            This is not a place for suggesting themes.


            Take a moment to consider what might improve the next ball either by changing something that was done or adding something new. Think of how where and how we might improve and let us know here!
            Some of our suggestions last year ended up being very handy, like the floating co-hosts. So if you have a suggestion then don' be shy, we want to hear from you.

I dunno if this belongs here, since it's directed at the Guild and not the Ball, but I think you guys would benefit from some stronger structuring, organization, and standardization of the Guild process. Normally, I'd say this is an absolutely must for something so large and important, but you guys someehow manage extremely well just throwing yourselves into it. Must have a really amazing group of people here. o.o

Things like if everything was listed and clearly marked in a standard location in each forum, and each thing diligently updated and such, things would be a little easier to keep straight. (Even if you main guys apparently don't need it. o.o)

Just a thought. redface I hope I don't sound too presumptuous. D:



Oh, and I'd like to suggest Robayn stop using the announcements as her personal bully pulpit to influence us poor underlings as she's not even Main Host anymore. emotion_donotwant

its fine to have this here, though the guild once we work out the new main host and theme (with co-hosts), gets much more organised.
this guild has only been in use for today, if you look up older guilds for the ball ( if still accessible) it will give you an idea on how we normally have things set up.

as for Ro.... we did try and stop her... i swear ;^; though i also may have given her the idea by accident...

I know things work out, but things could stand to be a little more structured in the long run. It might be a little bit more work, but it's a bit safer. Especially with everyone having things come up like they did, if everyone around here wasn't so awesome at what they do, and someone important couldn't give notice and disappeared without a word, things could possible go a little awry. Having everything important stored away in a specific place would be more clear and secure, you know what I mean?

And now I'm rambling and feel even more like I'm being pushy and inappropriate. gonk

-scratches head- i guess im used to it, i never really had any problems in finding things but for all the important stuff, there is a couple of guild forums that are only accessible if your captain/vice-capt/crewmember. and we store the needed information there so people dont have to go searching for it. though most people that disappear and are somewhat important, know when and tell us.

but for the main funds thread, we probably should have had that up, so thank you.

its okay to ramble, trust me i do it all the time, gets my thoughts known, even if they have to listen to a 10min speech to hear a few points

Things get a little muddled to the average member with stuff going on in Crew Areas too, I guess.

It's just a suggestion, I'm not meaning to try to turn everything on its head or anything. D: Don't mind me.

And I've gone ahead and started a Fund's thread for this year too, I don't think anyone will mind.

I suggested it before, but I'll suggest it again officially now:

I would like to suggest a new role for the next ball called "Advisor", the role would be the same as a floating co-host, except they will be based primarily in a Specified Question and Answer thread. This way we could focus all Questions on one place and save the hosts a lot of time answering questions that the other staff could answer instead.
This person would have to be quite knowledgeable about the ball and preferably be someone who is on quite often during the ball. When the Advisor isn't on, then the thread could be watched by staff who have time.

Seriously, have the floating co-hosts again. But this time until waiting for someone to step down that still wants to help, we should probably assign the person early on to be in charge of it. I know that it was pretty easy on me being all by myself running it.

I'd also say that the floating co-hosts, and you might as well call the person in charge of them the floating host, should be in charge of making a questions and answer thread. They don't need to roleplay in it, but a thread stating who we are, and some other things might be useful. We might even get some questions to add to our F.A.Q.

As far as organization, I'd say to possibly have more meetings with the hosts, just so everyone's on the same page. Some of the best ideas come out of the Chatango room meetings.

With fundraising, we definitely need someone who will be right on top of it, since I feel like last year it really wasn't pushed. Like, have shop sign-ups, make sure people know that they can sign up midyear for stuff.

I also feel as though we should have more hangouts during the course of the ball. Maybe each host agrees to have a space in Towns or Towns 2 where people can socialize in person before the huge party.

        I loved the idea of floating cohosts so much! They were definitely a big help this year.

        I also like the main/secondary host having separate rooms and I think we should do that again this year.

        I've got nothing else to say. Sorry, I'm boring. xD

        And we definitely need to stop Robayn. She's just being inappropriate right now. ):<

i also noticed some people changing out of their entered avatars
and i don't know about the rules for all of the rooms, (detective room didn't have any posted rules for the contest that I saw)
but i thought you had to wear your outfit the whole ball
