Sailor Chibi Ixion was, though an eternal senshi, largely out of practice in the art of being one. It had been more than a year since he had last transformed. That in part, was due to spending roughly the last year and half out of the country in a boarding school. Now that he was back in Desitny City, the young senshi had been reluctant to get back into the game of fighting evil and all that jazz. It was however, not impossible for him to resist.
The boy had been going for stroll close as it was starting to get dark. He was not exactly patrolling, as he had gone out in his civilian identity. What he saw however, prompted him into action. There was rustling in the trees of the woody area of the park. As Sam crossed a bridge over a little pond towards the trees, he saw flashes of black and yellow moving between them. There was a terrible buzzing sound coming from there.
Like riding a bicycle, Sam ducked under the little bridge to transform, and emerged Eternal Sailor Chibi Ixion. Rushing to confront the thing, which he could now correctly identify as having a youma aura, Ixion found himself face to face with giant bug-like eyes. He could see himself reflected over and over in their glossy stare.
The youma was a massive wasp-like creature. It’s large clear wings kept humming; they were powerful enough to keep Ixion back, forcing him away with its windy beats. It didn’t help that the youma had a stinger that looked like it could easily pierce straight through him.
It actually wasn’t long before Ixion found himself trap against a tree with the youma looming over him; its wings beating wildly keeping him in place and it’s stringer threatening him from trying to move.

Hypnos was tracking the energy signature of youma when she found herself in a small wooded area with a pond and bridge nearby. Her net in hand, Hypnos looked around with an icy stare. Buttwings protruding from behind her, she walked with a bit of grace as she scanned the area. She could feel it trickling in the back of her neck, a feeling that she couldn't only explain as nearby. It was somewhere in this area for sure.
It was buzzing that caught her attention to a specific area, and there she could see the back of a youma. She couldn't make out who it was pinning to a tree but she could sense that it was a senshi. Whoever it was definitely was in trouble and she knew she had to help them. She had to put her own problems on hold and with a stiff breath, Hypnos began summoning sleep dust into her hands as she ran at the two.
"Don't hurt them!" She called out to the youma as she threw the sleep dust into its prism like eyes, causing it to wobble with a sudden lethargy, before throwing the net over it and brought the youma to the ground where it seemed to welcome the lethargic prison.
"Are you o—" she said as she turned to face the senshi only to freeze in mid sentence.
"Ix... Ixion?" She'd longed to see him again but she always thought that when she seen him next it would be like old times where he'd be rescuing her.

The youma slumped down in it’s netty cage, revealing the face of it’s captive prey to his savior, and vice versa. Ixion had his eyes closed for a second, almost sure that the youma would have pierced though his body by now. But the sound of it falling over, and the sound of someone calling his name made him open up his eyes and take in the sights of a small girl in what looked like pajamas. It was a form he use to be very familiar with, though he noted there had been changes.
“Fancy meeting you here” the boy made a sort of a grin, happy to she the girl, though a little embarrassed that she was saving him and not the other way around. Ixion moved away from the tree and sort of kicked the youma in the net before thanking Hypnos. “Thanks for that.”
Though kicking the youma, though it laid still due to Hypnos’s magic, might not have been the best of ideas. There was a low muffled buzzing sound and the stinger of the youma started to rattle, as if on its own accord.

Hypnos wasn't sure how to react at first. Icy blue eyes fell upon the youma in the net with sadness before they went back up to Ixion. They shifted back and forth uneasily, almost awkwardly. She hadn't seen him in so long that it was hard to believe that he was standing here now. She had cried out for him so many times over the year, in dire need of help from of her knight, and to finally see him here in an inverse situation was not something she imagined.
"Thank goodness you're alive," she said softly. Not just from this youma but from any monsters in the past. She hadn't seen him in over a year that it was just as plausible that a youma or Negaverse Officer could have killed him.
Hypnos winced visibly when Ixion kicked the rather helpless youma in the net, her eyes falling as he thanked her. She understood that the youma was probably about to kill Ixion but when the coin was flipped did anyone save the youma? So many youma were killed and no one cared! It seemed excessive to kick a youma that was already trapped. It was cruel and you risk aggregating it! That was exactly what Ixion did too, the sound of buzzing filling the air again.
"It's been so long, where have you been?" She asked with a frown, her eyes still looking at the youma in the net. What if you were in the net, Ixion?

