There were days that went absolutely wonderful for Isha. The sun was shining, the fish were practically jumping out of the water, and there was no tinge of danger anywhere. And though today was very much similarly set up, he found himself stressing over the fact that he had forgotten his eldest sister's birthday. Surely, there was SOMETHING the girl wanted, that wasn't ridiculously far away, or out of his price range.. He had his own allowance, and couldn't be spending it all willy, nilly.. There WAS such thing as fiscal responsibility!
Upon browsing Etsy, as his darling elder sister loved bits and pieces of 'unique' items, he, in his search for finding shop close to home, he came across a shop not too far from home. In fact.. The owners seemed to be stationed right here.. In Destiny City..
A bit of excitement over came him as he started to type out a message to the owners of the site.
Good Afternoon! I saw that you were in Destiny City, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in teaching someone how to make jewelry! Not for profit, no, since that, of course, is your job! Just to know the basics of it, for a project of sorts! I'm trying to master the 64 Kala of Hinduism, Well, no not master, just learn the basics and what not, since mastering all of them would take a couple of lifetimes! I'd be willing to pay, of course! If you'd be interested, let me know! My number is XXX-XXX-XXXX, and when you call, just ask for Isha! Thank you so much! I hope to hear from you soon!
Hopefully that didn't come out too.. Eager or creepy. If the owners of the shop did call him, he'd arrange for a visit to their shop or something, if they had a physical location! Ooh, goodness, he was so excited!

"Hey Rian, I think this one is one of yours." Arian had been in the process of making bead drops for a necklace he was making, but he'd looked up quizzically at his cousin's voice. Saffy was over in the armchair, laptop in lap and had been on Etsy checking through convos last he remembered, although it was not something he tended to get involved with - he pretty much just handled the jewellery making part for their shared shop, well that and acted as order dispatcher - it was something that seemed to work well for them. His cousin called again and after pushing the finished bead drops carefully to the side, Arian walked the few steps over to see what it was that she wanted. In answer, Saffy had pointed out a tab in the Chrome browser she had open before relinquishing the laptop. A little puzzled but figuring that it was maybe a request about custom orders, Arian had wandered over, taken a seat on the beanbag and started to scan through the Etsy convo in question. It didn't take long for him to realise that it wasn't request about customs - no it seemed to be a request for a teacher. Arian hadn't done anything immediately apart from jotting down the listed number and telling Saffy that he'd think about it, instead he'd gone back to finishing up the bead drops. He hadn't meant to be at it so long, but he'd ended up having to rework a few of the drops because he was unhappy with them and so it was late afternoon by the time he got round to picking up the phone. Dialling the number he'd jotted down earlier, he waited until someone picked up and then said a little awkwardly to the voice at the other end of the line. "Hello, I'm Arian Laith and I'm calling about the message posted up on Etsy. Something about a project" he added. "The convo said to ask for Isha."

"Good Evening, Small residence. Oh, One moment, I'll go and get him."
Isha tried to distract himself from his excitement of the potential teacher so close to his home, yet it was so hard to focus on anything. His list was quickly filling up, and so far, all of his teachers had been amazing.
Of course people had their own busy lives.. That's why he hadn't called or messaged him back, right? Why did he even feel so anxious about all of this anyway? Maybe his message came off more awkward than he had initially thought. Dammit, he knew he should have probably just looked for a teacher at a shop or something, the opportunity was just amazing to pass up. Seriously, just how convenient was it?
"Excuse me, Isha, you have a phone call! It's about your project, a man named Arian Laith" A maid poked her head into his room, holding out the phone.
In an instant, Isha was up on his feat, bounding for the phone, taking it with a soft, "Thank you", before lifting it up to his mouth, his words coming out fast and excited.
"Hello! Hello, yes, this is Isha Chaudhary! I.. I uh, yes, I called about a project! You see, I'm doing this task of learning a bunch of different artforms, just the basics, and like the message said, I wanted to know if you would be willing to teach me a bit of jewelry crafting. Um.. Perhaps we could arrange to meet up at your shop, if you have a physical location. And if not, maybe at a craft store, or someplace that has a nice space we could use. O-oh, of course there is the payment issue, just name your price! Errr.. I'm sure that sounds a bit odd.. But no worries, You can make a bill out to the Small residence. That can be discussed later, if you want to talk about it in person.. Do you have any free time soon? Or a location in mind?"
litian Isha's adopted, but he didn't take his parent's last name. They wanted to keep him "who he was". XD

