Evie was much more relaxed these days. Or at least that's what she tried to tell herself. With the fall semester starting and all that ugliness with chibi senshi and her own senshiness put behind her, she had asserted that now more than ever that she was moving forward with life.
And like the nerd she was, she was moving forward by getting a head start on homework at the library.
The semester had just started and she already had a boatload of English homework anyway, so she figured she would spend the weekend milling around, trying to find a decent resource in the library and see what would come of it. Maybe make a new notebook. This was her version of relaxing.

Candice was saddened that summer was coming to an end, but she wasn't surprised. She was more than prepared and ready for the school year to begin. Sure, she spent a lot of time with her dog and exercising, but more time was spent studying. There was a bit of sewing in between chapters, but not that much.
The table she had chose to sit at was empty, but nearby one that was occupied by a girl with long purplish-blue hair, whom seemed as consumed as she was with school already. Candice was glad she was not the only one.
She sighed just slightly as she stared at the books that she would be reading today. Earlier that morning she had a long jog with Cotton, but soon after, Candice picked up her books and left for the library. Bright and early. Classes had barely started, but with her summer reading, Candice already knew what was going on and was more than ahead. There was a part of her that was always afraid that she'd disappear again and some how get screwed over. Again.

Evie was resting one cheek in her hand as she tapped her pen and read over her essay prompt, trying to think of how she wanted to approach it. It wasn't due for a while, but she could at least get started on it.
But when she glanced up, she saw a pretty blonde student and decided she'd rather think of a way to approach her instead.
Slinging her pin covered messenger back over her shoulder, she gathered her books and papers and slid into the seat next to her. "Mind if I join you? This stuff always goes better with company."
She even held out a hand to shake. "I'm Evie. Pre-law at DCU."

One by one, Candice started to open the books to the page she needed to read. It only ended up being three books, but it was a couple chapters each, which made the day seem like it would go on forever. She hoped that the topics were at least engaging.
Candice had started reading a bit of the first one before she was approached by another studious being. "Of course you can sit there. I'm not sure how much company I can be though, with these books."
"It's nice to meet you, Evie. I'm Candice, pre-med at HITS." She smiled at Evie, glad to have someone at least easy to talk to if she needed a break from reading. "What are you working on today?"

"Well, whatever homework comes out of the first few weeks is usually pretty simple. I know mine is!" Evie laughed optimistically and shrugged. "I'm sure it'll go much quicker with help. We're both undergrads, we probably have a lot of core classes in common, plus, we're both pretty hot."
She flashed Candace a crooked grin and gave her arm a little nudge.
"Well right now I'm working on chatting up this cute blonde I saw from across the table. I admit, that's more why I came over here, instead of the books. You should totally let me buy you lunch."
