Getting out of bed lately felt like a chore but even so, he knew he had to or else. Besides he hadn't worked his a** off for the past few years to have laziness deplete his hard-earned muscle mass. After a groan and a shot at the alarm clock, Layne finally rolled out and straight into the floor.
Thump.
Laying in the floor, he looked all of one big heap of hot mess. Said mess that was soon harassed by the foot of his elder brother. Hissing in annoyance, he tried to claw the foot from under the blanket pile only to get his fingers stepped on in punishment. Stevie was currently grinning like the Cheshire cat above him, arms folded and waiting with the look that Piper knew to well.
"Ow, sonuvabitch!" He groaned flipping his loving brother off oh so affectionately and growling soon after with a rub over his eye, "I'm up for tha love of god." Stevie apparently hadn't thought this was enough considering he was soon ripping the blankets off of him and tossing them on the bed. Layne of course was only grinning, watching on as his brother recoiled from the naked body before him. "Aint I told ya ta never touch my s**t?" It wasn't like he hadn't warned Stevie before, besides he was pretty sure with all the baths they had taken together, when younger, this wasn't anything new to him.
That and the fact that his brother was gay, so really did he have to react like he had just seen their dead grandma naked?
Layne's smirk was now running his face as Stevie fled the room but not without the sweet parting words for him to look for a job. Pft a job. He snarled telling himself that he would find one when he was good and ready. Besides it wasn't as if he wasn't dying to get from under the thumb so to speak, just there weren't many good options. Though, thinking back he had passed a really sweet looking gym this last week. One with really hot employees, which was a plus in his book.
Plan in mind he put it to motion, kicking up out of the floor and dressing within five minutes. Slapping on some body spray he checked his rings, twirled them then headed out the door. Fresh or fresh enough considering all he did yesterday was lazy around the house.
It wasn't long before Layne was pushing through the gym door, ducking and covering to avoid the front desk and the people he would likely have to pay. He wanted to explore the place a little after all first, then maybe apply after. Shoving his hands in his pockets to look as casual as possible, he started around eyeing all the machines and the people as he passed them. The place was big enough but where was the - oh snap was that a boxing ring! Layne's signature smirk was back as he bounded over to the ring, watching the current round that was going.
Beejoux HI ! I did something, ignore how horrible my openings are.

If some smirking stranger thought they were just going to waltz into Po's gym, they had another thing coming. Maybe if the place was bigger, or attracted more young folks, the punk of a teen would have gone unnoticed. Unfortunately for Layne, this was a rather tight knit little establishment, and the youngest person to frequent it also happened to work there and spent a great deal of time there. She knew all the members. This guy with his bold hair cut and lovely piercings was not in the books. Coal eyes watched him as he slipped past Gus at the front counter and let himself into the main area of the gym. Porsha was wrapping her left hand, winding tape around her wrist and between her fingers before binding her hand entirely. When she was finished she bit it off, tucked the corner, and pulled on a pair of finger less gloves. Long fingers flexing before she stepped around the heavy bag she'd been about to work over and made her way towards the stranger. She never wore much when she worked out, and today was no different. High slit shorts rested on her hips. Black with green piping. She was also wearing grey sports bra with a loose, violet tank top over top of it. Since she hadn't started her work out yet her hair was till nicely voluminous and moved as she walked. "I haven't seen you before, are you new?" Straight, to the point. She tended to favor the direct approach to things. "We don't get a lot of the younger generation here. Not enough amenities." They didn't have a pool, they didn't have top of the line machines or a tanning beds. There was no smoothie bar. But there was a boxing ring, and there were multiple heavy bags set up. They had a connection to the local MMA league, and being privately owned, weren't opposed to trading memberships for people willing to work for the gym itself. It wasn't fancy, but it had everything Porsha Webber had been looking for in a gym. They'd never had such a loyal employee.

