Lizzy followed the spark of light, intrigued by what it could be leading her to. It was beautiful here, with an almost enchanted and whimsical air about it... It was very different from what she had seen so far, as most of the other locations she had been to were filled with fog, ruin, and generally unpleasant things.

As she continued down the path, she begun to notice trees along the side; beautiful silver trees that were bare and empty. Ahead, she could see another one of those trees, except that this was was much larger... And she couldn't help laying one hand on it. It was odd to describe a tree as having a heartbeat, but that was what it felt like to her. However, the tree's heartbeat was weak. Faint. Like it might fade away any time soon.

While it was also odd for trees to talk, this one certainly was; there was a feminine voice coming from the tree, and it had a request. She wasn't sure what its circumstances were, but she nodded, agreeing to fulfill its last desire.

The lake was beautiful too, and while she was uncomfortable with the idea of being near water while she's alone, she was drawn towards it. Standing at the edge, she knelt down with a frown; there was a voice coming from the lake, and it was singing... Taking a deep breath and then holding it, she plunged her head into the water with eyes squeezed tightly shut.

The message was received, loud and clear. When she was lifted out of the water, Lizzy was filled with immerse relief. Since there was no bucket or any sort of container for holding water, and cupped her hands in the lake, and lifted the water out that way. Slowly, she stood up, and made her way to the tree, spilling over half the water on the way there.

Pouring the water on the tree, her eyes widened as an acorn sprouted right in front of her eyes. It then fell to the ground, and the tree shuddered before withering. As it withered away, she picked up the precious acorn.

"... You're welcome."

Acorn in hand, she made her way back to the lake, and was about to do what she did before when she realized that the lake wanted her in it. Not just her head. Begrudgingly, she waded into the water; at least it was shallow and she could see her own feet. When shadowy bubbles appeared around her, she started to reach for the ones closest to her-

Your character exists in a timeline where everyone eventually became consumed by Insanity. Everything is grey now, chaotic and bleak. All you can hear are the voices, and the voices of the Queens that reside over you, lording over everything you do. You exist just a little better than a worker bee. Regardless of if you are Human, Halloween, or Horsemen, you are simply broken remains of yourself, mutated beyond recognition. A claw, hand, arms, limbs, everything has merged together in a distorted shattered world. All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

She had forgotten what colors look like, or what she looked like. What it was like to have dreams and aspirations. What life was like before the grey invaded, leaving only chaos and destruction in its wake. She could hear their voices again, the voices of the Queens ruling over them... It seemed silly to miss how Humans, Halloween creatures, and Horsemen used to get into conflicts all the time; maybe it's because conflicts arise only because people care about things.

And right now, there is nothing to for anyone to care about.

They exist for the Queens. They work for the Queens. They are no longer individuals; no more 'I' or 'me' as everything is 'us' or 'we'... And she was starting to forget what it was like to not serve under a master.

Your character exists in a world where Halloween does not exist. They are Human and they go to a Human high school. Lizzy felt that if she were to exist in some other alternate dimension, she would probably be a spider because she could not swim no matter how others had tried to taught her. She blamed in on her lack of natural body floatation devices, since that was what one of their school's best swimmers, Amphi, had... Glorious, all-natural body floatation device on her chest.

Still, she had joined the school's swimming club in order to get a kouhai to notice her. Why wasn't he noticing her anyway? Despite not knowing how to swim, and having a constant blush from being around so many naked man chests at once, she liked to think of herself as an excellent manager. It's like she would have to fall into a pond thanks to her pet, and drown before he would pay attention...

As representatives of the 400m Free from each school were called to the block, she leaned over the railings overseeing the pool, and joined her school in cheering for their team.

All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

It was her 10th birthday, and Lizzy was excited to finally find out what sort of creature familiar she would summon... A zodiac animal? A non-zodiac animal? Most of her friends had already summoned theirs since they were born before her, and had submitted their application letters to Amityville Academy, a well-known school in the area; it was where most of the world's best familiar trainers had graduated from, not only in the area of battling, but in areas of beauty - such as grooming - as well.

With any luck, all of them would be able to enroll together, and start their first school year in the same school!

