 w - where . . ? ;; Four fronds's forest~ w - when . . ? 2am. w - why . . ? Usually, when someone walks into the forest to explore, read, or just sit under a tree, they expect peace and calm. Not tonight. ;D

Petting Mom's downy feathers and submitting to having her hair fussed with by Papa, Alexin grumbled slightly at the over protection of her Lusii. Not that she really minded at all, but it tot4lly wasn't a hero thing to have a fussy parent! But then again, they did make a super-cool-epic-4wesome mount! . Rearranging her hair and the owl-feather accessory in it, she picked up her book, bracelets sliding down her arm as she did so. Today was definitely a girl day - even since the moment she'd woke up, Alexin had been drawn to the lacier of her tops, and had even branched out into a skirt (with shorts underneath of course - it would be a m4tchless 4ct of stupidity to not wear shorts when you got around by flying on a lusus and had to climb up and down onto them.) Her shoes were pumps today instead of the red trainers. All in all a rather delicate outfit for a forest encursion, but Alexin wasn't planning on doing any hunting or running or training today. No, today she had a well-worn copy of The Wind in the Weeping Trees, and a favourite tree to sit under. It wasn't in a glade, but instead in a tightly-knotted spiral of trees that made lovely patterns on the forest floor, but also prevented her lusus from coming. As such her giant sword was strapped to her back, making each step more effortlike then it should be and slowing her down.
The giant owl settled with a melancholy hoot, white eyes following their grub as she headed into the forest and out of sight. Papa clicked his beak slightly as well, an extra worry over the unsuitability of the weapon their grub had chosen. But worst come to worst they could tear down the thinner trees and collect them. And their grub was fast on her feet. Yes. The owl settled further, tucking his head under a wing for a nap whilst Mom kept watch.
As she approached the hugely knotted and swily tree, she discarded the oversized b*****d sword with a happy sigh, and sat in a patch of dappled moonlight, opening her book.
Completely at peace, and completely absorbed in her book.

The trees from the forest of Four Fronds were more like a jungle gym to Forera. Her scrawny arms clung to different branches every time she flung herself across, her legs swinging wildly back and forth. Around her neck hung the long body of Serpentmom, swinging along with her, clutched tightly to her throat. "Whoah whoah WHOAAAH Serpy mom!" Forera coughed, struggling to pull herself up on a big, firm branch, but her upper body strength was failing her. Finally with one big push, she managed to pull herself up. She let out a large exhale. "Caaareful Serp mum, you might just choke me, ahahaha!!!" She giggled, pulling at the dragon's thin body a little to loosen her up. Serpentmom just flicked her tongue back and forth on her charge's cheek, making her giggle even more.
Forera got up on the thick branch, looking down at the other thick, long branches from where she stood. Wow, I sure am high up, ehe... She thought, biting her lip... Well, time to start going down!! She grinned, throwing herself at the nearest branch and grabbing it. Sure, she was a bit nervous she would fall, but she had faith in her life. She wouldn't die, heh. She was 'immortal'!!
From branch to branch, tree to tree, Forera swung. She loved the rush of energy she felt as she soared from tree to tree, throwing herself at dangerous and small branches. Downwards she threw herself, having no problems— until she saw a tree in the distance, slightly bent over the lake. Forera squinted at the tree from afar, deciding it was the perfect spot to take a breather. A nap in the shade won't hurt! She jumped down onto a lower branch— something a bit closer to the ground... But it snapped under her weight. Down she fell, frantic and frightened, a small shriek of shock escaping her mouth. It was a short fall, thankfully, but the vivid pink trees made it feel longer, like she was falling down a neverending pink hole. Until she landed, Forera didn't feel relief. All her senses were on an all time high, and her body was flailing all over. At last, the feeling ended, her body falling right in front of a girl with a cerulean blue streak in her hair. She landed body first with a loud thud, her body feeling like it just fell from the highest cliff in the world.
"Guuurrhfhg...." Forera groaned in pain, half in a daze. She really needed to learn how to get better at jumping from tree to tree. It was an embarrassment.TanuKyle sorry for not having replied before, when this was made!! tag!! :>!!

quite uneventful It's no problem! I'm a slow tagger, so!
Forera was small enough for Mom not to notice until she came crashing down - when she did however, Mom hooted loudly and that, along with the thump of a small trolls body hitting the floor with some force, was what drew Alexin from her book. Instead of scrambling to her feet, she quietly marked her page with her pre-prepared bookmark and shut the book with a final 'snap'. Peering at the tealblood over the top of the book, she blinked, and then spoke, after considering what she was going to say - and waiting for the groaning to subside.
"Are you alright?"
The other toss-up had been something a little ruder, but the other troll looked rather stronger than she was, plus she was a tealblood - not quite as good as blue, but good enough! Meanwhile Mom and Papa were beginning to stand up, so Alexin whistled a low, soothing note. Still, she picked up her sword (with both hands and a heave), leaning it against the tree in a subtle declaration of 'I'm armed'. She didn't stay by it though, instead kneeling by the side of Forera.
"Don't move, you might have broken something."
It wasn't exactly care that prompted Alexin, more the opportunity to show off (and potentially use!) her medical knowledge. All gleaned from official "PROSPECTIVE DOCTOTURER" magazines! And books too, but the magazines were far more her level. She hadn't studied troll latin, after all.

