Using her weapon as a walking stick was a good idea, since it was just too long and heavy for her to hold it any other way; she would probably end up knocking into others otherwise. Besides, it was protesting about how dragging it along the ground was not dignified.
Spying a huge creature ahead attacking someone, she rushed towards it to the best of her ability before taking a swing at it. When she turned to look at the person she was trying to help, the first thing she noticed was-

Well, fighting alone wasn't so bad, but it was awfully lonely. Wilson held up his weapon for another strike, but paused when someone came in. He blinked, then laughed and smiled. "Yeah, I guess we do! What a coincidence."

"I like this weapon," She mused out loud, "Even if it's too big for me..." She swung the scythe to her side, using the handle to block the creature from getting to her.

"Isn't it?" Lizzy sounded like she was on the verge of squealing as she straightened her weapon; it was taller than her, and she looked as proud as if she was introducing her boyfriend. Or something.
"I'm glad it chose me to be its companion... You'll grow to love it, I'm sure!" She beamed, forgetting that they were in the middle of a battle. As the creature struck, she was taken aback, and lost her grip. The scythe fell... And stabbed right through the creature's snout.

Wilson laughed. The height difference was amusing to see.
"Yeah, probably! Just need to get used to actually using it.." His voice trailed off as the creature struck and her scythe fell...right on the snout.