The more he looked around the more he realized that it was an old folks home, however he was more than willing to forgive this considering that some of the old folks could box. That and thinking about it really the place being so small and void of much life that wasn't near its end, meant less crowds to fight off. That was something he could really get into, less hassle when needing to relieve some stress, not that he planned on paying if it was this easy to get in.
Moving a hand up towards his chin, he let it rest there as he watched the current match. Thoughts drifting off from the gym in general and focusing in on the moves of the match. Not a bad form, that guy would be pretty good if he just tucked his elbow in a - His judgmental thoughts paused as someone approached him.
Turning with a less than amused look he eye'd the girl who questioned him. Really? Out of all of the employees to notice him, he got the bra? At least she was sexy, seeing how far he could push he all but ignored her questioning. Moving away from her he made himself at home and moved up into the newly empty boxing ring. He had planned on heckling the last guy standing into a match but if she wanted to call him out, why not, this day and age was all about equal rights, right?
"Eh, way I figure..s'got enough fer me.." Glancing back down to the girl he smirks and teases a little, "nice fashion statement' yanno how or just like tha feel of fingerless gloves, girly?" Yes it was a challenge, and maybe if he gave that sweet little mouth a tap she would shut it on him being a sneak in. If not it would just be fun to manhandle her a bit.

Violet brows shot up as he made eye contact then blatantly ignored her question so he could climb up into the empty boxing ring. It left her lips twisting in irritation, arms coming up to fold beneath her breasts as she as trailed after him. When he glanced back down at her he'd be met with narrow eyed smile that was only about a quarter amused. It was hard to argue with his logic considering it was exactly how she felt on the matter, so she didn't even try. Instead she uncurled her arms so she could place her gloved hands on her hips. That sounded an awful lot like a challenge. "Yeah, looks pretty bad a**, right?" The irritation melted away as she smirked, head tilting so her bangs fell over the left side of her face. "I got the basics," she offered up. It wasn't technically a lie, she did know the basics, but that didn't even come close to the scope of her abilities. She accepted his challenge by way of hoisting herself up and into the ring. Usually she was a little more forthcoming with her opponents on just what they were coming up against, but usually those opponents didn't sneak into her gym or call her 'girly'. Removing that smug grin from his face would be very satisfying. Petty, but true. "Come at me, bro," she mused, chuckling before dropping into a ready stance. Either hand up and loose, waiting.

That's right babe get pissed, he encouraged the twisted lip feature on the girls face in his mind. It was always funnier to box the ones he could piss off after all. Entering the ring a thrill came over his body, shivering slightly though the gesture was likely unseen by the untrained eye. It had been a few weeks since he had time to get into the ring. Fighting was now like a primal instinct to him, like eating or drinking he needed it. As such the thrill of a possible fight with the unknown woman had him chinning up as she folded her arms under her breast, which while and awesome ******** sight, not what he was waiting for.
"Yuh-huh, aint too damn bad..." Snorting he waited and much to his pleasure waiting turned out to be worth it when she climbed up into the ring with him. Not only that he was almost nearly sure that he had caught some amusement there, which meant one of two things; she thought he was playing or she might be worth the wasted breath of his challenge. Either of which he could and would work with of course, though part of him wanted her to think he was playing just to knock that little smile off her face. It was irritating when bitches thought he was kidding. Then she gave it up and his grin only went wider, basics huh.
s**t this was going to be fun, it always made him feel a little better to knock around a novice.
"Hope ya got sum sick days, bro, cause yer bout'ta go home all doc'er up" he chuckled back just as amused and maybe throwing in a little trash talk for the hell of it. Stormy grey-blues lit up with mirth when she established ground on him and waited. So she wanted him to be the aggressor? Not a damn problem. Smirking he pulled his own hands up high keeping his elbows low as he moved in on her, though slowly. A stance and approach that likely gave away he knew what he was doing. Layne knowing not to rush full on, went step by step and made sure he had enough distance for a left pivot in case the girl got antsy. As he got within a good distance Layne threw a three-series jab towards her body, attempting to probe her defense and see if he could gauge a reaction time. Within the first few seconds he was grinning from ear to ear, a rather strange and dark grin that probably gave away his pleasure to cause legal pain.