A low snap resounded throughout their little area, a loud, long groan sliding out of mouth right after. Her entire body hurt like a b***h, holy crap, she just wanted to curse like crazy but she couldn't, Serpentmom was like right there(to her knowlage, at least), she would totally tail slap her! Urrrgh. Her body really hurt. She shut her mouth, eyes closed and teeth grit as she tried to ignore the pain spread out across her entire back. She shuddered, still deciding not to move. She needed to lay here for a little while. When a voice asked a question, Forera finally remembered no, she wasn't alone, the blue striped hair lady was still there. She shifted her head to look at her, and realized she had a sword out like she was threatening her. Forera just grinned, sharp teeth glinting in challenge even if she was laying on the ground like an easy target. If it was a fight she wanted, it was a fight she was gonna get!! She wouldn't loose anyways. What part of IM-MOR-TAL did trolls not get??
Starting to sit up and try to get into battle position, she saw the girl come closer, having left her sword near the tree. She instantly stopped— whoah, someone was helping her?? Oooh, she sure was nice! "Awwwwh, don't worry!! Hasn't brok'n nothin! Just a minor scrape is all, AHAHAHA!!" She laughed obnoxiously, sitting up completely. She rubbed her bruises and gave a confident grin to the girl like, hey, I'm ok, falling out of trees is nothing big, I fall off cliffs for a living!!! "Ooooh what'cha doin?" Suddenly a river of questions flooded out of her, eyes wide with curiosity— "Nice sword! What's it made of? LOVE your hair!! Looks like mine!! AWESOME lusus!! Have you met mine?" She blinked, realizing her caretaker wasn't around. "OI, SERPENTMOOOOM!!" She scrunched her mouth a little, looking up at the trees. "Ya still up there?" She licked her front teeth, clicking her tongue a few times before seeing a white shape slide down from the tree and land on her small lap.
Serpentmom had gotten caught on a branch during their fall. It had taken her a bit but after finding her charge, she just decided to slither up her neck and hang a little. Petting her affectionately, the girl smiled to herself. "This is Serpentmom!! I'm Forera!! Who are you!! PFTAhah, I mean, who are you?" She let a giggle at her silliness and grinned the the girl. She sure seemed friendly!!

Alexin wasn't angling for a fight with the whole sword thing ; she could barely lift the thing after all - if there was a fight it'd be her lusus that did all the work. And she didn't want her lusus to get hurt fighting - I mean, OBVIOUSLY her lusus would win, being as her lusus was THE VERY BEST and Forera had just fallen out of a tree and potentially broken something anyway and they were only a kid, and basically kind of a loser, teal or not? I mean, god, who felll out of a tree, that was just dumb!!!! Alexin's face twisted slightly in contempt as she observed the fallen girl. She'd never fall out of a tree. Not that she really did much tree-climbing, but that was completely beside the point. If she DID go tree-climbing she'd make sure to read up on it, then test it on smaller trees before trying fancy flashy things.
Then, to her surprise (it had been quite a fall) the other girl sat up and started to talk. And talk. AND TALK. Alexin's face started out neutral but quickly narrowed into disdain, fists curling slightly before she reminded herself to be polite and her face smoothed back out and her hands calmed down. she was saying nice things, after all, she told herself. It wasn't really her fault she was so...loud...and kinda irritating.
Okay actually it WAS her fault. But, still. Best behaviour - the others lusus could be poisonous after all, and Splitch was too far away to eat it.
"I'm Alexin Flynnt, and it is a pleasure to meet you."
Not entirely true.
"Are you sure you're okay? That was quite a tumble. And yes, my lusus is great - yours looks interesting too - what are they? A snake, a viper? Mine is an owl, if you can't tell! "
Admittedly a weird, four-winged, two-headed owl!

Forera hadn't noticed the obvious displeasure-- maybe they'd smelled something weird or something, it definitely wasn't her-- accepting their words with a wide, happy grin. "'S SO COOL to meet ya too! Y'seem like a cool kiddo!" She exclaimed, thrusting out a hand to shake before rattling on with more to say-- "Yeah yeah, I'm like soooo totally like, good right now! And man yeah, like, oohhhh my gog, Serpentmom is so soooooo cool, she's like a mini dragon, y'know?! She's so cool!" She pet Serpentmom lightly, who flicked her tongue lightly against the cheek of the other before looking over to the lusus of the other-- WHOAH, were those two heads?!?!?! "Do they have like, two brains?!?! Or like, like, do they have one brain and the other controls the both of them?!?! Oh my gog that is so cool, aahhhh!!!" She exclaimed, eyeing it and looking all over it eagerly. It was too cool. She was thankful she met such a cool new friend!!
"Hey, hey, come climb trees with me!!!"
