It was by no means an unusual occurrence for With Your Consent to run across strange kin while on his patrols of the Vale's borders, and it was certainly not unusual for him to disappear for a while while on his patrols. The rest of his tribe had gotten rather used to his spontaneous disappearances, however -- he always came back, after all -- and as such he had a bit of leeway with his comings and goings. This worked pretty well for Consent, because although he liked the members of his tribe, after a few weeks seeing the same 30-odd kin he began craving different company.

When he overheard a female voice, talking apparently to herself, Consent eagerly followed his ears -- and was pleasantly surprised when they led him to a rather dashingly attractive acha, perched dramatically atop a rock. His brows raised as he caught sight of her and he grinned, pleasantly, and greeted her.

"I'm sure a lady as vibrant as yourself would have no trouble with a search for comfort," he said, ducking his head to one side and looking up at her in what appeared to be a show of deference. "In fact, it's surprising to me that you're searching at all." He smiled, hoping his flattery was not misplaced. If what he had overheard was any indication, this doe seemed to have a bit of a flair for the dramatic, which he could certainly play to.

Consent chuckled as the doe attacked him with her barrage of questions, standing tall and still as she circled him, welcoming her inspection. "That's an awful lot of personal questions for a first encounter, don't you think?" he replied, grinning. "Luckily for you, however, I'm not a very private kimeti."

Only his eyes moved, following her as he continued to speak, listing off the answers to her questions as if he was taking a test, or reporting back to a superior. "I live with a tribe known as the Vale -- these are the borders of our lands. My family is strong, smart, and caring, in varying degrees within individuals. We get along as well as a family can be expected to. My mother is a prominent member of our tribe and sees her family as part of her duty to the tribe than anything else. But we are close enough. I have no children, but I am certainly not averse to the idea, and it's not from lack of...opportunity. I can run moderately fast when I need to, and I am good enough at hiding, especially in terrain I am familiar with. Those last two questions are a little suspicious." He raised his brows at the acha, still grinning. She seemed like a very interesting character, something he quite enjoyed in a companion. She had certainly caught his attention. "What exactly are you plotting?"

The buck's brows raised with amusement as he listened to the acha ramble. She was certainly an interesting one, so unlike anyone in his own family. And not bad looking at all. He was certainly not going to turn down this adventure. He lived to please, after all.

"With Your Consent," he stated in response to her question about his name, although of course it could have been an answer to the other question as well. He bowed his head to her, a half-smile still tugging at the corners of his mouth. "That's rather a forward way of asking, but I can't say I don't admire that quality. And the prize is certainly great," he continued, eyeing her over. It never hurt to flatter. "I would prefer to escape this venture with my life, however." He sank down to sit in front of her so they were more at eye level. "Will this Ash of yours really be so cruel?"

Well. This was getting more and more interesting by the second. Consent nodded his head and smiled to himself. He was certainly going to enjoy this little adventure. "Both, if you are still amenable," he replied to her question. "Though you may call me whatever you like." He shrugged, flicked an ear. "I take it this will be a ... practical ... endeavor, then?" If she wanted him to romance her, he would be more than willing, but if she simply wanted a quick fix to her childlessness he could provide that too. He was here to serve, after all.

Consent stood, laughing, and trotted after the acha. "No seduction is necessary, your charm and wit have already done the job. Lead on, my lady!" he quipped back, his long tail flicking once behind him before disappearing into the underbrush after them.
