The tree's request was simple enough. Out of all of the difficult and demanding trials Taima had already put behind her, fulfilling the wishes of a tree was almost a relief. A handful of water and a little bit of care was nothing that Taima would have any trouble providing.

Your character exists in a world where Halloween does not exist. They are Human and they go to a Human high school. They are part of a swimming club, and they are currently about to face a great competition. They know their rival swim team is trying to race against them but they must win the gold medal, for their team! All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

No one had ever really expected much from the Amity High swim team. They seemed to exist as marginally as any other mediocre sports team, with little pressure from the coaching staff or school or district or anyone. Their supporters consisted entirely of parents and significant others and friends who had absolutely nothing better to do. There had never really been an emphasis on competition, because they hadn't provided anyone else with any.

That had been the case for as long as Amity High had been open--until that year. No one knew exactly how it had happened, but suddenly, they were a force to be reckoned with. That year, for whatever reason--maybe the stars aligned, maybe the team had spent the summer really focusing, maybe every other school just really sucked--they made it to the state finals for the first time.

Taima was excited and nervous and jittery and on edge. She was only a junior, but she had been on the swim team since her freshman year, and she had seen her peers come together to overcome all of the odds. Now there was only one thing standing between them and victory. The team from Deus prep was good. Making it to the state finals was nothing new for them. They were the favorites to win this year, just like they had been the year before, and the year before that.

Taima watched them warm up, watched them joking and laughing and goofing off like it would be just another swim. Just a formality. Give the other kids a chance, and all that. After all, no one could stand up to them.

She would relish the fall of Deus when Amity kicked their asses. It wouldn't be long now; the meet was set to start soon.

All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

It was interesting, seeing the world from a snake's-eye view. It was disconcerting at first, of course, what with the lower perspective and the fact that snakes didn't actually see all that well, but Taima could get used to it. Especially because out of all of the other big and fearsome animals, everyone seemed to fear her--the snake in the grass--the most.

Your character only knows about the Arena. They exist in the Arena, they fight in the Arena, they are slaves in the Arena. Every single day, they live, caged, watching countless faces also get roll in, and countless faces die. Every single day they wait for their 99th kill. They are on kill 98. Tomorrow will be kill 99. Tomorrow, they will face -

It is up to you how your character looks, and (optionally) what weapons they use as well as who they face. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

Blood dripped, fresh and bright, from her taloned gauntlets as she stalked out of the Arena. She was oblivious to the raucous cheers of the crowd. She didn't care if they loved her or hated her; she wasn't doing this for them. She wasn't doing it for herself, either. She had lost her sense of purpose long ago, her sense of time along with it. She didn't know how long she had been here and had long since forgotten her life before the Arena. All she knew was the fight. Survival. Victory. Without any one of those, none of them would be possible.

Tomorrow would be her 99th kill, spoken of already in hushed tones of awe and reverence. She didn't know who her opponent would be. It didn't matter. They would face the same fate as the 98 before them, and however many there would be after that.

What bizarre memories. They didn't seem to fit with the other glimpses of Taima's past life that she had been privy to. The tree seemed to grow and thrive anyway, and soon it was a healthy little sapling. It wasn't enough, though, it needed more. She turned back towards the lake and was surprised to find instead five smaller ponds. She looked at them curiously; although they all looked the same, they all gave off very different vibes. With a shrug, Taima scooped some water from the pool that felt best to her and offered it to her tree.