It was hard not to notice Hypnos’s gaze fall. It was never easy to forget how strangely attached and protective the girl was of these monsters that killed. Silly, Ixion thought, as they were not people, they were not pet, they were things that were trying to kill and hurt him and people he cared for. No, Ixion did not forget, but he was more vengeful where applicable then the girl was.
Ixion gave a sigh, part of relief that Hypnos too was alright, and he had ‘escaped’ harm; part was for the reminder that he had been long gone from this place and life. He sort of shrugged at it “Overseas… but look at you.” Ixion noticed the protruding wings from her … er… bow area. He grinned at that.
Turns out kicking things when they are down does infact make things angry, even if they are sleeping. The buzz became louder and the lower half of the youma shook and fell away from the rest of the body. The broken off part dissolved into many tiny buzzing wasp-like youma, only marginally larger then the real thing and these ones were angry.

Hypnos followed Ixion's eyes to the wings protruding to her 'bow area' and found herself grinning as well. Her smile was quite a bit softer than his but it didn't mean she wasn't as happy as he was. In fact, she was happier! She was so proud of them! After all, she had worked so hard to earn them over the years and finally getting them brought great joy to the senshi of sleep. She felt accomplished and hoped now that she was at the highest tier she could reach that finally she could really change things.
"Thank you!" She whispered, changing the topic to back to where he'd been. "Overseas? Everyone seems to have gone overseas last year!"
Who'd have guessed? Neither of them apparently but they weren't all that quick on the uptake given neither of them noticed what the wasp youma was doing. Suddenly, all the small wasps easily slipped through the cracks in the netting, coming toward them. Hypnos couldn't help but flail in Ixion's general direction, her voice squeaking as she yelped in surprise.
"This is why you don't kick youma! They get upset!" She didn't mean to rub it in but she couldn't help but think of it. After all, they feel things too!

Ixion was about to answer more on being overseas, and question who else the young senshi knew abroad. That was until the wasps came out from the netting and were swarming around them, Ixion grabbed Hypnos’s hand and pulled, starting to book it away from the things."Now isn't the time for .. nevermind!" He wasn't going to waste his breath on saying they deserved it, knowing she'd just retort with something else. Running was a better use of his energy then chitchatting about ethical youma treatment.
Running, Ixion used his free hand tried to swat way the youma-wasps. One landed on him and stung his neck. “Ow!” Instinctively he hit the thing, squishing it instantly. The small stinger stayed in, and it was unknown if it would have some effect... yet.

If now wasn't the time for it then when was? After he annoyed the youma some more and the situation got worse? However, she didn't want to face the wrath of a hundred tiny little wasp youma because of Ixion so she ran away with him. She was used to running, probably a lot more than he was given he was gone for a year, and it wasn't long before she was ahead of him.
Instinctively, when she heard someone call out in pain, she turned her head around.
"What happened?" Called out the voice of concern. Was he all right?

It wasn’t that Ixion wasn’t used to running. He was a fairly decent runner, but it was true he hadn’t needed to run for his life in a long time. In this instance it was that the sting had pumped a few toxins into the boy’s blood system. “I’m fi--- no, it’s nothing. Just a sting.” Ixion’s words seemed to take longer then usual to get out.
In fact, the eternal senshi, though still chased by a the swarm of tiny wasps, was starting to slow down. He reached for Hypnos, but his hands fell flat to his sides, unable to take the weight. It wasn’t long before the senshi was stopped, and fell to the ground. Quickly his slumped body was engulfed in a mass of black and yellow buzzy youma.

