There was light, and it encompassed him, warm and white and glowing. He felt a familiar pang in his chest, as wisps broke free from his dark form, their white translucency akin to wispy tendrils he had known, that had wrapped so tenderly around his left side. He had completed someone, touching those wisps. But these were unlike Gabriel’s, warm where he had been chilled, and they floated away from Efflo, urging him to follow. They were inviting and familiar even if they were not the same as Gabriel, and Efflo followed them, clinging to some hope that he might find what he was looking for. He followed them, past the rows of silver trees, until the glowing orbs paused at the end before a tree that was larger than them all. It stood tall and silver, but barren. Efflo felt awkward standing before the sickly tree, so pristine and light. He was out of place here, with his darkness, but he longed so desperately to stay in the light. Gabriel, he would be in the light, not in the darkness. But Efflo faltered, was he worthy of being here? He didn’t deserve such a pleasant world, he was far more deserving of the crumbling prison he’d just escaped. Yet before he could turn and leave, a voice called to him, feminine and sweet. The tree spoke to him, and he listened to her plea, nodding his head. He would help her, if only so he could feel as though he deserved her light. Quote: Acorn: 4mm

The forest suddenly gave way to a lake, its surface glittering with the light of thousands of orbs dancing and skimming over it. Efflo stared, mesmerized by it. Its shining white water called to him, and he pressed closer and closer until he was crouching on its banks, lowering his face to the water.
It was wet.
A voice echoed from it, just as one had echoed from the tree. It sounded sad; it was sorry that it had what its children needed yet it could not move to heal them itself.
Efflo nodded, he would help. And the moment he did, the orbs pulled him from the water and quickly he scooped what water he could into his small hands. The orbs guided him back towards the tree, and Efflo did his best not to spill his precious cargo. There was so little of it to begin with. When they got to the tree, he bent carefully, tipping the water onto the tree. Even with his meager offering, it shivered, producing a single tiny acorn from a branch above Efflo.
Without warning it fell, and Efflo jumped to catch it, cradling the tiny seed in his hands. The tree thanked him, and then withered before his eyes. Efflo frowned, looking at the acorn in his hands and then at the twisted and dead tree now in front of him.
Had he not done enough?

He returned to lake at the orbs insistence. Again it called to him, louder this time and he found himself walking into the very heart of it, until he was completely submerged beneath its waters. Beneath the surface, the voice speaks again, bequeathing him with a second task. All around him, shadows begin to grow; the vague forms turning into large blue bubbles that beckon him to remember. Quote: Rolling a 10: All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Quote: Efflo lived in a world where he wanted to be the very best. The best that there ever was in fact. He had just turned ten and was ready to begin his journey. Zipping up his backpack, he ran downstairs, quickly grabbing a sandwich his mother had left for him on the counter. Silently, he left the house and headed right, then upwards. He stopped at the tall grass, hesitating. This was it, he thought, there was no turning back after this. Efflo lifted his feet slowly and was just about to step forward, when someone shouting made him pause and quickly turn around. “Hey, wait, don’t go out there!” Professor Arel yelled, running towards him. “That was close! Wild creatures live in tall grass! A creature can appear at any time in tall grass. You need your own creature for your protection. I know! Here, come with me.” --- Efflo followed the professor back to his lab and was surprised to see his neighbor, and the professor’s grandson, Gabriel, standing there, tapping his foot impatiently. “Gramps! I’m fed up with waiting!” “Hmm? Gabriel? Why are you here already? I said for you to come by later… Ah, whatever! Just wait there. Look Efflo! Do you see that glowing orb on the table? It’s called a heart. It holds a part of you, your creature inside. You may have it! Go on, take it!” Gabriel glared at Professor Arel, looking pissed off. “Hey! Gramps! What about me?” “Be patient, Gabriel, I’ll give you one later.” Gabriel quieted at that, but he didn’t look any happier about the situation, his glare now turning on Efflo. Efflo tried his best to ignore it and approached the table with the heart. Tentatively he reached for it with his fingers, only to find himself suddenly shoved out of the way by Gabriel. “No way! Efflo, I want your heart!” Gabriel snatched the heart! Professor Arel stood staring in disbelief. “Gabriel! What are you doing?” “Gramps, I want this one!” Professor Arel stared. “But I… But you’re both… Oh, all right then. His heart is yours. He was going to give it to you anyway...” Gabriel smirked, waving the heart in front of Efflo. Efflo just stared, unsure of what had just happened. His heart? Was that, his heart in Gabriel’s hands? But he didn’t have long to consider it, or consider why it felt so right, because with a smug look on his face, Gabriel had turned towards the door and was leaving. “I’m gonna make this heart fight to toughen it up! Efflo! Gramps! Smell you later!” --- Unfortunately for Gabriel, though he had really wanted Efflo’s heart, Efflo hadn’t accrued very many achievements and so the summoned form of himself was, well, it was something.

Quote: Rolling a 6: Your character is a private eye detective, and this time, they have been hired on what is claimed to be an unsolvable case. You arrive there with only your handy notepad and your own, sharp eye. Something about the case seems odd, from the body, to the events happening, something paranormal. You feel like there is more to the story than what you've been given, but you can't place a finger on it, not quite yet. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a detective, in Film Noir setting (in the 1930's). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Quote: “Listen, dollface, I don’t have time to do this song and dance with you right now, I got a case to solve and you’ve either got something for me or you can get gone. Understand?” Efflo was glaring at the handsome dragoness of a woman lounging on his desk, and she stretched luxuriously, pointedly batting her eyelashes at him. “No one ever resists me, Mister Skeleton. I have what you need. But it’s going to cost you.” She shifted, leaning across the desk until she was right in front of him. She grabbed his tie, and pulled him upwards, until they were face to face. “You know there’s something off about this case, don’t you?” she whisper, running her fingers under his jaw. “Some things that just don’t add up. What would someone need a human heart for? And why would they use rusted scissors to cut it out? It just doesn’t make sense, Mr. Skeleton.” “What are you getting at?” Efflo asked, narrowing his eyes at her. He had to admit she was a beautiful woman, platinum blonde hair and pale skin and she had the most stunning blue eyes. It was easy to be tempted, their faces so close he could just steal one kiss and be done with it. But one kiss would never be enough, and he knew it, so he carefully extracted his tie from her grasp and pushed his chair back. He put as much distance between her and possible, standing decidedly by the door and lighting a cigarette. “Get to the point, or get out, Gabriella.”