God, he was cocky s**t, but from the way he held himself, the way he moved slowly towards her, she could glean that he at least knew what he was doing. He'd be a decent challenge, she could tell, but what had her smiling oh so sweetly at him as he crept ever closer was knowing just how bruised that big ego was going to be by the end of their match. Porsha played to win, and it had been sometime since anyone worthy had stepped into her ring. The regulars knew better, and as she'd said before, they didn't get a lot of new faces around here. She would enjoy bloodying this new face. She would enjoy it very much. The careful, harmless mask crumbled as he came at her and she deflected his first jab with little more effort then swatting away a fly, swiping his arm away with her own as she rolled forward on the balls of her feet. The second jab was simply avoided. Fist breezing harmlessly over her shoulder as she bobbed down and to the side. The third connected, but not solidly. She folded around his fist, hands closing around his wrist before she was turning away from him and taking his arm with her, twisting it back and to the side and using it as a level to gain some distance before darting back in to bring the closed ridge of her knuckles up against the curve of his jaw, then dancing back and out of reach to avoid any blind swipe that might have followed. "You'll have to try harder then that if you wanna see me all doc'er up, bro." The gloves were off, the act was over. She was a predator, a force to be reckoned, and she would make him regret his folly. Out side the ring the regulars had begun to gather. Wagers were made, and money exchanged hands. It was always worth watching when someone stepped up to challenge Poe.

Given he was testing the waters with light snappy jabs he wasn't to psyched when the girl deflected his first blow, but given he sped up around the second and even threw his weight into the third? Layne knew something was up by the last strike, basics his a**. Even if the hit landed on the third jab he could tell it hadn't hit with full power behind it, mostly since she easily snatched his wrist. An attempted to pull down and unlock was given but granted she was turning in to knuckle him by that time nothing came of the release attempt.
Layne obviously felt the hit to his jaw by the wince that passed his features, but given this was his eighth year of boxing, he was by no means a glass jaw boxer. More of a Swarmer in all honesty, so while the hit wasn't simply brushed off it was grinned off with an oh so attractive spit of saliva to the mat. He had no doubt a bruise would be there, which was a little freaky given her size. Powerhouse? Damn. While his mind raced his real focus was never lost, following the woman's form as she danced back out of reach. On a deep breath a movement of his head started up in a bob, a hopeful attempt at distraction as his feet played opposite and started to close in on her again.
"Basics m'a**..babe whadda packin?" He replied in a snickering tone to the woman, amused she was going to slam him back. Girl hit like a sack of bricks he mused. Layne was ready to get serious as well, even if he couldn't read her, the previous sock was to much of a thrill to have him pondering for long. Cocky as ever he snorted body dancing left to right then as he closed in switching to right to left to disorientate, Layne was a left-hander and had been previously jabbing at her with his right. Hoping to cause confusion he laid in making sure not to lose his sight on her even has his head tucked down, still moving waiting for the hits he'd likely take while closing the distance.
With his head leaned in he attempted to smother the woman, going for her body first in a furry of short uppercuts to the torso with switch handed hooks, rotating the punches strengths from light to hard for more of an overwhelming effect. Banking on the intensity and sheer number of fast strikes, the pattern of his hits a 3-2-3, three to the body, two for the head, three back to the body. It was a style he had learned at the Y from a boxer that beat his a** for nearly three years till he picked up on the style himself. The only problem with said style being that it wore him out quicker than most, though given it only took a few short burst to get most opponents down he wasn't worried, at least not yet. All the while since he was nowhere near as fast on his feet as some, Layne bobbed and weaved, going side to side trying to absorb any punches that were countered back at him and evade too much damage.
Breathing out with each punch was how he gauged himself, when his breaths started to get more ragged he knew it was time pull back but pride be damned he didn't instead he threw a hard fake right, left towards the woman's side, aiming directly for the ribs and turning his whole body into the punch for more power should the strike land. Hurt, he wanted to hurt her, not for any other reason and to do such though. It was one of the dangers in fighting with Layne, he tended to lose himself to anger. Beejoux ID SO. I was captured yesterday ;; <33 sorry my dear. ALSO forgive, its been awhile since I 'fought' lolol <3

