 Silas Cooper Foxxe
When was the last time he snorted a line…an hour ago? Or had it just been ten minutes ago? He really couldn’t remember. He did know that his adrenaline was high and he was practically bouncing off the walls of the club he was currently in. The club that he was illegally in, but no one had ID’d him so he didn’t particularly care. He was pretty sure someone had warned him not to drink while he was on coke, but…he did it all the time so it didn’t matter. What mattered was the fact that he felt great! An hour or two passed and as the night progressed he began to feel less and less energetic and more…sluggish. He felt a bit sick from all the mixing of alcohol and drugs and thus decided to slip out of the club before his buddies could notice. Now when he said buddies, he meant…dealers and other users. Stumbling out of the club he made his way down the sidewalk, which was blissfully empty. He didn’t particularly want anyone to see him…he was under age after all. A sudden wave of nausea hit him and he found himself on the ground in some alleyway, dry heaving but not vomiting.
With a groan he flipped over onto his back, glaring up at the hazy sky, completely covered by the smog from the city factories. His name was Silas Cooper foxxe…just your average teenager attending high school. His last year to be exact and he’d dropped out earlier today, left home, and was now living on the streets. All the while he was abusing drugs, which was probably why he got into trouble all the time. He grumbled something under his breath as the world spun around him and closed his eyes, dragging a hand down his face before laying there limply in the alley; practically out cold. How long he laid there didn't really matter too him but as he did the withdrawal from the drugs began to hit him and he could feel his appetite leaving him as well as a painful pulsing in his head which caused a soft grunt of pain to slip from his lips. Seemed he'd be spending the night in an alley way tonight.

Gregory Shultz Gregory Shultz spent his Saturday nights at the hospital in the ER whenever they were short on people. He was a top neurosurgeon at the local hospital and he was always on call, it was rare for him to actually have a long day off to enjoy life. Tonight happened to be one of those rare nights and he was ready to take full advantage of that. Being around nurses and ill patients tended to get mentally tiring and he wanted to be around more lively people, not that he hated his job. Saving people on a day to day basis was something he grew fond up, not that he considers himself a hero. His job is his job but a passion as well. Greg comes from a long line of doctors, his mother and father met in a hospital, his mother a cardiologist and his father a nurse. It had been a little fling they had but they turned out to really fall for one another and thus got married and now here he was, impacting lives much like they did. His older sister (only sibling) became a clinical psychologist and is currently living in another country though lately she's been talking about coming to visit.
With all that on his mind he barely caught what the woman beside him was saying. Looking at her she was smiling with a dink in hand and her skirt riding up every time she moved. How did he get himself stuck in that situation. He hated spacing out so much...but luckily it never happened when he was on the job. Sighing inwardly he glanced at his watch then looked at the woman and reached out, putting a strand over her hair behind her ear, making her silly little heart flutter. The blush on her face was more annoying than cute.
"Well then it was really nice meeting you tonight but I must head off now. I need to head home and go to bed, I have work in the morning and it's not good to have a sleep doctor working on a patients brain." He grinned and quickly left not allowing her to ask him if he wanted her number.
Once out of the club he was able to breath freely and he hurried off toward his car just in case she tried chasing him. As he passed an alley he glanced over to see something peculiar on the ground but he concluded it was probably some sort of bag of trash. However before he walked off he had that familiar feeling of something being wrong, call it a doctors intuition. Backing up he turned his head more and squinted enough to make out the shape of a body. Cursing under his breath he rushed down the alley and saw that it was in fact a body. In fact it was a rather young man and he quickly took his pulse. It was there but it was far too irregular and slow. Upon examining him more he quickly came to the conclusion of over dose. With an even heavier sigh he picked up the boy and rushed him to his car and drove off to the ER. He called a head so when he got there they were ready to take him in.
Gregory was going to head home but instead he parked and walked inside and looked for the young man he brought in. He smiled at the nurse who was answering calls. "Hey Lex, know anything about the kid I brought in?" She looked through the file on the computer and told him his name, age and date of birth.
"Thanks, any contact information?" He asked as he turned to see where he was. He heard her say no, and that the young man had no working phone number on him.
Since Greg had brought him in he felt responsible for the boy and so he would figure out what was going on here. Smoothing his hair back he went over and finally found where he was. They hooked up IV's into him to get fluids in him since he had a mix of alcohol and cocaine flowing in his system.
The doctor and nurse went off to their other patients and knew they could leave the young man in his care. He stood by the bed and waited to see if he was going to come to. "Wonder if you had a death wish," he mumbled softly while looking over the young male who looked to be rather handsome. It wasn't a surprise to see a good looking young man getting s**t faced and ending up here.

