Everyone had a different reason for powering up in Destiny City and Svartalfheim's revolved directly around desire for truth. She spent years in law enforcement and over the years she'd had her run-ins with the 'terrorists' of Destiny City. She had been a skeptic and now she was going undercover to find out the truth. She was putting everything on the line to do this but she felt in her heart and her gut that this was the right thing for her to do.
Tonight it lead her to the downtown core where she passed by several night clubs. Despite the bustling noise coming from inside the walls around her, it felt like a quiet night. Usually she could feel more activity than this and she couldn't help but wonder if she should call it a night. Perhaps her time would be better spent doing paperwork for tomorrow? Or perhaps cleaning her apartment once more.
Svartalfheim turned her heels into an alley. She'd find a safe place to power down and then head home. It didn't seem like anything was going to happen tonight.

He had been watching her for a while now, unpowered as to not draw attention to himself. Initially he had been drawn to the page because of her older appearance because, for the most part, he had been dueling with people close to his age range. This powered individual was different, older and the purple uniform had unsettled something deep within him. It had left a deep frown on his face.
At some point, shortly before she had made her way into an alley, he had made his way to the roof of the nearest building and it was there that he left chaos ripple through him. Street clothes were exchanged with a blue and pink uniform and pink highlighted hair was covered by a dark hood. He peered over the edge, starting down at the dark skinned woman.
"You know, they say women shouldn't stray into dark alley's all alone," he cooed, voice loud and booming. He wanted her attention. Then, he descended upon her, dropping from the roof heel first.

Svartalfheim was ready to power down when she felt a sudden burst of chaotic energy. It was nearby, close enough that she immediately tightened her body into a defensive position. Vivid purple eyes lit up by the street lights off to the side, she surveyed the area until she heard the voice boom from above. She didn't say anything to his accusation of her womanly weakness, and instead prepared her body as he descended down.
It was when he landed and she got a good look at him that her face had a clear frown on it.
"You can't be old enough to even drink!" Her voice had the tone of disappointed parent for sure. She didn't need to finish that sentence to make the implication about who this young man spent his company with. She didn't have children but she definitely had that tone down pack. Seriously, how old was he! He was going to throw his life away and for what? No child should be used for war crimes.

Labyrinthite shrugged, a smirk plastered on his face, as he stood. Adjusting his uniform he extended his right hand, a pink and dark gray scythe materializing in his hand. "I don't see how my age has anything to do with the situation at hand," he retorted, twirling the weapon through his fingers. It didn't matter how old she thought he was, he could legally drink, because he was an adult free to make his own choices.
He knew what she meant and it resulted in dark laughter from his lips. "Children often get mixed up in the problem of adults," he stated, thoughts flickering to the ideals of his deceased father. They then shifted to the memory of a chibi senshi rushing to aid a falling eternal. War affected everyone, regardless of age. Why couldn't the White Moon understand that?
They were the ones involving children, real children, who hadn't even reached their teenage years yet. "You should know, with your cats involving elementary school kids," he hissed, eyes narrowing. Both factions were monsters to the opposing side.
The captain knew he had hardened to the casualties of war, those who had not would suffer. He would be their grim reaper. "Enough talking," he cooed suddenly darting forward. When in range he lashed out with his blade.

How could age not matter? He was a still practically a child and he had no business ruining his life playing terrorist. If Svaralfheim had met any chibi senshi she would be horrified for the exact same reasons she was with Labyrinthite, although in some cases such as Sailor Chibi Lepus where the chibi senshi was only nine her horror would only be magnified. She'd heard the screams of children at the carnival but she'd never seen any of the chibi senshi there and had only assumed it was just civilian children.
"You're sorely mistaken, I am not a pet owner. Frankly I'm more of a dog person," she corrected. Unlike senshi, she didn't require a cat to awaken her and she'd never met a guardian cat either. Knight business was completely separate from whatever those children in skirts did in the night. She would find out, she made it her business to investigate, but she didn't like when children like Labyrinthite assumed they knew everything.
"Just because children get mixed up in, doesn't mean they should. You can get out. Just walk away."
She was smiling, during this whole time she was smiling. Even as he came at her with his scythe she continued to smile. It was a bit unnerving when you thought about the situation and how despite all of it she just had this firm smile on her face. It was like she couldn't do anything else, wouldn't do anything else. There had to be hope in this world and she couldn't simply give up on someone.
Bladed weapons weren't entirely out of her league as an officer of the law but a scythe on the other hand was a different story. She couldn't simply disarm him as easily as she might have been able to do a simple pocket knight and a very real threat still remained as it would either. She had to be careful not to get cut, or rather, sliced. It was preferable to being stabbed but neither cases would be good. Enough blood loss and it wouldn't matter which had happened.
Unlike him, she didn't have much of a weapon to help her. A ribbon? If she got close enough she could maybe tie it into his hair. She couldn't even use it as a blunt force weapon so she didn't even bother to summon it. She remained unarmed and that left both of her hands free to grab the handle of the scythe after it swung by her. It was too close to the blade for her to reason holding onto it for long, a very real concern of him pulling it back and slicing a finger off present.
Instead she rolled back, that smile of her still present like a curse.

If the young man had any inkling of what was going through the woman's mind he would have been quick to argue with her. Claim, no argue, that she was the one playing terrorist, that the knight and senshi were the very reason there were characters like himself out there. They had been created to fight back, to take back the earth from the space invaders. He was proud of the organization he belonged to and he would be damned if someone said otherwise.
"Who are you to judge?" He leered while she grabbed his weapon. He smirked, it was a common tactic because of how obscure his scythe was. Most did not know how to handle it, hell he hadn't known how to deal with it at first. His movements were a result of practice. The pink weapon suddenly vanished into thin air as he banished it, knowing most would be overcome with shock. He wasted no time in darting forward, throwing himself at his opponent.
His fingers reached for the front of her top and he pulled, knee rising to meet body.

Labyrinthite might have been proud of his organization but what if he knew what his organization believed in was wrong? Svartalfheim was a far cry from a space invader given her and her entire bloodline were human. What he thought he was fighting now to defend Earth was actually an attack against it and the people there. Without the clothes people wear, people are all the same. Rebirth and bloodline aside, everyone here was a human from Earth. What sort of invader is that?
If she was someone else, Svartalfheim might have been more worried by the disappearance of the weapon. However, Svartalfheim was trained to expect the unexpected, and in addition, Svartalfheim could do the same thing with her weapon. She hadn't summoned it because frankly it wasn't very useful in its current state.
"You attacked me. I believe that says all there is to say," she said flatly, a smile growing on her face as he moved in to grab her top. She might not have started this fight but she was as capable as any other fighter. They wouldn't have let her on the force if she wasn't. In a hand to hand combat situation, she was confident enough. It was really too bad she wasn't a dirty fighter because it would have been an opportune moment.
Instead, Svartalfheim shifted her body. She didn't completely avoid his knee and she let out an indistinguishable sound and in the process she tore several of the buttons off her vest and ripped it open. However, it would be worth if it she would succeed. She went to use his momentum to flip Labyrinthite. If she succeeded, she was ready to go down with him and pin him there in the alley.