She was grinning as that wince cut across is features, and grey eyes followed the arc or the spit before it hit the mat. "Classy." Now that she didn't have to pretend any more she'd fallen back into an easy crouch, comfortable and familiar. Not anything concretely connected with any one school of training, but a hybrid, something evolved and adapted over time and experience. He started forward, and she mirrored his steps. One foot sliding back for everyone one he moved closer. Not a retreat, but to maintain their careful distance while she considered him. He was no amateur. The cockiness that seemed to ooze out of every pore was, unfortunately, hard won. If she wanted to beat him it wasn't going to be the quick exchange she'd originally planned. This was both annoying, and to a much greater extent, exciting. Porsha always did love a real challenge. "Eight years of boxing, 3 years of various martial arts, a life-time of brawling. That's what I'm packin', babe." She grinned at him, feral and dangerous, then he was moving again, bouncing back and force. He certainly moved like a boxer, that was for sure, but if he thought a little fancy foot work was going to steal away Po's focus he was in for a painful surprise. The flurry of blows was a good maneuver, and the girl was pulling her in to protect her body, head dipping low beneath the cover of her left arm as she moved to make herself an even smaller target as she absorbed the hits with those less vulnerable bits of her body. Arms, ribs, shoulders. She let him beat on her, let him work himself up, and she kept her body solid, core tight, and took it. 3-2-3, nice rotation, an easy rotation. A predictable rotation. There was strength in those blows, she could feel it down to her bones, and she knew her arms would look spectacular come morning. Full sleeves of purple and yellow, from shoulders to wrists. She didn't care. Opening herself up would have been a bad move. It would have given him a chance to hit something vital, and with the power she felt with every hit to arm or the side she knew a clock to the face would have done her no favors. But the hits were getting lighter, not the varying intensity they'd been in the beginning, but steadily less brutal, slower. He was getting tired. All she had to do was wait him out. There were whistles from the sidelines. Cries of encouragement or jeering remarks. Porsha ignored it all, attention focused down on the man she was facing, on the raise and fall of her own breath, and on the beat and pulse of the body that was assaulting her. She took her time, and paid attention. When the rhythm changed she was ready, and as his body turned her's turned with it. Arms came down to sweep his punch back and away, and her opposite leg came up, knee aiming for his stomach. It wasn't a boxing move. It wasn't even sanctioned in a proper match, but Porsha wasn't just a boxer, and they hadn't taken the time to establish any ground rules.

There that was it, a wicked grin flashed when the veil fully dropped and her experience was known. b***h, dirty b***h, she had set him up. Nice. A smirk trickled passed his lips before the more serious determined expression took over. Foot work started he remained focused, plan still a go since no amount of said experience would detour him. He wanted this, wanted to test and push and see if she could live up to the game she was spitting. More than that he longed for a challenge again, even if it meant getting his nose broke and lips busted open. Even if it meant losing in a pile of shame on the mat he just spat on.
Nothing was going to persuade him to stop now not even the jeers from the crowd that were clearly all behind the woman before him. Nothing. 3-2-3 he stuck to what he knew, going in full force and switching in his rotation. The only problem with that was he could tell she was steering his hits. When he aimed for her head much to his displeasure he got an arm, when he went for torso he got a turned shoulder. Growling he tried to keep his head level, but his hot temper was coming into play. Pushing still he started to take the advantage where he could get it, putting full force on the ribs when he was able to catch them, beating into her hard even if it was on her arms.
The plan had turned from pummel into weakening her limbs. If she was going to steer him, he'd make her paid for allowing him to beat her. Punch after punch he aimed for the bones on the woman, when she threw up an arm he would attempt to catch wrist or inner elbow. Piper was aiming to weaken any hits she would throw back by bruising the muscles behind them, cursing the while in his head as she absorbed most of what he hit with what looked like ease. His knuckles were aching, burning and threatening to split open since he hadn't taken the time to previously prepare.
It was like ******** punching RoboCop, the girl was sick and skill and damned if that wasn't crystal clear by now. Still though he couldn't stand it, even if she was he wouldn't just lay down and take defeat. No way in hell, she was going to have to hurt him to get him to stop. Grinning now just as dangerously back , even through his fatigue, he threw the hard fake. Hissing as it was deflected he didn't think to tighten back so when the knee caught him in the chest Piper dropped to the mat like a sack of wet dog food.
BAM! The crowd roared, clearly pleased to see him finally taking a little punishment.
Pain radiated though his body, burning from the hit outward and taking his breath away with it."Bitccccch." He wheezed harshly, though the word normally something degrading and insulting there was a sort of affection behind his tone, clearly it was meant as a twisted compliment. That was not boxing, that was cheap, that was low, that was invigorating. Piper peered up towards the leggy woman, on a half grin- half wince, instead of completely pissed like most boxers would have been he all but showed his delight for the underhanded move. Even if he was coughing now to catch his breath and features slowly twisting from delight to pain again, muscles shifted and shakily he pushed back up from his knees, sliding back into a weakened crouched position, waiting for her to come at him. "Tha all ya got, doll?" He cooed tauntingly, even through the burning sensation in his chest, which he really hoped was not a fracture.
Piper tried to not look as worn out as he was, tried to keep a calm from through the pain and fatigue. Though there was now no doubt in his mind that he was going to lose this round but that didn't mean it was over yet. Not yet. He needed to know what he was going to have to work to beat.. Beejoux *brain dead* ;; I'm so sorrry breaaak his nose PO. It's the only way. Then you can shining armor him by popping it back into place..