 Silas Cooper Foxxe
Silas had never in his life imagined that he would be a user, and not to this extent. But as he laid there on the cold cement it hit him that he'd basically lost all hopes of having a real future the moment he started sniffing lines. A shiver ran down his spine as the cold crept through his thin sweater and he let himself drift off finally, almost hoping he wouldn't wake up again. That'd make things so much easier wouldn't it? He was just some high-school drop out run away, an addict, and a hopeless cause. While he let his mind slip into an unconscious state he felt himself leave the ground into a weightless and warm feeling which made him think perhaps he was dying after all. Emerald green orbs fluttered open for only one moment to glance up at the man who had picked him up, before closing heavily again. Was that an angel or something? He was pale and his hair was an unnatural shade of pink.... Not that he had much time to contemplate as everything finally fell away and he blacked out.
It wasn't until much later, when the pain in his head and body set in, that he was brought back to a conscious state. He could hear the beeping of a heart monitor not far from him, as well as the slight agitated feeling of having a needle piercing his arm. A soft groan escaped from his parched throat and hazy green eyes cracked open slowly, squinting up at the florescent lighting over head. "The hell" He croaked out, surprised by the sound of his own voice....it sounded nothing like usual. <********" He groaned, slowly pushing himself up and wincing as he felt a tug on his arm where the needle was. Grimacing he moved it carefully as to not tare it out of his arm. He let his gaze wander slowly and it stopped to rest upon the familiar and yet very unfamiliar face of the pink haired man who had 'rescued' him in a sense. "uhh...Hi" He muttered, unsure of who this man was, why he was here, or what was going on.

Gregory Shultz Greg watched as the young man finally began to stir and come to. By this time he was standing there with a clipboard in his hand, writing things down, more like note to self kind of things. He focused on what he was writing down while he watched the male from his peripheral vision. When the boy spoke he set his pen in his pocket since he was now wearing his coat so it was obvious that he was a doctor. He was quick to reply, "You came to a lot quicker than I estimated. Feeling like s**t right? Anyway considering the fact that I brought you to the hospital and saved your life I think it's only fair that you give me a number to contact your parents. A bit too young to be out drinking and doing drugs don't you think? So can I have a number please?" He then waited for a number though Greg was already getting the feeling that there really weren't any parents involved in this kids life, at least not as much as a normal loving family. What this guy needed was extensive therapy and rehab.
Greg sympathized for the male, but wouldn't lose sleep over him because this was the life he chose, this was the path he allowed himself to go under. He's spoken to plenty of men and women who had such ******** up lives but they went down a path of hard work and developed a "don't give up" mentality. Unfortunately not a lot of people were that strong, some were too weak willed. This fellow was probably weak like the other drug addicted teens.

Silas listened to the man speak silently, keeping a passive look on his face until he asked for his parents number. Now he was looking at the man like he had just grown another head or something. "Look. Thanks for the help. But I'll escort myself out now." He stated in a rather blunt voice, reaching down and carelessly pulling the IV from his arm, ignoring the trickle of blood that dripped down his arm and onto the floor. It'd stop quickly anyways. "Didn't mean to end up in the hospital anyways" He muttered under his breath, honestly, he hadn't even meant to get that hammered in the first place. His head continued to pound and he could feel the cravings already, he'd have to find a dealer somewhere.... Probably go to his usual spot. With that Silas got to his feet, glancing over at the window to note that he was only on the second floor and grinned to himself. "Anyways! I think I'll make my escape now" He stated nonchalantly as he leaned back against the window, before reaching behind him to pull it open and hop out, making sure to roll when he hit the ground. He took a few steps before he stopped to look up at the window "Bye bye Mr.serious, thanks for the treatment~" He called, before he took off at an easy jog.
He needed to change, so he'd have to go back to the small apartment he was currently occupying... Well, someone was letting him occupy in return for some company. She was a nice woman, probably about twenty-five or so. She liked Silas's face and the fact that he didn't talk much, plus she was a user herself so it worked out just fine. He was comfortable around her and she was more than happy to spend time with him. Once he had gotten onto the sidewalk he took to a more leisurely pace, ignoring the people who stopped to stare at the mess of a boy with blood dripping from his fingers.

