Rep wasn't sure where he was, but the light was warm and gentle and the will-o-the-wisp that hovered ahead of him didn't seem dangerous. He felt safe as he descended into the enchanted forest, moving along the path as though guided by invisible hands. The trees were barren, as was the landscape in spite of all its beauty until he came to the lone tree which longed for aid.

He listened curiously, and decided to help it regain its Legacy.

gaia_diamond Rolling at 3: Your character exists in a world where Halloween does not exist. They are Human and they go to a Human high school. They are part of a swimming club, and they are currently about to face a great competition. They know their rival swim team is trying to race against them but they must win the gold medal, for their team! All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

“Get ready boys, you are up in ten minutes!.” The swim coach - a red haired eccentric looking man called Allan - called out to the teams gathered at the end of the pool. On one side, Rep didn’t move even an inch from the bench where he sprawled shoulder to shoulder with some of his teammates. As always, he left everything to the last minute if he did it at all, known for his abrasive and unruly demeanour. Today he was seated with his usual cohorts, Jordan and Harrison. The three of them together made up the core of the school team, with plenty of talent between them, Harrison was known for his steady endurance, persisting where other swimmers gave up and failed - he excelled at the medley, Jordan was renowned for his finesse in quick turns that shaved seconds off of his times and Rep himself, though lanky and gawky with youth still, promised to fill out into an even stronger and more capable swimmer, his speeds already tallying well. The others on the team consisted of the fittest the school had to offer, from Wash, another of their well paced surprises to the true dark horse of the team, Jerry. Jerry filled in when everyone else was stricken with some form of rampant virus. Sometimes when he jumped in he sunk. Sometimes he pulled out a win from nowhere.

Today was nevertheless a big day, the Deus Jaegers would be facing off against the Halloween Kaiju for the international title. Everything was riding on a big win, if they managed to pull it together they could secure funding for a renovation of the entire pool area. Tensions were running high across the board and supporters had turned out to back up their respective teams, Rep froze and glared coldly at Sasha who had come to visit and support Wash from the stands, the two had never gotten along and Rep almost wished ill on his teammate just for the sake of disappointing her. Snooty cow. His mum had embarrassingly showed up to support him and he could see her from the bench in the crowds, making eyes at the headmaster, it gave him chills, if she ended up with the swarthy Dr H, he would have to change schools.

The other team were seated across from them, an odd bunch to say the least, Rep was sure the school had to have been dealing with some kind of illegal scholarships for migrants or something, they ranged through all spectrums of ethnicity, and some of them even had ******** tattoos. He wasn’t even old enough for one yet. If for no other reason than brute jealousy, Rep decided then and there they had to win. No one got to have what he couldn’t have.

“Line up.”

He got up and made his way to his lane, arching his back as he eyed the water, he’d be running butterfly against the tattooed guy himself.

It was a matter of pride.

gaia_diamond Rolling a 4: Your character exists in a part of the wild west, where law is no longer on their side. They must obey the Sheriff, and that is their only singular rule in these parts of town. Their town is often attacked by the unrulies, neighbouring crude towns that reside to no laws. It is up to you to keep your own town afloat, and remember what it means to be a cowboy. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a cowboy, or something that exists in the wild west setting. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

They were outlaws of a sort, riding from town to town taking what they needed. It was for the good of the county really, they were doing a favour, every town had its problems, every sheriff was overwhelmed. They simply trod the line between good and evil more boldly than others. What had to be done to deal with problems got done, whether that was killing, stealing, burning houses to the ground. They were the necessary evil in a land where law was holding on only by a thread.

They were known as the hunters.

The main town in the area was known as the island, a main hub of shops, saloons and traders, perpetually under assault by the bandit camp just over the pass called ironically, Amity.

gaia_diamond Rolling a 10: All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

Rep had been waiting a long time to finally get to partake in his summoning ritual, to finally call forth the creature which would represent him, would battle for him, would represent some part of his soul to the world at large. He'd been late in receiving his blessing, his friends and partners gaining their spirit creatures so long before him that he had begun to doubt he would ever transcend, that he would be one of the forlorn lones who never manifested a creature.

But today was the day, the elders had called him up with the younglings, called him up to see if he would be chosen, and embarrassed and vulnerable, he stepped forward.

He wasn't hopeful to gain a spirit beast, few individuals bound after the first flourish of youth, but he went up and stood regardless.

He could never have guessed he would call forth the tiger.

gaia_diamond Rolling a 1: Your character exists in a timeline where the horsemen Apocalypse actually occurred. Basically the Horsemen (four clans) have taken over the Human World. If you are a horsemen you dominate this world, if you are a Hunter you exist as food, if you are part of Halloween you exist as the Resistance fighting against the horsemen. All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

Chained and bound.

Chained and bound in blackness.

Days bled into months bled into years.

They had failed everyone, failed everything. And yet he never gave up, in the dark and in the deepest depths of hurt and fear, with nothing but taking from him, taking everything he represented and was, in the mud and the starvation and desolation he knew he would find them again.

He would find them again, he just had to bide his time.

He told them they feared humans because of their resilience, and he intended to prove it to them, they could never defeat them, never stamp them out. One day they would rise again and reclaim the world they created from the raw potential of their own minds.

gaia_diamond Your character is a private eye detective, and this time, they have been hired on what is claimed to be an unsolvable case. You arrive there with only your handy notepad and your own, sharp eye. Something about the case seems odd, from the body, to the events happening, something paranormal. You feel like there is more to the story than what you've been given, but you can't place a finger on it, not quite yet. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a detective, in Film Noir setting (in the 1930's). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

The woman had been in tears when she came in and he hated to see a woman cry.

This town had gone to the dogs. A guy couldn't hold up his head in the gritty streets.

The shuttered door said W. Reid Private Investigator, and it was his job to chase up the broken dregs of relationships, the scattered remnants of love and family spilled over in the gutter. He felt nothing for any of them, family was alien to him, he was a parasite on other people's misery who sought not resolution but money.

But this case sounded promising, and he'd have to bring in all the resources at his disposal to deal with it. And he most certainly had contacts.

You pick water from the cold pool. Chilling, painful memories from your life seem to spring to life. As you pour the water onto the tree it grows one more time, and then is complete.

Quote:

As he picked up the water from the pool, he felt himself slowly slipping under the surface of his mind, into the familiar embrace of memories he would rather forget.

Winter time. No heating. Blankets didn't seem to make any difference at all to the cold, the kind of cold that crept in under the door and took hold of you by the ankles until you felt like all your bones were wrapped in ice. And there was nothing to be done about it, no money to put in the meter, no more sheets to wrap himself in. The television was off because the power was, he didn't want to watch it anyway, people on tv were always so ******** happy. He used to dream about punching their smug faces in, letting them see how smiling and happy they were when their quaint soap operas ran headlong into reality.

He was cold. And the cold ran deeper than the physical, it ran right to his very soul, to all that he was. He wanted to have everything because he had nothing, and it hurt.