The insult--or was it a compliment?--was music to her ears as the breath wheezed out of the young man that dropped to his knees at her feet. She stood above him and smiled, feigning an innocence that was absolute obscene in this moment. He'd brought this all down upon himself. This punishment. He'd earned it, and she was enjoy dishing it out to him. Immensely. This was her house. A c**k o fher head followed the challenge and she couldn't help but chuckle as she took a half step back from him to fall back into that easy crouch again. "Oh baby, not by half." Condescension dropped from every vowel, but it was nothing to that smile. That sugary sweet, mocking smile she directed down at him. Every move, every step, she was playing with him. He was good, but she was still better, and she would grind that fact home one way or enough. If he wanted to see what she could do, then Porsha was happy to show him. "Don't say I didn't warn you, Sweetheart." Her movements were almost a blur as her shoulders turned, left arm dropping back before a cocked fist came arching at him from the side, blasting him in the cheek. She didn't aim for his face, she aimed for a point six inches beyond it. Knuckles turning at the last possible second to really drive the hit home. But that was only a prequel. She didn't give him time to recover before she came at him from the right, throwing her entire shoulder into the hit, slim body rotating with it. She didn't just want to beat him, she wanted to lay him out. To make him kiss the mat he'd spat on. To add that crimson shock of blood to the worn blue beneath them. It wasn't just about pride, or defending the gym she loved. She would dominate him. The jarring shock of her knuckles connecting with his face was a thrill. The sick crunch of cartridge beneath her fist was more satisfying then she would ever know how to explain. This was what she lived for, what she yearned for.