Gregory Shultz Greg had wanted to give the boy a chance to oh, maybe change his life or go to a different path, or at least be less stupid. Crossing his arms he watched at he jumped out the window and rushed off. He waited a couple seconds before yawning and pulled his phone out and dialed a specific number. After a moment of describing Silas's appearance he hung up and left the hospital but of course he said goodbye to the other doctors and nurses.
Getting into his car he drove into the street but stopped watching a police cruiser drive past with the siren on and thus promptly followed. The hospital happened to have their own little police station and Greg knew all of the officers there and the security as well.
Minutes after Silas left the hospital and walked on the sidewalk, the cruiser stopped beside him and the two officers stepped out and told him to stop walking and to stand by the car. If Silas decided to run they would tackle him down and considering that he wasn't healthy at the moment, he wouldn't get far.
They then put hand cuffs on him and that's when Greg pulled up. Getting out he walked over to them and smiled, shaking their hands and he handed them a very small bag with just a small piece of crack. "This was found in his possession, and so you can take that. But mind giving me a second with him?"
The two nodded and walked away and talked among themselves. Greg leaned against the car with his arms crossed again while looking at him.
"So, I say you have two options. Come back to the hospital and stop acting like a fool, or spend a night in jail and have to go to court etc. It's up to you really." He smiled and waited to see if Slias was smart enough to take his offer, if not then Greg would just go home and not lose sleep over this.

Silas heard the sirens before he really figured out that they were after him, and it all happened so quickly. A scowl found it's way on to his face as they put the cuffs on him and it deepened when he spotted the doctor from before. "Really? The police?" He hissed under his breath, obviously not pleased that this man was interfering with his life. He grumbled a few profanities under his breath as the police men walked off to chat, before glaring at the man with poisonous green orbs hidden by dark lashes. He was just straight out pissed off now. He balled his hands into fists tightly as the man spoke, this really had nothing to do with him. "Fine, I'll go back to the ******** hospital" He practically growled, glaring at the man with such intensity that the expression 'if looks could kill' really seemed to fit the situation.
"But you're not getting any contact information from me. I don't consider those people my parents anyways and I doubt they care much for their delinquent no good son" he spat, and he meant it. Since he was little he was always mistreated, which was definitely why he was on this road at the moment. '******** p***k' he cursed silently, his gaze narrowing further as he lowered it to the sidewalk. He hated people who butted into his life like this, it wasn't any of this mans business anyways.
After a few more vulgar words slipping from his mouth he lifted his eyes to meet the others with a steady and very stubborn gaze. This man wasn't playing fair and thus Silas figured he may as well make this as difficult as possible for the man if he wanted to butt into his life. "So are we going to that damn hospital or do you want me to bleed out on the sidewalk" He growled, indicating that he had torn the skin on his arm and it had yet to stop bleeding.

Gregory Shultz "You know it would have been simple for you to say that you didn't want to give me the number for specific reasons regarding your parents. I wouldn't have pressed the matter but you assumed foolishly and fled the hospital without thinking things threw. But no judging, drugs do damage a person's brain." Smiling he pushed off the cruiser and nodded to the officers who walked to their car and put Silas into the back of the car. Greg wasn't going to have Silas bleed all over his seat.
The two drove back to the hospital and now Silas and Greg were back where they started as Greg stopped the bleeding. He glanced at the nurse who was assisting with a couple of things and she left.
Glancing down at Silas he spoke in a respectful tone as usual, "Now then is there anyone you would like to contact? Or do you just want to get treated and be released tomorrow?" Greg didn't mention the cost of being in the ER for a night because he would wave the fee. This kid wouldn't be able to afford it and Greg did see that he had no insurance. His parents were probably careless people.

