Feng was just walking. Sometimes it felt like that's all he did, but there was little else to do until he got to the next destination. Around him, the scene started to change and everything took on a warm glow. It was enchanting. Charming, even. Silver trees began to crop up and guide his path. They were eerily uniform, but still beautiful. Eventually they parted to make way for a larger silver tree, equally bare as the others but someone still more grand. Something wasn't quite right though. It felt alive, but sick. Barely hanging on. She wanted something that sounded so simple, so he agreed. He walked until he reached a lake and heard her voice again. He nodded and cupped his hands in the water, and slowly, so painfully slowly and carefully, he carried it to the tree. When he spilled the water over it's roots it shivered, and then dropped an acorn into his hand. As he was enthralled with the seed, the tree shuddered and withered, task finished. Acorn: 8mm

Quote: Rolling a 6: Your character is a private eye detective, and this time, they have been hired on what is claimed to be an unsolvable case. You arrive there with only your handy notepad and your own, sharp eye. Something about the case seems odd, from the body, to the events happening, something paranormal. You feel like there is more to the story than what you've been given, but you can't place a finger on it, not quite yet. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a detective, in Film Noir setting (in the 1930's). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Feng arrived on the case with his notepad in hand and a pen behind his ear. It was a dark, wet night and he'd have rather been home with a bowl of soup and a sitcom marathon, but a man had to work. The cops had already been cleared out, leaving the investigators space to collect evidence and pictures of the scene. Feng only has eyes for the body, though. He passes through the workers, the blood splatters, the mayhem, right to the body. He wished he hadn't. She'd been young. Real young. Maybe 16. The rags of her former floral dress barely covered her now, and what little still did was saturated in blood. Huge gashes covered her face and torso until he couldn't even figure out her build. It was sickening, and he felt his stomach roil like it hadn't since he was just a rookie. He turned and found the nearest authority, and grabbed him by the collar. "Tell me what I'm looking at," he demanded. The cop looked pale, but he swallowed thickly and answered. "Looks like an animal attack." "That?" Feng asked, shaking the authority towards the body, "That looks like an animal attack to you? What animal is that big and powerful?" "Uh, bear?" "Yeah? How many toes do bears have?" "...Five?" "Exactly. That's four claw marks, not five. You expect me to believe this was a bear attack? That a bear got this angry - in the city - and mauled some innocent girl? I'm not buying it." "I don't know what to tell you. We don't have an explanation." "You need to find one, because that's not natural. Someone is not giving up all the information, and I'm going to figure out who it is."

Quote: Rolling a 1: Your character exists in a timeline where the horsemen Apocalypse actually occurred. Basically the Horsemen (four clans) have taken over the Human World. If you are a horsemen you dominate this world, if you are a Hunter you exist as food, if you are part of Halloween you exist as the Resistance fighting against the horsemen. All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. The sun rarely came out anymore. Death had built their forges so mighty that the soot, and the steam, and the heat blocked out the sky so that all was dark and gritty, all day. The resulting atmosphere was fitting for how desolate the world felt these days. Feng sat in the corner of an abandoned shack, head laid back as he basked in the first bit of rest he was allowed in days. It felt like he'd been running forever, but he had no choice. If he stopped for too long, they horseman would find him. They'd find him, and then they'd eat him. Here though, he could be safe for maybe a couple hours. He hadn't seen hide nor hair of a horseman for miles. This was a dead zone. The shake was dank and dirty, burnt from the inside out by the war horsemen when they'd descended on this area, but it was still standing and that was enough for Feng. He'd already ransacked what was left of the cupboards but there were no supplies to be had. He was thankful for a place to sleep though. Just as he was about to slip into blissful unawareness there was a rustle and the crack of boots on warped wood. He jumped into a crouch immediately, hand reaching out for a weapon that wasn't there. Panicked, he saw his pack across the room. Stupid! He should know better than to leave his stuff so far away. Before he could make a decision on what to do two people walked in. Humans. But they immediately had a bow and a gun pointed at him. Feng threw his hands above his head. "Human!" He shouted. "I'm human!" It was a dark haired man and a pink haired woman. The man, holding the gun, stepped forward and squinted at him for a long moment. "Yeah, he's human," he said with an accent Feng couldn't place. The girl immediately dropped her weapon and strolled forward to bend over and look at him more closely. Being scrutinized so closely made Feng squirm, but after a second she grinned. "Hi there! Good to see another survivor. Haven't had your bones gnawed by a pony yet, eh?" Her voice was oddly cheery for the situation, but it was actually kind of soothing. Feng nodded. She stuck out her hand. "Name's Chel. Dark and broody over there is Dory. Welcome to team human, bro." "F-Feng," he said, shaking her hand in a daze.

