Still rather pleased with herself overall at the luck she was having, Aldara decided to take on another foe with her faithful companion.

There was one thing on this bow of his that he hadn't tried yet, and Elium had deemed this...odd, twisted blue thing a good target for such a thing. With a bit of focus, he aimed directly for the creature's head, inwardly crossing his fingers and hoping that something good would happen--
--aaaand it failed miserably, leaving him standing there holding his bow up and looking rather foolish. Good job, Elium. Good job.

Well, he was being so terribly useful this battle. Matters would certainly be helped if he could actually land a solid hit on the thing instead of waving his bow around and expecting some beam of light to blast the monster. ...even if that would've been really cool.
At the other's call, Elium jerked his head around, shifting a bit on his chosen perch. "Don't worry, everythin's alright up here!"

First time I use it, and it's a critfail. /facepalm but yes thank ; u;
She knocked another arrow, attempting to gain whatever rhythm she had started the fight off with, but it seemed to be gone. "Corvan seems to be taking a lesson from your bow or something... He's not usually like this." Her nose wrinkled at the bow and she looked very much like she were about to give it a stern talking to.

"Corvan?" he asked, tilting his head as soon as he'd loosed another arrow. He didn't see anybody else hanging around here--that was odd. "...and I promise I usually have better aim'n this. Got one of those mimic things real good earlier!" After a few shots, yes, but he'd done rather well with those to boot.

"Nice shot, there." Elium found it a bit easier to talk now that the pressing matters at hand were taken care of--namely, the large beast that had threatened to maul them at the first opportunity. Now that the thing was dead, he crept forward, delicately removing a pair of Blue Seals from the fresh corpse. It certainly wouldn't do to have his hand in there long--after all, he wasn't entirely sure if these monsters actually stayed dead yet.
"Your bow, though? Didn't...know these things had names." With that in mind, Elium eyed his own bow cautiously, raising a hidden eyebrow behind his mask. That...certainly would explain a few things, yes.

She stooped down to pluck two Blue Seals from what was left of the beast herself, eying them for a moment before tucking them in to her pocket.
"Thanks." She smiled, dusting a bit of dust off of her shadow coat. "You weren't so bad yourself, y'know..." Then her smile broadened. "Well, I don't know about all of them, but my weapon has a name! Took me a bit to get him to tell me what it was, but..." She paused, briefly, holding the bow up as if listening closely.
"... He says I talk too much." She said flatly, eyes narrowing. It was entirely possible that she was off her rocker.

To be perfectly fair, he'd seen weirder things in the past few...days(?) than somebody talking to their weapon. He simply shrugged, tilting his head slightly as she held the bow up as if to hear its voice better.
"Talkin' isn' really a bad thing. 'Specially not when there's not exactly a lot of friendlies out here--really looks like there's more monsters'n there is...well, us." With that in mind, he glanced around, scanning the horizon for anything that might be lurking in wait; when nothing yielded itself, he gave a short sigh of relief, relaxing slightly. "You got a name, though? I'm--Elium." Alright, that name was still weird to him. No doubt about it.
"Rae-- Aldara." She corrected herself while tugging on a strand of hair, chasing after a thought for a moment before holding her hand out to him. "Sorry. I know that's my name, but after everything... I mean, how do you forget what your name is? Nice to meet you, Elium."

"Yeah, I've got a bit of the same problem. Still doesn' feel quite right, y'know? Guess it'll...eventually make sense 'r somethin', but for now, it's just--not really." A snort. "On the plus side, we actually remember it, so that's good. And I figure this's what we're supposed to look like, for the mos' part. May be missin' a thing 'r two here'n there, but I don't think it's that biguva deal." He gave a short nod, absentmindedly smoothing the front of his coat down to little effect.
"No, it doesn't..." She puffed out a soft sigh, eyes drifting back to the beast that they had just slain. "... Might be a good idea to move on. I've never stuck around long enough to see what happens with these things after a while. Not entirely sure I want to be around when it happens either." Her nose wrinkled.
"Be careful out there, alright? Maybe we'll meet again... And by then we'll have an idea of what might be missing."