Putting on her favorite dress, she met up with her parents - and their creature familiars, a pig and a ram - in the living room, and held both their hands as they made their way to the King's temple in the capital; it was where everyone went to summon their creature familiar, since it was against the law for anyone to do so without being in the presence of the High Monk...

Her father explained that it is to make sure all creature familiars and their person are recorded. There were rebels in the country after all, using their creature familiars as weapons to hurt others; however, while the two biggest groups of rebels were both extremists, and resorted to terror and violence, they had very different ideals. One side, led by a woman named Medea, wants to overturn the monarchy in order to make themselves Queen, while the other side, led by a man named Caelius, was made up of mainly angry men and women who were tired of a monarchy, and wish to establish a democratic society.

It was all over the news.

At the temple gates, she joined a long queue comprising of children with their parents. Some looked as excited as she was, while others looked nervous. At first, her expression resembled that of the excited children, but the nearer she was to the front of the queue, the more nervous she got, and the tighter she held her parents' hands. When her turn came, however, she had to let them go; summoning your creature familiar should be a private event, after all, and should only be between herself, the creature, and the High Monk.

"I'm High Monk Arel, and come on. Hurry it up, I have a lot of paperwork to do," The High Monk muttered before going on about how there were too many children being born; he was a short, grumpy man with pale blue hair. His headpiece, a pair of white antlers to signify his rank and position, was impressive, and made him look just a little bit taller... But not at all intimidating. His creature familiar, an equally grumpy looking white rabbit, sat on top of a tall stack of papers on the desk he was at. Honestly, Lizzy was expecting someone a little... Friendlier. Like the old, kind monks who greeted them at the temple gates.

"Well, what are you waiting for?" He sighed, gesturing at a pillow on the ground in the small room they were in before pointing at a portrait on the wall in front of it, "Sit there, and look at the portrait of the Great Queen Hellma. Swear your allegiance to this country, and swear that you will be a law-abiding citizen. Close your eyes. Focus on projecting your energy on the space in front of you, like you should have been taught by your teachers in preschool."

From the monotonous way he was explaining things, she could tell that he was already bored of hearing his own voice... Then again, he must had said the same thing to thousands upon thousands of children in his lifetime. She would be bored and grumpy too, if she was in that position.

With a nod, she did as she was told; projecting one's energy was something every child had to learn while growing up, so she had no troubles with it. It was like... Imagining an image of yourself in front of you, but with the soul instead of with the mind. Her breathing slowed as she felt herself relaxing; she wanted to open her eyes to see if there was anything happening, but found that she could not. It didn't scare her though; she knew that this was part of the process...

"Hello!"

She heard a voice in front of her, and her eyes snapped open. Directly in front of her was a black rat with a small red mark - almost like an hourglass - on its lower back. Its curious expression mirrored that of her own, but Lizzy knew. She knew that they were going to be best friends.

Your character is a private eye detective, and this time, they have been hired on what is claimed to be an unsolvable case. You arrive there with only your handy notepad and your own, sharp eye. Something about the case seems odd, from the body, to the events happening, something paranormal. You feel like there is more to the story than what you've been given, but you can't place a finger on it, not quite yet. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a detective, in Film Noir setting (in the 1930's). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

She is Elizabeth Baines, private eye. There is no case she cannot solve, no puzzle too complicated, no criminal whose crime she cannot uncover. However, in all her years of work as a detective, she had never seen anything quite like this.

The scene is a grisly one; two dead, one plastered to the ceiling, one plastered to the floor. Both drained of blood. No obvious wounds, but the bruises on their arms and neck showed that they struggled before they died... She chewed on the end of her pen, her notebook opened to a fresh page as she stared at the two bodies.

"Oi, you. Get out of here and let the real detectives do their job," She was shoved aside by several men and women; the police had arrived with their detectives and scientists in their pristine white lab coast... Of course, they would take the evidence with them - the bodies, any blood stains, any hair left behind would all be gone by the end of the day, and the room would be off limits to anyone but those from the police.

She left.

Later that evening, she was at the local pub; it was a cozy establishment, opened by a dear friend with funds from the "side business" he would rather not talk about openly. Like always, she went for a root beer float, not being a fan of alcoholic drinks in general. A tall man took the stool beside hers; his hat was pulled down, covering his eyes, his trench coat looking too big for his lanky body.

"Eliza."

"Tom."

Not their real names, but that's how it was when there's a case.