Silas remained silent on the way back to the hospital, completely ignoring the cops as they scolded him about his drug use and such. Of course they didn't bother asking where he got it from, he wouldn't give up such a good source and they knew it. The stuff in that little baggy was pure. Once at the hospital he chose to ignore the nurse who helped to patch up his arm all the while trying to get him to chat with her, small talk and such. And of course Silas wasn't interested in talking with the woman so he just kept his mouth shut and kept a rather blank look on his face, even when he arm was being disinfected.
"I would've been on my merry way tonight, but someone had to go and call the ******** cops. So if you would so kindly leave me be, I'll be out of here in the morning. Oh, and don't worry about the costs, I can pay for myself" He stated bluntly, and he meant it. Just because he was a runaway didn't mean he didn't have money. Actually his funds were quite sufficient. Why? Inheritance from his grandmother, she'd been the only family member who'd ever treated him right and she hadn't exactly been 'poor' to say the least. Bright emerald green eyes darted away from the pink haired man as a look of extreme annoyance managed to slip onto his face.
It was funny that this man seemed to see Silas as some young kid just cruising down the wrong road. In all honesty, in his mind it might have been better to be dead than alive. The withdrawal from the drugs was really getting to him now but he had grown pretty accustomed to hiding it and thus he actually appeared to be perfectly fine...somehow.

Gregory Shultz "And still no sincere thank you is to be heard, nothing but attitude and horrible manners. You're parents must be a lot worse than I assumed," He retorted with simple shrug as he put the clip board down and pulled out his phone since he had gotten several text messages that he purposely ignored. It really wasn't Silas's fault that he was in such a sad and pathetic state in life, it was never a childs fault where they ended up, it was usually their parents or simply a bad environment they grew up in. Greg grew up in a strict home but with parents who cared enough about him to where he saw no point in rebelling against them or anything teenagers typically did when he was younger. It was the reason why he was so stern and well mannered now. He was always patient or simply brushed off things that tried causing trouble for him. His life was peaceful and he would keep it that way till the day he dies.
"Oh and typically when you find drugs on a person, a person with common sense calls the police. There was no telling if you'd use it or sell it to someone else. Nonetheless I'm sure that if I didn't get you back here you'd end up going home, snorting up some more and then with no one around you'd be dead. I mean if you feel like death is something you want then I can go and get the psychologist down here. You might need one." He looked at the young man with a blank expression then looked back at his phone and finally replied.

Silas couldn't stop a chuckle from slipping from his lips, just who was this guy? A preacher? Honestly, he should be like the pope or something. "Let me guess, happy home? Good grades? prefect life?" He stated, everything about his demeanor pleasant except for the hostility in his eyes. "So don't preach to me Mr.perfect. But could you do me a small favor and get out? I'd like to get to sleep so that morning will come faster and I can get the hell out of here." He stated, the pleasant expression dropping in an instant.
"Ah, and considering you found me due to a overdose, i think it's pretty safe to say that I was planning on using those. I'll just get some more anyways" He stated nonchalantly, kicking his legs up on to the hospital bed and laying down on his side so that he was facing away from the man. He then proceeded to close his eyes and completely shun the existence of the man until he actually did fall asleep.

"There's no such thing as perfect anything, but anyway I'm just here doing my job, what you do after you leave the hospital with being properly released then you are no longer a thought in my mind. But I do suggest you overdose in the comforts of your own shack, that way no one will try and save someone who doesn't want to live. Best to save the oxygen for the others who don't play victim all their life." As he started to walk off he quickly added, "Oh and depending how long you want your body to rot in a room, use some air freshener so that odor isn't so strong. That will buy your body some time to really bloat up and all that wonderful things." A smile cracked on his face as he left the room and as he did he shed his coat off and was off.
Back in his car he drove home to his nice expensive condo where there was a car parked in the drive way. He sighed heavily and got out and entered his home where he was greeted by a beautiful tall woman with a bottle of champagne in her hand. He still couldn't understand how she was still around. He was certain he broke up with her a week ago.