Arian blinked as what seemed to be a torrent of words came down the phone line. He wasn't sure what he'd been expecting when the polite-sounding female voice had initially answered the phone, but it certainly hadn't been this. "Um I guess I could teach you the basics of jewellery-making Mr Chaudhary, although payment wouldn't be necessary as I'm not a formal teacher" Arian said at last when he was finally able to get a word in edgeways and hoping that he'd picked up the jist of what the other was asking. "And I don't actually have a shop." His voice was rueful as he spoke. Creations in Silver was purely Etsy based with Arian crafting the jewellery in the apartment and Saffy was the one who handled all the financial stuff for it anyway. Looking over in his cousin's direction, Arian realised that his cousin was still in the armchair, noting that she wasn't even pretending to not eavesdrop. Hiding a sigh - he had a feeling that she was totally going to tease him later - he added "And yes I have some free time." Although the summer break was almost over and his degree classes over at DCU soon to start, Arian had heard that the first week tended to be pretty quiet. "Mayhaps we could meet up over at the Destiny Library" he thought about it. "Or at Espresso Yourself" he added naming a coffee shop that he'd stumbled across but hadn't been to in a while. "If you'd prefer to do it somewhere where you can get a coffee."

"Please, just call me Isha. I don't think I'm quite qualified to be a mister yet! And it's a shame about not having a shop, I'm more than certain you'd have plenty of customers!"
"Well, if your are certain.. Maybe I could atleast buy your lunch or something, especially if you're taking time out of your day to help me. Such kindness should be properly rewarded!"
He paused at the suggestion of the library. Personally, he hated the place. Sure, it was good for other people, but why did he just want to rent a book, and not keep it? If he really wanted to read something, he'd just buy it.
"The coffee shop sounds great. Name A time and place, and I'll see you there!"

"Okay Isha" Arian agreed. "And ah thank you" he felt a little awkward at the other's compliment. "It's not all my work though, I just just make the jewellery." Out of the two of them Saffy probably did most of the running of their little Etsy shop. "And yes I'm certain" he added, in response to the other's query about payment. At Isha's query about time and place Arian thought it over for a moment "Well I'm starting up classes over at the University" he said referring to the Destiny City University "But I've heard that the first week tends to be pretty quiet, so mayhaps at some point in the afternoon once I've got my schedule. He thought it over some more, adding "Although Thursdays are bad for me." He did Aikido over at the community hall on Thursday evenings. "Alternatively if weekends work, mayhaps we can meet on Saturday. Espresso Yourself is a pretty neat coffee shop" he rattled off the address to the shop. "And they do nice biscuits and stuff too" he should know - he'd certainly brought enough of their sweet treats in the past. Cooro Cooro sorry for taking practically forever with this

"Still, making jewelry that's a beautiful as yours is quite the skill! I'm truly excited to work with you." For a brief moment that he could not understand why, he imagined himself in an ol' 90's movie, with a phone cord wrapped around his finger as he spoke like a teenage girl. What an embarrassing thought!
"Saturday sounds good to me! I have yet to get enrolled in school, since my family is lazy when it comes to such things, and we moved here in the beginning of the summer, so school was already out, so I have some free time. So I'll meet you there at around noon, okay? I'll go ahead and send you a picture or something, so that you know who to look for when you get there!"
As the conversation ended and he hung up the phone, Isha couldn't help but let out a soft but excited sound of glee! His list was coming together so awesomely! And who knows, maybe when this was all said and done, he could just make his sister gifts, instead of having to buy her everything. When a girl could have anything she wanted any day, it was definitely hard to think of a gift..

The rest of the evening had passed relatively quietly, even despite Saffy's teasing. The following week had passed relatively quickly, with Arian finding out that university was very different to being in school. There had also been the craziness of finding out his schedule on the first day and then over the course of the week finding his way round the university, although finding the workshop used by those doing silver-smithing had certainly been a high point with Arian certain that he would enjoying working on his course projects there. And then it felt quite suddenly that Saturday was rolling around, leaving Arian with no idea of just where the week had gone. Noon (well okay 5 minutes past) had found him up in the university district, the unassuming brick building with the cream coloured awning that housed Espresso Yourself actually pretty close to the university. When Saturday finally rolled around, Isha quietly got himself together, placing a notebook and a pen in his bag before getting into the car. Sure, the time was only 10:30AM and their meeting wasn't until noon. As quiet as he was, he was very very excited, and got into the car, eagerly awaiting his arrival at the address given to his driver.
Espresso Yourself seemed to very much be a college place. Small enough not to feel entirely overwhelming, and comfortably roomy at the same time. It simply smelled delicious here, coffee and cinnamon and baked goods wafted through the air endlessly. For a meeting place that was unknown to him all together until now, it was very nice, and he had no regrets to meeting here. Having arrived far, far too early, he allowed himself to claim a beanbag chair, and used his tablet to browse about while he waited.
Time passed by quite quickly, and as it crept closer to noon, Isha stood, going to stand outside of the shops door. The boy couldn't help but fidget a little with his bag strap, nervous to finally meet the artist that was to be his teacher. And when the man approached him, he bit his lip, fighting a rather wide grin that threatened to takeover his face. The man was just about height, despite being older, and for some reason, that made him a wee bit less intimidated.
"You're a little late! But thank you so much for coming to meet me! Shall we go inside and grab a snack before we get started?"