"I know why you asked me out, but it's impossible... I can't risk getting caught passing you any - oh, I'll have what she's having - more information. Red's been keeping a close eye on me since I leaked you information regarding that last case."

"Hey, Red got nothing on you... I made sure of that."

"She wasn't keeping tabs on me then."

"Come on, bestest big brother in the whole world-"

"Aw, don't me that! You're exploiting my weakness!"

"Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease?"

He sighed, and she smiled, knowing that he was giving in... And she didn't even need to bring out the puppy eyes! As his root beer float arrived, he passed her a set of documents inside an envelope, and they continued to talk. No longer about work, but about life, about the ups and the downs, about love gained and love lost, and about meeting up again next time... Not as Eliza and Tom, but as Elizabeth Baines and Mot O'Boyle.

Back in her office, she had the documents spread out on her desk, and had started to put the pieces together, linking evidences together by placing a thin white thread from one evidence to the next. Estimated cause of death - the victims' loss of blood. Suspected weapons - two puncture marks on the victims' wrist indicate that it could be needles or another sharp object.

The more she weaved her web, the more confused and disturbed she was... This was no case like she ever had before. Even if someone was to drain the blood out of a human, there was no way they would be able to drain it all; there would surely be some blood left over in the victims' body... Unless, of course, the killer was not just anybody. Maybe it's not even human.

She chuckled at the thought, amused by her own ridiculous deduction.

The files held information she never knew before; they were not the only victims to be murdered in such a way. There were others - kept from the media, kept from the public - and there were enough cases to label this as a serial killer case. They did not want to risk fear breaking out among the masses, however, so even a great detective like her was left out of the loop... Her brow furrowed, and she continued to weave her web of evidences.

Victim relationships - colleagues, siblings, friends, neighbors, old schoolmates. A trend, since victims knew each other. Victim estimated time of death - an hour to midnight, midnight, one past midnight, two past midnight, three past midnight. A trend; the killer might strike again at four past midnight. Cause of death - loss of blood in all victims. A trend. Victim names - Elle Boyle and Matthew Olwen Burns, Matilda O'Brian and Ethan Bills, Elanor Brown and Miller "Oz" Bow, Ellie Bowler and Ma-

Dong.

She jumped, turning to look at the grandfather clock in her office; it was a gift from a friend, but she could never get used to how loud it was, especially in the dead of night when it's silent as a grave. With a sigh, she returned to her work, trying to reorganize her thoughts.

Dong.

Right, name trends... Initials were all E.B. and M.O.B., if nicknames counted. At this, she tilted her head, mildly surprised; the victims' initials matched that of hers and Mot's... Huh.

There was a knock at her door.

Dong.

"Elizabeth! It's Mot... I received your note to come over? It sounded urgent, so I rushed over as soon as I could! Are you alright?"

Note? She didn't send him any note-

Dong.

"Elizabeth? You in?"

It was four past midnight.

Her blood ran cold.

Your character exists in a part of the wild west, where law is no longer on their side. They must obey the Sheriff, and that is their only singular rule in these parts of town. Their town is often attacked by the unrulies, neighbouring crude towns that reside to no laws. It is up to you to keep your own town afloat, and remember what it means to be a cowboy. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a cowboy, or something that exists in the wild west setting. "This town ain't big enough for the two of us."

"I agree."

"So I challenge you to a- Wait, what's that?"

"I said I agree."

And that's the story of why Lizzy moved out of the town, and moved somewhere else.

Now that the acorn had become a sapling, Lizzy returned to the lake... Only to find it missing. In its place were several pools of water. It didn't take her long to pick a pool that appealed to her - a warm, light pool. Cupping the water in her hands, she felt a little happier as she moved to her sapling, and watered it.

Smiling fondly, she patted the tree trunk, "I am." She felt a sense of pride, having raised such a beautiful tree from when it was just an acorn...

It was not her first minipet, but it was the first minipet given to her by her mother since he arrival in school... And that made Rosenthal special. He had been by her side through thick and thin, and whenever she was sad, he would be there to cheer her up. Perhaps that's why she had spoiled him so, babying him more often than needed; he wasn't exactly the best behaved pet, but he was protective of her, and mostly did what he was told.

It's been three long years, but he's still her favorite.