Stormy grey-blues settled on the crouching woman, watching her form for any sign of weakness but falling short. "Damn," he cursed under his breath at the reply, a sharp suck given to his teeth, an annoyed gesture that was becoming more of a habit. At the 'warning' his eyes narrowed and body tightened, a bad move but instinct. Try as he might he couldn't even make out the hit to fend it off, in mere moments she had broken through his fatigued barrier and struck, hard.
Hard enough for his ears to ring when the hit connected. Piper had basically no time to react for defense since by the time the hit registered her knuckles were turning to drive in deeper, the cherry on top of the strike that had his eye feeling like it would pop from socket. A clearly pained expression cut across his features but he didn't yell out in pain, though his lips twisted ensuring he was simply holding it in to not give her the satisfaction of a screamed curse.
When the woman pulled back he saw two of her and then promptly nothing when tears clouded his eyes. Layne's breath came out on a loud hiss when a second unmistakable cartridge crunching hit shocked his body into falling limp and to the worn mat. As he went down a crimson spray erupted from both nostrils, decorating the mat like a splat art canvas. Laying now half twisted he felt a pool of hot liquid forming, the copper smell he sucked back up and promptly coughed out telling him it was blood. As if the pain hadn't been enough the smell alone reassured him that his nose wasn't just throbbing for the hell of it, b***h had broken his nose.
The crowd was ecstatic, <******** nuts, apparently the drawing of blood none to shocking for this crowd. On a groan he snickered, finally opening an eye as a copious amount of blood still flowed freely from his nose, "hope ya gotta towel handy." Damn his face hurt, that had been the single most painful break he had experienced, enough so that tears were still pouring from his eyes. Rolling on a groan he takes a seat, hand smearing into his own blood as he flicks whats running down his face off and to the mat. There was no doubt that the entire center of his face would be swollen, though he was glad that the punch hadn't hit high enough to snag his piercings, that would have been a whole new world of pain.
It didn't take long for the bleeding to stop, mostly due to the pressure he was currently putting on it, fingers pinched around the break and eyes wincing as pain rocked him for the attempt. Someone from the crowd tossed up a towel to him and his free hand clutched it making more of a mess as he tried to clean himself up. Grinning around his bloody fingers he peered up to the woman, a respectful chin lift given to her before he cringed and moved his hand from his nose, a clicking wheeze sounding as he drew in a breath. "Snap'is sucker back in fer me, ann'ah might mop up m'own blood?" By all means he loved dishing out pain, but self hurt was never his style, so the thought of attempting to fix his own nose was only making him cringe.

He didn't make a sound as his nose burst like a ripe tomato under her hand and sent him down hard on the mat. No howl of pain, no curse, nothing. It was almost disappointing. Almost. If not for that glitter of tears rolling down her cheeks. He could pretend it didn't hurt all he wanted, but his body wouldn't lie for him. It betrayed the pain, spoke volumes where words did not. It told her everything she wanted to hear. "Oh sweetheart," she gushed, lovely features falling in lines of sympathy as she crouched before him, balancing on the balls of her feet as she met those watering eyes and that pain filled grin. "You're an absolute mess." Whatever kindness her voice betrayed melted away before she'd reached the last syllable. It left silver eyes cold and glittering as she smiled at him. Her head tipped to one side, spilling violet hair over her shoulder, as he asked her to snap his nose back in place for him, and she smirked. "What's the matter, can't do it yourself?" Without so much as an afterthought at the blood she catch the side of the towel and pulled it away. "You're gunna need more towels to clean this all up. You made one hell of a mess." She scoffed, dropping the bloody towel on the equally bloody mat. Then she brought her hands up to cup his cheeks, tipping his head back so she could give his nose a proper look over. She'd really done a number on that pretty face. What a shame. "Hold still," was the only warning he got before she set the pad of either thumb against the sides of his nose a pushed, forcing the cartridge back into place with a sound equally as sickening as it'd made when she'd busted it. "So what's your name?"