It didn't take long for a week to pass, and Silas actually seemed to moderate his...drug intake, in fact, currently he was four days clean. However, fate just seemed to hate him or something because he ended up running into a gang fight and got a good slice down his arm, as well as a broken rib or...two. And now he was being taken to the hospital by a emergency vehicle and he was far from pleased. A scowl remained plastered on his face the whole way, despite the pain he was currently in. And once he was in the hospital he simply laid there basically chanting 'please let it not be him' in his head over and over. He really did not want to run into that man again.
What was worse was the fact that he'd probably assume that Silas was also a part of a gang or something. All he had been doing was going back 'home' but nooo, they decided to make him just one more victim. When the nurse came in to inspect his injuries he hissed in pain as she lifted his arm to disinfect the long gash that started just below his elbow and continued down to his wrist. She informed him he would need stitches which made him sick...out of all things, he hated needles. Just having that IV in his a week ago had made him feel sick...which was one of the reasons he'd simply pulled it out. "Peachy" He grumbled, at least watching his language around the nurse. He shouldn't be hostile towards her...the pink haired doctor however...well he just didn't like that man one bit.
Once the nurse left to fetch the doctor he slammed his head back into the pillow "********, ******** ********" He growled, gritting his teeth as he glared up at the ceiling. He couldn't go back to his usual place, she liked him when he was 'pretty' not all beat up like this. He was pretty sure his lip was split, he had some broken ribs and the cut in his arm was still bleeding. He'd likely need another IV and hey, if that doctor showed up again that would just be the icing on the cake now wouldn't it?

Gregory Shultz It so happen that the ER was usually short on doctors whenever there was a lot of patents and today happen to be one of those. Greg was currently in surgery, finally stitching up the incision he had made in a man's back after he went into cut out a piece of possible tumor on the man's spinal cord. Then again if he was lucky diagnostics would simply show that it was nothing more than inflamed tissue. walking out he thanked the nurses who were in there helping and the man was rolled off to a recovery room. As he got to his office he grabbed a cup of coffee and then got a call. Picking up the phone a nurse from the ER was asking if there were any available surgeons and he replied with a no, other than him and then she asked for his help. He would do so but only with what he knew he could do.
Heading down he was given some folders and when to take care of the easy patients and at long last he got to one particular individual. He was very curious to see why Silas was here again and so he read on and read what the injuries were. Walking over to the bed he grabbed the clipboard and walked in past the curtains.
"I'm Dr. Shultz, I'll be taking a look at you though all you'll need is stitches and an x-ray to see the shape of your rib. If it's just cracked slightly then we'll just give you pain killers and you'll have to be careful and allow your bone to heal. Any questions or concerns you might have?" He looked at the young man and pretty much pretended as if they never knew one another. He was here to do his job after all.

And look who it was, his ever so favorite doctor come to be a p***k and pretend he'd never seen him before "Thank you for that captain obvious." He stated harshly, ignoring the sharp pain in his rib, though he did end up inhaling sharply due to it and holding his breath as a nice burst of pain shot through him. "But trust me, at least one is broken." He stated bluntly, breathing through the pain...somehow. All he would need was stitches? Was this guy for real? He'd need at least ten if not more for the cut on his arm, and it would be obvious his rib was broken if he saw the lovely bruise which somewhat resembled a fist on his stomach.
"Oh, cut the bullshit of acting like you don't know me. I at least know one thing, doctors remember their patients pretty damn well- Dr.Shultz" He grumbled, though he couldn't stop a wince from escaping him as he tried to inhale deeply, finding that the whole broken rib thing was really getting annoying. "But hey, i'm currently bleeding out on the hospital floor- So my question would be are we going to get this over with or not? I'd love to get out of the hospital in....oh a few hours at the latest. Gotta go find a place to stay for a few weeks after all" He stated bluntly as he tore his gaze away and simply stared with a emotionless expression at the ceiling.
He was currently trying to figure in how many places there would be that he could stay, which was limited right now due to his current condition. Some people liked him, but not enough to put him up for the night, and especially not for a few weeks.
