Deja-vu struck her, but she couldn't entirely place where. When the warning came she spurred her mount to the side and dismounted quickly, taking cover. She heard the dying cries of one of the shadows, but she dismissed the idea; he died in the line of duty, and that was that.
"...What the heck are you supposed to be?" Amrita caught sight of Amphi and gave her a look. What an unusual creature...

How he got here, why he got here, and what he'd done wasn't the most clear. Sure, he'd chosen a pillar, and... the goddess... but now he was riding a-
He looked down in time to see the ruins, around curiously at the group. Several he didn't know, and... AH! Why was Amphi there! And hadn't he seen some of the others? He wasn't entirely sure, but he didn't have much time to wonder as he heard the command and ducked his head down briefly and rolled to one side as he realized that Amphi had vanished from her own.
Down, into a bush an- wait he'd heard an odd noise? He looked up in time to see one of the unknown forms fall. Poor guy...

Maple came to with a jolt and realized she was riding something. Again. That thing again. And it was happening again. "W-why is this h-happening again?" She frowned deeply as arrows came raining down - killing that one guy, again.
Wait, she knew some of these other people for once. Kind of, but not completely but... familiar. Oh wait. Cover. It was taken. Yes.

Amphi made sure that all of them were there, looking at Amrita with a confused look. "Um Arita...It's me. Amphi?" The girl who had been in the room with you when hunters had tortured them together?
"Anyways, Aki come here you....Aki and Maple." She gestured the two babies over. "Last time...Last time we tried to sneak. This time we should...um...fight." She breathed, "Because sneaking is not easy."

Aki nodded as there were slight introductions and wandered over at being called as they snuck into the castle. Last time they fought? They'd all come before then? He glanced at Maple and then Amrita before jumping a bit at the clank of the knight as they approach.
Oh. That was what she meant.
Sadly, that little warning didn't help and his swing was of as he jumped, barely nicking it.

"How do you---" Amrita stared at the girl, confused by what she was hearing. This girl knew her name, but... "I don't know you...and you've got a memorable face. Weird, but memorable." She wrinkled up her nose for a moment, and then looked at the other pair as they were called over.
"Well, either way, I agree with...Amphi?" Was that right? She hoped it was. "...Let's just mow through them and get on with it." Her grip shifted, clutching Misty Wrath to hoist it onto her shoulder. "We can take whatever comes our way."
The Knight loomed ahead of them, and Amrita's lips twisted into a vicious grin.
"Let's dance." She challenged, swinging her blade into the Knight's shoulder.

Personally, Maple wasn't fond of either option that could have been taken with getting through this. But she needed to be brave, and her brave face never appeared really. Just the worry as she looked at Amphi, Amrita and Aki. Huh, all A's. Anyways.
Amphi was right though, trying to sneak along had been terrible, they had been caught by so many guards and so maybe just taking this guy on was the best route. The girl swallowed and pulled out her weapon, her own one she had finally managed to obtain. And found.... she had a broom instead.
Wait... this was her broom... from that memory, "aa!" Her weapon, what she knew. What she was familiar with. Perhaps this is what she had gained from her last run, that feeling of something returned. She knew how to handle this weapon. And so, Maple smacked the knight hard with the bristles.

Alright, barking out in shock at the appearance of a knight aside, he knew how to actually swing his sword. So after a small nod from Amphi that she was still getting her weapon, he nodded and lifted the blade before following after the two with a nice good smack to the thing, leaving a gash along it.
Down the knight would go!

Amrita swung again, beheading the thing before bring the weapon around again, slicing it clean open in the middle, simply because she could.
With that, she buried Misty Wrath's spiked edge into the ground and clapped her hands together as if clearing dust.
"Well, that's done. Next." She grabbed her weapon again, and looked around to see where they had to go from here.

And as the thing broke into what appeared to be... no. He wasn't going to count that. That was a bit of a nasty end. Hopefully he never got on Amrita's bad side...
That said, he did find a small shining red piece to pick up as they were moving along.

Amphi breathed a sigh of relief as the creature fell, thinking it much better than the first trip around and their terrible sneaking. And like before the shadows led them into a room with a large fountain, taking a sip to replenish herself.
"Its a trapped hallway." Amphi warned as the shadow threw a pebble. And like she said, the hallway exploded with crashes and thuds of traps engaging before going eerie quiet.
"We'll go one at a time, Please don't hurt yourselves too bad okay?" The mermaid hissed. "Aki Puppy, Remember be careful! Don't look the arrows in the eye. Run as fast as you can through!"

Don't forget you can also sacrifice an NPC to bypass this room. Sacrificing an NPC to bypass counts for the entire party, as we're going to assume you send the poor sap forward to disable the traps only to lose them tragically in the process.
Amrita waited patiently for Amphi to finish her little warning speech to the rest of the group. Well, this one was certainly a Mother hen, wasn't she? Just as she finished though, the Huntress stepped forward, hoisting her weapon onto her shoulder to make it easier to carry.
"How about." She started. "I go first, and you all either step where I do, or don't." It was as good of a mother hen of an offer as they were going to get, and before anyone could stop her she was moving across the tiles carefully.
The first one launched spears at her, which embedded into her shoulder. The second sliced her chest as she leaned back to try and avoid a swinging axe, and the third burnt her feet on hot coals. The next two were safe spots, but the very last one embedded several tiny needles into her person, which remained on her like quills until she made it to the other side.
"F-----damn that stings!" She hissed, dropping her weapon to start picking the needles out of herself.
As they walked on they soon found themselves at a fountain. Since Amphi drank he figured it was safe. And it actually was rather refreshing. He smiled a bit at that until they wandered further down a hall and paused.
What was this about being careful? He got the idea soon after. Amrita ran through first as he watched. In utter silence.
...traps? No wonder he was supposed to run fast. Ok... ok he could do this. He gave one last nod before darting straight into the hall and managing to dodge past the first trap that swung down at him. Why was there a giant spikey ma-
OW! Okay, stop worrying about a mace and more about the rocks that suddenly came flying at his head. He quickly ducked down to cover his head, which wasn't the best idea either. Then an arrow grazing one his shoulder followed by, pure luck, as a boulder that would have crushed him rolling over his tail. That wasn't exactly pleasant and did at least kick him back into running rather quickly down the hall at that point. Which lead to every other trap missing him as he stood huffing rather surprised at the end.
The fountain had been nice and replenishing. But it also served as foreboding, because the girl knew was was beyond it. That room, that horrible room. She didn't want to go into that room. And although Amphi's advice had been for Aki specifically, Maple decided to take it as well.
And ran, as fast as she could. It didn't work well in the beginning. Rocks smashed around her, cutting her arms and skin. Then arrows whizzed fast her, clipping her in the shoulder, finally she tripped. Because, she always tripped. But the rest of the horrible room didn't seem to get her. Perhaps determination as she wheezed - "no no no no no!"