That sympathy, oh boy that sympathy, he didn't buy it not for a minute. So when the cold broke free in her tone his grin only hardened. This chick was bananas, nuts, full-blown psycho wasn't she? So ...hot. It wasn't often he found a girl who could kick his a** and turn him on all in the same sense. Shaking his head he watched her lazily, visibly giving away no signs of his inner admiration.
Maybe this was what people called a sign, if not he sure knew what people meant by a kick in the teeth now. "Rather'not." He replied a bit gruffly, spitting into the towel she tossed to the side, then his white teeth red washed in blood flashed a wolf like smirk up to her silver eye and left it at simply that. He would rather someone else do, always had. Felt better that way, real, just right.
Blinking back tears and rolling a few more free Layne settled into the cup of his cheeks. He had to wonder while she inspected him just what she was thinking but more than that his thoughts trailed towards his nose rings, and if they were still in tact. That would be a pain in the a** to explain to the guys at the tattoo place, and not a conversation he was going to look forward too, considering it was one they all had not to long ago. To think a guy would get pissed off about a demand of a replacement, it wasn't his fault the metal was cheap and busted.
"Yup," he winced at the warning which was about as far as instinct got before crunch, just like a tooth being pulled by your best friend, Layne was forced back into reality by the sudden shove of cartridge. Stormy eyes bugged slightly before blinking back to size on a hiss, "hot damn you sure know how'da use dem hands honey."
Taking a moment his head pulled back, arms pushing at the mat to hoist himself up. Once standing he looked around at all the grinning patron faces before rolling his eye and glancing back to the woman, he'd been beat and hell if he ran now he'd trip on his own blood and that would be more of an embarrassment. Defeated he offered on a bend down to pick up the mop that one of the regulars had brought over, "name's Layne but people call me Piper. Bout you?" She tried not to smile at the wince and the following bug-eyed flash of pain that took over his features when she'd shoved his nose back into place, but she probably didn't manage it. Specially not as she mimicked his hiss, chuckling softly under her breath at the innuendo laced compliment. "I should hope so, this isn't the first nose I've set." As he pushed himself up she straightened as well, tucking her thumbs into the band of her shorts as her hands came to rest on her hips. She was definitely grinning now, specially as one of the regulars handed up a mop to the young man. Layne, no Piper. "I'm Porsha, or Po if you'd rather." She nudged the blood soaked towel with the toe of her trainers, kicking it off the mat and towards a bin of other dirty linens. "And if you haven't figure it out by now, this is my house." Not literally, obviously, but there wasn't a single contesting remark from the men standing around the ring. "I'm the boxing instructor." Recently promoted from gym volunteer after the older teacher had retired earlier that year. She had however, been lending her skills in the ring for years. Now that the fight was over, the regulars began to wander back to what they;d been doing before Piper had wandered in and unwittingly crawled into the ring with their star employee. She offered a grin here or there when a compliment floated up to her, but after a moment they were relatively alone, and her attention returned in full to the young man. "You know your stuff," she offered easily, tone implying she was mildly impressed. "How long have you been boxing?" He had skill, there was certainly no denying that, and a delightfully wicked little idea was forming at the back of her mind. The Negaverse was always looking for new talent. Tenacious, talented individuals who weren't afraid to get their hands dirty in order to do what needed to be done. Piper would make a good addition, probably. He'd fall into that role easily, probably eagerly. It would give him ample opportunity to test himself.

He just laughed when she bothered to return banter and even laughed, knowing the innuendo wasn't lost. Grinning all the more, Layne rolled his shoulders out feeling the ache of lactic acid since he hadn't bothered to stretch before his beat down. On a slow shake of his head he made note of the name, settling with Po since it was easier for his lazy a**. "Po it is. " He commented cheekily with a wink to the woman.
"No s**t?" Layne couldn't help but reply with a bite of sarcasm as he held the mop and wiped his nose of the end of his sleeve. He could hear Stevie ring his a** a new one already about the stains. Her house, huh, so that meant she was more than a set of legs around the joint right? Before Layne could ask though he got his answer, a smirk peeling his blood cracked lips back to curl at the edges again. Boxing instructor. Why wasn't his as sexy, ruthless with instructions? Clearly he was going to the wrong place, damn community center.
Leaning against the mop he watched as the crowd around them thinned to basically no one. After a glance over the mat he kicked the end of the mop with his foot, much like he would his skateboard and started to clean. Turning to Po from time to time as he pushed to respond to her, "most of et a'leas." There were still a few things he didn't know, to that he would own up, if only because someone who was an instructor would likely know anyways. Snorting he paused his mopping and pretended to count the years on both hands just to be a smartass, when asked how long he had been into boxing. "Hah, bout eight years, bout you? " Longer, shorter? He'd be pretty pissed if it was the later, his forced grin all but gave that away.
A few more pushes of the mop and he was handing it back down to one of the workers of the joint, finished and dying of thirst or more so dying to get the taste of copper out of his mouth. "Listen, Id be glad ta shoot s**t with you gurl but do ya'know gud place for drinks?" Charming as ever, or so he thought, Lyane attempted to steal more of her time and aid himself in the process.
