
As he bounded away, making it somewhere to the middle of the dorms, he stopped to look over his shoulder, worried that the ghoul would decide to follow him.
And look at that, she was following him.
"STOP FOLLOWING ME." he turned the corner, sliding, "I DON'T HAVE TO GIVE YOU MY NAME." s**t he had no idea where he was going.