Isha (well at least he was assuming that the teen with red-brown hair since he matched the picture that he'd been given) was already there by the time that Arian arrived at Espresso Yourself. "Isha?" his voice was quiet as he spoke to the other, an apologetic expression on his face. "I'm sorry that I'm late, I'm Arian" he held out a hand to shake "Arian Laith - you spoke to me a few days ago." Arian wasn't particularly a great judge of age, but he thought that the other looked around mid teens - 15/16-ish and they were about the same height, unusual as he was used to most people being taller than him since despite turning 18 in February he was still stuck at the 'grand' height of 5'3". At the other's suggestion that they grab a snack, he nodded a slight but friendly smile flitting across his face "They do great pastries here, cookies too and the coffee's really good too."

The hand that was offered to him was quickly grasped between his own, shaken, then released in a flurry of motions.
"That's right! It's very nice to meet you, Arian! I'm very excited that you took out time to meet me! It means alot, especially since school is starting soon. If you don't mind, I'd love to treat you something. And if there's anything you could recommend, that would be great!" The weather outside was rather warm, almost uncomfortable in the late days of summer, so he was more than ready to get into the building. As if almost nudging him to do so, Isha held the door open for the other, enjoying the blast of cool air that hit him.
"I would also love to hear about your studies and such too. As much as I am happy that you are to be my teacher, I think a friend would be something amazing to get out of this too."

"It's okay," Arian said quietly. "I'm flattered that you like my little creations so much, although I'm not sure if I'm the best person to recommend anything drinks-wise" the slight smile was Still on his face as he spoke, a slightly rueful note slipping into his quiet voice. "I have a horrendous sweet tooth and so I tend to go for the flavoured coffees" well more like coffees accessorised with flavoured syrups and added sugar. "But the pastries here are really, really good and the pecan maple ones in particular go really well with coffee." He could smell the pastries through the door that Isha held open, the smells blending pleasantly with that of the coffee being prepared. As he walked to the door he continued "Well I've only recently started at the University, but it's different to being at High School." As he walked through the door, he thanked the other teen, holding it in turn for Isha, the action a habit that had been drummed into him.

Ah.. This one was a quite person, huh? One of his other teachers had been the quiet sort as well.. Though Krisna had been perhaps more stern, than anything else. Which was still fine. Meeting all sorts of people like this would surely help him later in life. Maybe he'd even get another lesson out of this, one of restraint and patience.
Inside once again, he took a deep breath, then coughed a little, having inhaled too much. The shop truly did smell delicious, and though he had been sitting in the shop for quite some time, the brief moment he had outside cleared his nose and once again he nearly bit the air.
"The problem with getting two things sweet for me is that I can't always distinguish the tastes as well, since they are both sweet... So I'll get me something sweet to eat now, with some milk.. Then on the way out, I'll grab me a sweet coffee then." He was more partial to tea himself, but he'd try anything once. While the other decided on what he wanted, he pulled out his bank card, flipping it over in his fingers.
"Oh, so you're probably not too much older than I am. At 16 years old, I think I have.. Two years until I'm ready to go off to university. I don't know if I'd be going off to DCU though. No idea what I want to do with my life, when I'm ready to enter the real world." Was there anywhere he could really go and still feel like he belonged? That wasn't something he'd bug a stranger with though.
"I have a quiet little table over there." With his elbow, he pointed over to a corner of the shop where there was a nice rounded table, with elevated seating. It was big enough for the two of them, and it was pretty secluded, for the most part. His own bag was already hanging off of the back of one of the chairs.

Arian didn't study the menu for too long, opting for a Dulce de Leche Latte and one of the aforementioned pecan maple pastries. The Dulce de Leche Latte was one he'd opted for in the past, enjoying the mix of caramalised sugar and whipped cream. He nodded at Isha's not too much older statement "I turned 18 in Feb," adding "I've been at Meadowview these past two years, although I studied in the UK before that." As Isha went on to mention university and not having an idea of what to do with his life after schooling, Arian listened quietly, before offering as he glanced over in the direction of the table that the other had indicated "I don't think many people at school really know what they want to do with their life once they've finished with it." He certainly hadn't. "But having time to think on it is good right?" He noted that Isha had picked a nice spot, relatively secluded over in the corner as it was.

"I was born overseas, in India, but I can't really remember too much about it." It never really bothered him, not remembering much of it. The one memory he DID have wasn't the best one, so it was often shoved and locked away in his mind's vault.
"Yup. Nothing good ever comes from hasty decisions, is what I say!" Isha handed the card over to the cashier, then once everything was paid for, he took his sweet over to the table, having Arian follow behind him. He moved his bag off the chair, sitting down on it himself.
"So.. What shall this lesson entail?" He had some ideas of his own, but he was curious to see if Arian had actually come prepared.
