TL;DR: I had a bad day today...
So I just had my first day of high school.
I already hate it.
It could be that I only had five days of summer break before jumping right back in, or the school just sucks. Or both. Probably both.
Oh, and keep in mind that I go to an online school, and I'm already pissed off at the school for f*cking me over so hard that I only got five days of summer. So that doesn't really help, either.
So, I've been doing school on this site since 5th grade, and kindergarten-8th grade is all the same set up and sh*t. But once you're in high school, the site and set up change drastically. I had the luxury of having a sister who's already done three years of that, so if I get confused or lost, then I can ask her.
But one of my damn teachers confused the hell out of me as to what I was supposed to do today. I did an entire week of work thinking it was just the first day's work.
Oh, and two of my, apparently required, classes are Personal Finance (the one that confused me), and Computer Literacy. I know that personal finance is probably important, but there was this thing called Course Overview that basically told me how to access the internet (I don't know why they thought we couldn't do that, we kinda needed to know how to get into the internet to even see the damn thing in the first place), make a folder, make a sub-folder, access the folders, how to zip and unzip files/folders, how to find and use the Start menu, how to find the Local Disk, and so on. The computer literacy class had the exact same thing. Same text, same everything. All except they told me how to take a screen shot! =D
Because teenagers don't know how to use a computer! We're actually doing productive things, and playing outside, paying no attention to technology whatsoever, am I right?!
Oh, but guess what I did all on my own, without them having to show me?
For my computer literacy class, they wanted me to download a zip file folder that they gave me, and save it to my desktop, and then take a screenshot of it, and send it to them. Well, prior to knowing this, I created a folder called "School Crap", and changed the icon to... that circle with a cross through it thingy... whatever you call that... I also saved the file they wanted me to save inside that folder... Anyway, so I figured my teacher wouldn't want to see that, so I actually, on my own, dragged the folder onto the desktop, renamed the other folder to just "School", and changed the icon back to an actual folder! I'm so proud of me!!!!!!111!1!11!!
I also apparently don't know what file types are, or how to change them, or how to know what kind of file something is... I mean, I don't draw everyday, so I don't change the files from a .sai file to a .png. Nor do I change .jpeg to .png. I've also never made a .doc/.docx, or a .txt, or a .tiff, Hell I've never even used a .pdf. And I, actually honestly, never really use .mpeg, but I know what it is.
Well, I'm done ranting and complaining... You know this year is going to be amazing when you already hate it on the very first day!