Quote: Rolling a 7: Your character is a wizard that goes to Pigfarts, the most prestigious wizarding school of them all. It is their first year transferring into the school, and they are scared they will be sorted into Serpentarius, the rumoured "bad group" among the four sorted groups. You secretly hope you will either be part of the Pegasi (hard working, but not very intelligent), Leo (Brave and noble), or even the Capricorns (Intelligent). If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a student of Pigfarts. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Quote: As a puggle, Efflo was very lucky to get accepted into Pigfarts Wizarding Academy. He stood with the other first years, waiting to be sorted into their respective houses. Everyone was whispering excitedly together, but Efflo stood a few steps away from the group, quietly thinking to himself. Even though his was a puggle, he knew deep down that he belonged in Pegasi. He could feel it, right down to his hooves paws. He shuffled in line nervously, his place quickly approaching the sorting crown. He really hoped he wouldn’t be put in Serpentarius, or even worse, Leo. He shuddered; predators. Then it was his turn, and he slowly climbed the stage, feeling awkward under the intense scrutiny of the rest of the school. He carefully lifted the worn old crown from the stool, and sitting down, placed it onto his head. All at once he was taken away from the dining hall, and into darkness. It was just he, and the sorting crown, and it laughed at him from the darkness. “A puggle! In Pegasi! You have high hopes boy, but I like that. I put your friend Gabriel into Serpentarius, you know. He'll stop at nothing to be the greatest wizard of all. But... If you are willing to work hard and to overcome all odds, and species, I suppose…” “PEGASI!”

Quote: Rolling at 3: Your character exists in a world where Halloween does not exist. They are Human and they go to a Human high school. They are part of a swimming club, and they are currently about to face a great competition. They know their rival swim team is trying to race against them but they must win the gold medal, for their team! All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Quote: Efflo didn’t want to swim in the competition. Everyone wanted him to swim for gold, but that didn’t matter to Efflo. He only swam free. So the day of the competition, he refused to swim his race, balking at the entrance to the pool. His teammates and childhood friends tried to encourage him, trying their best to push him through the gate but he wouldn’t budge. Coach Arel was pulling his hair out in frustration. It wasn’t until his rival, and former friend, Gabriel walked up, looking pissed. He’d sacrificed his times just so he could be in the same race as Efflo, and now Efflo wasn’t even going to swim? Not happening. He grabbed the boy by his swim trunks, and hoisting him up, dragged him into the pool. Efflo glared. Then he lost, which was fine by him. Losing meant he was now free to go home.

Quote: Rolling a 9: Your character only knows about the Arena. They exist in the Arena, they fight in the Arena, they are slaves in the Arena. Every single day, they live, caged, watching countless faces also get roll in, and countless faces die. Every single day they wait for their 99th kill. They are on kill 98. Tomorrow will be kill 99. Tomorrow, they will face - It is up to you how your character looks, and (optionally) what weapons they use as well as who they face. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Quote: Efflo was strong. Every kill made him stronger. He had climbed his way from nothing to ninety-eight, and finally the day had arrived. It would be his final kill, his ticket out of the Arena, and it was everything. He steeled himself before entering the arena, preparing him for the most difficult battle of his life. He entered to the the roar of the crowd, and he growled at them, glaring. There was only one person he wanted to see, and that was his opponent. But the other end of the arena was empty. A voice crackled over the loudspeaker, paging staff. "Opponent to Arena 1, please, opponent to Arena 1." But he never came. Efflo was livid. He rampaged around the arena, then out of it and onto the street, wrecking everything in his path. Nothing could stop his tantrum, and he angrily shoved his pursuers out of the way, and climbed the nearest building. Quote: Achieve Get!

Satisfied with the bubbles of his memories, the little acorn had grown into a small tree, delicate but alive. Yet a voice drags him back to the lake, only in its place there was a castle in the distance but its image was warped and rippled, as though it was hidden beneath a veil of water. The colors are soft, tranquil blues and purples that shift as water pours from mirror-like rocks, reflecting their hues on every surface. Several pools of water stand before him, and the voice invited him to choose the one he liked, to share it with its children. As if he had always known, Efflo reached for the cold pool, its cool waters sliding over his hands, its iciness climbing right into his heart. He remembers being alone, and he remembers confusion. At one point he remembers arrows, piercing his shoulder and his middle, and his voice crying out. He remembers feeling tired, and alone, and curling up to sleep in fear. But as the cold water slips from his grasp and onto the tree, it reminds him of something, of the cold arms that had wrapped around him, and carried him to safety. Cold arms that held him while he shook upset and frightened. He could have gone back to the pool, and bathed in those cold waters, they soothed him. But he was happy enough to let them sooth the tree, and to watch as it grew before him. A wyrm, dark as he, curled around the tree, asking if he was satisfied. Yes. He was satisfied. For if nothing else, the little creature reminded him of his beloved, and he reached out to fondly stroke its head. Gabriel had cared for him so dutifully, and so he had imparted that care onto the tree. It had grown tall, and draconic, and he was proud. He was one step closer to home.