A sting? Hypnos' expression displayed a great sense of concern when he said that but if he said he was fine then she didn't want to argue with him. After all, people got stung by wasps all the time. If he was allergic then he probably wouldn't have said he was fine, right? Hypnos definitely hoped for the best, continuing to run until she heard a thump behind her.
She stopped dead her in tracks and spun around on her heel. Her eyes widened as she caught the tail end of Ixion falling to the ground and then the swarm of wasps coming over him. Immediately she ran back, sliding to the stop and almost landing on top of him as she swung her arms around him.
"Stop!" She cried out. "He's sorry for kicking you! Please don't hurt him anymore!"
Reason. She tried to reason with them but they were wasps and even real ones didn't listen to reason. She didn't want to squish them because they were still living like wasps but she couldn't let them sting him to death. Who knew what these youma wasps could do? Maybe each sting stole life energy! What if he got stung enough that they took too much energy from him any he went into an eternal sleep? Sleep was her domain, she couldn't let her friend succumb to a permanent sleep. Surely if anyone could prevent it, the senshi of sleep could!
Throwing her hands up into the air, sleep dust suddenly fell around the swarm of wasps. They were so small in comparison with so many eyes that almost immediately all the wasps began to slow down and with the opportunity Hypnos began to pull Ixion across the rough ground. She pulled him further and further away from the wasps until she could no longer see or hear them. Once she felt safe, she stopped pulling him and fell onto her knees with a shortness of breath.
He was much heavier than he looked! He wasn't big or fat but he was sturdy.
"Are..."
"You..."
"Doing..."
"Well..?"
She tried to catch her breath, her body laying over his chest with concern. She begged him to open his eyes and look at her. You weren't going to die on her too, were you? You just got back! Her eyes definitely were starting to form tears as she buried her face into his chest with heavy breaths.

Moments were passing like molasses: excruciatingly slow. Ixion seemed to be laying there, biten, stung and bruised without any movement except the steady rise and fall of his chest with every shallow breath. Up and down, his chest rose and sunk like a moving pillow for Hypnos. It was a calmer motion than Hypnos’s heavy breathing.
Beyond that, the dark haired senshi did not stir. At least he was not dead.

Hypnos could feel Ixion's breathing and that helped a bit but she was still worried when she looked at his face and still did not see him opening his eyes. Just because he was breathing it didn't mean things were all right! She couldn't help but fear he was truly in an eternal sleep and perhaps it was her fault somehow since she was the senshi of sleep. Arms over his chest, her blue eyes stared at him with focus as her breathing calmed down.
"This is why you shouldn't be mean to the youma. This never would have happened if you didn't make it made!" She cried out, her eyes falling over her much more exposed arms and neck where no stings or bites were visible. She would have been a much easier target but they were obviously mad at him. "They... they didn't touch me at all!"
She sniffled, looking at him as his eyes still remained closed.
"Ixion... Ixion you can't leave me!" She said, her hands digging into his fuku jacket. He couldn't, not after he just came back! Of course, in plain context it could mean anything.

Hynpos’s cries were falling on deaf ears. The boy stayed motionless through the majority of her speech about his treatment of youma. Of course, he couldn’t see her exposed skin free of blemishes, compared to his roughed up exposed bits (of which, honestly, there were not very many).
His sugar brown eyes continued to be covered by eyelids.
What he did respond to somewhat was the repetition of his name and Hypnos clutching at his jacket. It wasn’t much, but it there was reassuring “Hghgnnn”. As nonsense as the sound was, maybe he was slowly coming through.

In the dead silence in the air after her pleas, Hypnos' ears tuned into the quiet sound of Ixion's groan. With a glimmer of hope in the air as the thought of Ixion suddenly dying on her disappeared and Hypnos quickly found herself hugging the other senshi quiet tightly. She was so happy he was alive, she was so happy he was going to be okay. Her face practically against his, her eyes stared into his as she waited for them to open.

Ixion was never much for words. It was probably no surprise then, that his sounds were few and far between as he came through. There was the odd groan, a bit of a whimper, but mostly there was silence. All there was were the sounds of the two breathing, and the rustling of the grass and leaves in the breeze.
Clasped tight in Hypnos’s arms, Ixion was more aware of where she was then any of his other surroundings. More inclined towards action, and being the dashing young teenager that he was, Ixion seized an opportunity when it presented itself. All he had to do was lean up an inch, and the young senshi’s lips touched hers lightly. Ixion stole a kiss before his eyes even opened.