Feng was unbelievably nervous. Here, standing in the grand doorway to the dining hall, waiting to be sorted, Feng could safely say he had never been more nervous in his life. What he he got some totally awful house? Like Serpentarius? Oh no, he was totally going to be Serpentarius.
Kids around him all whispered loudly to each other, but one person stuck out.
"'Ey. Ten galleon say you'll be sorted into Pegasi, ma amie."
Feng twisted to see a dark-haired boy with blue streaks in his hair speaking to a bright pink haired girl. She was so vibrant, Feng was certain she'd spelled her hair.
"No way!" She shouted, octaves higher than the rest of her classmates, and obviously way too loud. "I'm totally a Leo. Bet you'll be Serpentarius, though."
The boy shrugged. "Would no' matter to me."
Feng gaped, and butted in without thinking. "How can you say that?"
Both of their eyes zeroed in on him. The boy raised a brow. "Excusez-moi?"
Feng gulped. "Uh. That it wouldn't matter to be in Serpentarius. Don't you know what they say about the people in that house?"
"Rumors," the boy scoffed, waving a hand.
"I think they're true," the girl pitched in. She grinned brightly at Feng. "I'd rather be in one of the other houses. Pegasi are wimps though."
Feng opened his mouth to reply, but he was interrupted.
"Dorian Cote!"
The boy's head snapped up and he pushed his way through the crowed. He'd barely sat on the stool before the sorted scarf screeched, "Capricorn!"
The girl clapped in delight. "Oh good!"
"Chelsea Craft!"
"Oh, that's me!" She patted Feng on the shoulder and pushed through the crowd. She sat on the stool for a while, but the scarf eventually screamed out, "Leo!"
"TOLD YA!" She shouted to Dorian at one of the end tables. She took a seat at one of the middle tables, and Feng couldn't help but glance between them as he waited.
It felt like hours before they got to Feng's name, but eventually they did call him and he settled uncertainly onto the stool. The scarf wasn't even wrapped around his neck before it cried out "Pegasi!"
Feng's shoulders slumped in relief. He wasn't Serpentarius! Thank Merlin!"
He hopped of the stool and down the steps, but as he passed Chelsea she patted his hand. "I'm so sorry."

Rolling a 5: Your character has been a minipet their entire life. They grew up in the Scarefari, where their parents told them to go to Minipet Battle School. Their hopes is to one day breed with a big, strong minipet and create beautiful children. However, on the way there are many adventures, including being bullied by stronger minipets in the Battle Arena, and nearly being sold to the Black Market, or taken to the Altar of Sacrifice. It's a cruel world in the minipet world, and not everyone is out to help them. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a minipet, in the minipet setting (anywhere on the site is fair game for interpretation "icly"). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

He smiled at his tree, growing healthy and strong. He was doing that, giving it life. He'd done a good job. "Not quite,"Oh no. Had he not done a good job? He turned back to the lake, but it had changed. He stared at the wonder of the castle and its lakes. Take some of this water, and my blessing. This is my last request. Show my children your world so they will grow each unique and different."He gravitated towards the warm pool and took some of it's water in his cupped hands. As he poured it over the new tree, he felt and heard the gentle crash of waves on a beach. He heard the rumbling of a huge military ship leaving dock. He felt the warmth of a larger embrace. The tree grew. "Are you satisfied with what I have become?"He looked at the wisps in awe. Yes, he was very much satisfied. He received the blessing, and with it the memory of a pet goldfish, and the few short years of happy life he'd given it. Feeding it, cleaning it's bowl. His first pet ever, and a happy memory.
